Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia symptoms vision

fibromyalgia

Avatar f tn I would do a search for MS symptoms and one for fibromyalgia symptoms and see if your symptoms line up with either of these. I have fibro and know people with MS. Your symptoms sound similar to both of these conditions to me.
Avatar f tn ve had fibromyalgia for 14 years and double vision since 2006 and none of my small-town doctors know why. My eyes are extremely puffed up under my eyebrows too. Is this another fibromyalgia symptom or is it something else?
Avatar f tn well try to check yourself have someone do this, press on the front arm, straighten your hands and arms and press in front of your arm.where your elbow is take your finger and cross over in front of it then press. if you feel the pressure flaring up that goes straight up to your shoulder blade then its fibromyalgia. i had the same sign you currently describing. my email is ***@**** if you want to know how i am managing without drugs. send me an email. will be more then happy to share with you.
Avatar m tn Any physical or emotional trauma can cause a flare up of fibromyalgia symptoms. It is best to seek a second opinion and have a discussion on the possible alternatives, especially conservative treatments if possible. In fibromyalgia medicines should always be used along with exercise and behavior therapy. Consult an experienced doctor. I sincerely hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!
Avatar f tn Magnesium deficiency symptoms are numerous but from your list of symptoms includes wide spread pain (my my doctor thought I had fibromyalgia), ear ringing, migranes, blurry vision, wheezing, dizziness, fluid retention, fatigue (although fatigue and fluid retention are symptom of insulin resistance/pre diabetes as well) to name a few symptoms. Your kidneys might not be too healthy either. Just to add, my mother currently has severe oedema in her ankles due to untreated hypothyroidism.
Avatar n tn double-vision (only when I look down), blurred vision, a bit of dizziness and balance issues. I've also been noticing some memory issues (forgetting peoples names and simple words). I also have light sensativity. I went to an optometrist and he said that my vision was fine and it's probably a sinus issue. The only thing is I dont' have sinus issues...I don't even have a runny nose. And I'm not prone to headaches.
Avatar f tn My doctors are considering a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, contingent upon the results of a recent biopsy to determine if Sjogren's is a factor. Can fibromyalgia be the cause of my symptoms that cycle (recurring fevers, rash, fatigue, pain, blurry vision, and numbness in hands and feet)? I've heard of it being a factor in regard to fatigue and pain, but am unsure about vision, rash, numbness, and especially fevers.
17579834 tn?1458019469 my vision also goes black a lot when standing up or turning on lights, but my vision returns quickly. I am seeing a neurologist, pa, RA, and ophthalmologist. I haven't gotten to see the optha. yet though.
3065262 tn?1342122561 forget about Fibromyalgia. those are not the specific symptoms. moreover Fibro. is not really an established medical condition, it's only a name for a collection of similar symptoms therefore in practical terms to say someone has Fibro. means everything and nothing. what do you mean with knots? hard lumps? lymph nodes? where are they? (actually nodi is Italian for knots) is double vision vertical or horizontal? you see the objects overlapping left-right or top-bottom?
Avatar m tn I read of a few people with Neurological symptoms, Peripheral Neuropathy maybe, who had swollen hands and feet/ankles. paresthesia. numbness. slight loss of vision and other issues. I never heard of swelling being a typical feature of Fibromyalgia. consider that Fibro. is barely a defined clinical condition, basically only a collection of patients with similar symptoms.
1364792 tn?1278051187 The symptoms first started out with chest pains and now have increased to random pains and numbness all over my body, headaches, sinus/allergy symptoms, dizziness, and vision problems. My doctor thinks that i might have an anxiety problem but i have never been much of an anxious person so i did some research and fibromyalgia seemed to go along with some of my symptoms.. i was just wondering what other people thought.. is it fibromyalgia, anxiety, or something else? I want opinions! Thanks!
Avatar m tn I am wondering if all of these seemingly unrelated symptoms could all be caused by my Fibromyalgia, or if there is something else going on. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated! My symptoms are: Dizziness Daily headaches Itchiness all over my body at night Restless legs Thinning hair!

Avatar f tn My son is 10 years old, has been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, ADHD and OCD. He has a lot of other symptoms going on over the past 2 years though that don't quite fit into any of the above conditions it seems.
Avatar f tn t go into all my details, but after 2-3 years of odd symproms and random/chronic muscle pain my neurologist has suggested that I have fibromyalgia. She said I should discuss it with my famil doctor at my next appt, which is in July. Both doctors have run me through countless tests to rule out other neuro and autoimmune diseases including MS. My family doctor really felt like I may be depressed.
Avatar f tn I have tried multiple meds such as antidepressants and Gabapentin... always have had multiple side effects. Things like heart palpitation's, anziety and vision troubles. I can take xanax and Soma with no problems. My question is "could it be the Armour Thyroid that I take that causes the trouble?" I also have a movement disorder labeled as tremors/non-epileptic seizures which also gets worse with antidepressants.

Avatar n tn Can Fibromyalgia affect eye sight? My mother has fibromyalgia and is complaining that her eye sight is blurry and eyes feel strained. Closing her eyes make them feel better. We have had her eyes examined and we are told everything is fine.
Avatar f tn I have snowy vision (quite bad) and if i look at anything white or light colored it fills in with snow vision and becomes grey. If I use my left eye only, then i lose my central vision completely for a few seconds and it switches between grey and black and my peripheral vision looks like black and rainbow sparkles . I have also had a sensation that my left eye is harder to control than my right and needs more effort to move it, I've also had a rubber band snapping sensation in my left eye.

Avatar f tn The title of your question however, is related to distinguishing symptoms of MS and Fibro, but, those symptoms you have mentioned are related moreso to MSers. BE certain to get in with a PRO immunologist, because of what you went through, and what you are experiencing. Unlike fibro, to have MS you have to have visible damage within the CNS. I truly hope you find something to help with the nerve pain.
Avatar f tn Hi and welcome to MedHelp. As far as I can tell, you do have symptoms that look like fibromyalgia. A rhematologist is the kind of dr. that dxes this. They will check for pressure points. There is also a tilt table test that can help decide if it is fibro or chronic fatigue.
Avatar f tn I have been dealing with extremely notable symptoms since 4/09. After much blood work, many hospital visits and an abnormal MRI, my neurologist told me I have Fibromyalgia. He then sent me to a rheumatologist who was COMPLETELY against diagnosing someone with Fibromyalgia. He instantly took me off the nuerontin that I had only been on for one month. I then returned to my neuro advising him that my symptoms continued and some were worse.
