Avatar m tn Hello! I have been diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia, essential tremors, arthritis in the middle of my back and lower back spinal stynosis. I am now feeling like my head is swimming and I get unbalanced VERY easily. I have checked my blood to see if I am low in sugars, but it always comes out in the 90's which are normal levels. However, if I eat something I find things get better. I have tried to eat small meals throughout the day, but I am not getting better.
1560356 tn?1294835100 Many with Fibromyalgia have IBS and/or GERD, as digestive health issues often come with Fibromyalgia. I mentioned the area of the left breast specifically in regard to the sharp pain, because this area can be affected when the GERD is flaring up. As regards to the tight muscles and such, that is a different story. The feeling that no one seems to know what is wrong with you--welcome to the club.

620060 tn?1235515791 Has anyone found any simple diet changes that have helped fibro symptoms? I am having a really bad few days. I need to find something besides more drugs. I feel like a pill popper. I don't want to take this stuff anymore. I know everyone's different, but maybe there are some diet changes that help most. Any suggestions? Thank you!!
Avatar m tn I am 55; for the last few years I experience 2-4 gerd attacks a year. Most attacks are accompanied by an intense headache and all-over muscle aches that commonly last for a week. The 24-hr headaches approach migraine levels with brief spikes when I laydown or stand up. The headache and muscle pain are way more debilitating than the gerd itself. But it always starts with gerd. The gerd isn't classic heartburn either, it's mainly a pressure pain in my chest and back.
Avatar m tn I am going to make a list of my symptoms below. I may forget to list some of my symptoms, because I have experienced a lot of different symptoms.
1364792 tn?1278051187 My doctor thinks that i might have an anxiety problem but i have never been much of an anxious person so i did some research and fibromyalgia seemed to go along with some of my symptoms.. i was just wondering what other people thought.. is it fibromyalgia, anxiety, or something else? I want opinions! Thanks!
Avatar m tn While what you are talking about does sound like Fibromyalgia, you do want to rule out other illnesses. Many auto-immune diseases have overlapping symptoms. Hopefully, your doctor is testing your SED rate, as this can help to determine if is auto-immune issues. One of the things they look for when they check your SED rate is Lupus. The rashes make me think it might be Lupus, too. One thing that can help you with your digestive issues is to investigate food sensitivities.

Avatar n tn I too have low thyroid and since seeing the doctor in Seattle he has been able to say that I am Thyroid Hormone Resistant and that my Fibromyalgia is the cause of all the weird symptoms. I too have gone from doctor to doctor getting all these diagnoses saying that I had Gerd, IBS, Thyroid problems, then it went to my heart and saw a heart specialist and also needed to see a gynecologist and he found a cyst on my left ovary, so then I needed surgery to have a complete hysterectomy.
Avatar m tn I dont know but to clarify, when I started to suffer from GERD symptoms I started having the excessive salivation Not before so I thought there might be a relationship,,, Im on medication and I mentioned it to my doc he says its normal and may happen for numerous reasons ....
Avatar n tn I'd mix in some water with your meals, it sure sounds like a GERD or swallowing issue. You may need what is called a motility test to determine if your swallowing reflex is working. I've had both cardiac and GERD issues that resulted in surgeries and your symptoms sound like GERD, but I'm not a health professional. Ed is right, check it out with a doctor.
Avatar m tn Drs thought I had sarcoidosis byt CT Scan came back OK, just showing scarring in lungs and have to have another CT in 6 months, I have all of the symptoms of Fibromyalgia plus the GERD and severe pain in Chest, ribs and joints. I get alittle releif for maybe 1 to 3 days and the symptoms flare up again. My question is could GERD or Gallbladder problems cause all these different types of pain and aches?
Avatar n tn I am a 22 year old female and after doing a bit of research it sounds as though I have several symptoms that occur under fibromyalgia. I have had throughout my entire life a bizarre amount of muscle problems and pain. In recent times (last 5-6 months) I have had occasions where my body and skin hurts so much that even my shirt is hurting it. This isn't an everyday, or even every week, event but it has happened probably 5 or 6 time.
Avatar f tn t go into all my details, but after 2-3 years of odd symproms and random/chronic muscle pain my neurologist has suggested that I have fibromyalgia. She said I should discuss it with my famil doctor at my next appt, which is in July. Both doctors have run me through countless tests to rule out other neuro and autoimmune diseases including MS. My family doctor really felt like I may be depressed.

166039 tn?1256422867 Last night I was in bed and the pain was so intense and kept moving around. Does mitral valve move around? Could this be stress or fibromyalgia? Could it be possible I have a blocked artery? I also had a bad experience giving birth and they almost lost me. The anethesiologist putting my epidural in took over 30 min to get it in, then after about an hour I stopped breathing. She said they either put it up too high on my spine or they gave me too much. Could I possibly have a spinal cord injury?

Avatar m tn I go to the gym almost every day. I really don`t have a lot of gerd symptoms..just belching sometimes. I been taking medication for about 3 weeks. I also have mild colitis. It`s difficult to talk to my physician because I live in Japan and he doesn`t speak much English.
2132869 tn?1335724300 So if you are on any drug, ask your doctor and stop this drug and see if it helps. It can also be due to fibromyalgia, Vit D or Vit B12 deficiency or peripheral neuropathy of diabetes and hypothyroidism. A pinched nerve can also be the cause. Lyme’s disease is another possibility. MRI of the neck and NCV and EMG studies should be done to rule out radiculopathy.
Avatar f tn A year later with many more problems added to the fibromyalgia, my endocrinologist believes that my excessive gas, fibromyalgia and all of my other problems were caused by insulin resistance. She discovered that I also had inflammation of the thyroid which caused me to have slow digestion, constipation, fatigue and other problems. The insulin resistance causes the excess gas because you are unable to digest carbs properly that is why the digestive enzymes helped with the gas.
