Avatar m tn There are case reports in the medical literature that describe persistent shoulder and upper arm symptoms after vaccinations. If the injection was given too high in the shoulder region, it is possible that the subdeltoid bursa can become injured and inflamed.
Avatar n tn About 12 months ago, I was diagnosed with adhesive capsulites (frozen shoulder) in my right shoulder. After about 6-7 months of therapy and a cortizone shot, the symptoms improved. I am now experiencing similar initial symptoms in my left shoulder. Is that unusual to potentially have this condition in both shoulders? Any advice would be appreciated.

Avatar n tn Thanks for your insight. I do not have high blood pressure though, in fact it's on the low end of the normal range. I get it checked often (only because I'm at the doctor's office often lately). I went to an ENT and he said that the tinnitus was a result of TMJ (jaw). However, he didn't do any tests at all, only asked me a few questions. I know that TMJ can cause tinnitus and I don't doubt that I have some minor TMJ problems, like clicking sounds in the jaw.
Avatar n tn My pointer & middle fingertips on RIGHT hand are numb with pins & needles sensation, sometimes painful, and a bit swollen. I'm being treated for a "frozen shoulder" on my LEFT side with severe impingement. Also have fibromyalgia that always causes "lumps" in my shoulders, neck and thorasic area, & rheumatoid arthritis, etc.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi has anyone had a frozen shoulder and if so what did you do for it and how did it take you to get over it? I had a slight injury to my rotator cuff and/or deltoid muscle area (according to my doctor). I have been injured badly by several PT's so I don't want to go another one. So I am trying to stretch my arm my doing some stretches that my doctor gave me but what is the consensus out there for those of you who have had this. i know it takes a long time to heal.
317787 tn?1473358451 I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Frozen shoulder is a condition that causes restriction of motion in the shoulder joint. It causes pain on all movements of the joint and pain may be felt over the outer part of shoulder and upper arm. For reasons poorly understood, the capsule surrounding the shoulder joint contracts and forms scar tissue.
Avatar f tn have you got your shoulder manipulated yet. My dad had frozen shoulder and had to get put under then they manipulated his arm all the way back and he could actually move his arm after.

Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with frozen shoulder over a year ago. pT was too painful. I tried acupuncture and acupressure. I was in too much pain to handle the acupressure. So quit. I was due surgery last week. I cancelled. Have I made the right decision? I have been referred for pt Again as the pain is much less. Movement restricted though. I need to get better quickly. My husband has ms and 2 kids have autism.

Avatar f tn In rehablitation, i am asking you to do more shoulder stretching physio as well as Some SWD(Short wave diathermy, etc) You should be doing a lot of rehabilitation therapy for the frozen shoulder. and you should get your thyroids checked routinely also.
Avatar f tn I was curious how many MS patients have also had frozen shoulder. I was diagnosed with a double case of frozen shoulder...I have it in both of my shoulders. It is a horribly painful condition but basically the only treatment is physical therapy because it will resolve on its own in 1 to 3 years. There are a few things the orthopede can try but usually they don't resort to surgical procedures unless it isn't beginning to resolve within a year or 2.
Avatar f tn I'm new here and I haven't had a fibromyalgia diagnosis, but I have had muscle twitching all over (mostly in my legs) and that has died down quite a bit, but I've have tired muscles and I have been so tired. I get tender spots that hurt for no reason to the touch. This past Saturday I went dancing and almost didn't make it through the first song, my legs started to hurt so bad. I woke up the next morning and it felt like someone had beat my legs with a baseball bat.
Avatar n tn However, based on the site of the tumor ‘Shoulder girdle neoplasms mimicking frozen shoulder syndrome’ has been documented to be associated. Shoulder pain and immobility inhibiting joint motion which is said to be quite common. This leads to the disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (DASH). Many patients do not undergo detailed imaging studies before treatment. The routine technetium 99 methylene diphosphonate bone scan would be helpful. Take care. All the best.
Avatar m tn Hello, These symptoms can be due to frozen shoulder in which the joint capsule of the shoulder joint has ligaments that hold the shoulder bones to each other. When the capsule becomes inflamed, the shoulder bones are unable to move freely in the joint. Sometimes an MRI exam may show inflammation, but there are no specific signs to diagnose frozen shoulder. Apply warm compresses and take some anti inflammatory pain killers like Ibuprofen/ Diclofenac.
Avatar f tn HI After having subacrominal bursectomy by arthroscope in december 2009 i developed a post-op frozen shoulder. I had no internal or external rotation and could only raise my arm behind my back to my hip pocket on my jeans. In march 2010 i had manipulation under anestetic with arthroscope and the surgeon achieved 160 degrees of movement. I have had physio therapy twice a week and have also been receiving hydrotherapy twice a week.
Avatar f tn physical therapy can also include apart from the above stretching exercises, ultrasound, ice, heat, etc.cortisone injections decrease the inflammation in the frozen shoulder joint if this is severe. Take care.
Avatar n tn t think it was frozen shoulder, frozen shoulder does resolve itself but not that quick could have been a bone spur but frozen shoulder is excruciating pain I have a high tolerance to pain I used to be very athletic, I have broke every bone in my body never needed pain pills too much but the aging process is brutal :)
Avatar n tn Hi there. There are various possibilities for these symptoms of shoulder pain and numbness right arm like nerve root compression due to degenerative disc disease of the cervical spine compressing the nerve roots exiting from the neural foramina. Cervical spondylosis, bony spurs irritating the brachial plexus as it passes through the axilla. Trauma, frozen shoulder also could contribute to the symptoms.
Avatar f tn well try to check yourself have someone do this, press on the front arm, straighten your hands and arms and press in front of your arm.where your elbow is take your finger and cross over in front of it then press. if you feel the pressure flaring up that goes straight up to your shoulder blade then its fibromyalgia. i had the same sign you currently describing. my email is ***@**** if you want to know how i am managing without drugs. send me an email. will be more then happy to share with you.
Avatar n tn Any injury to the shoulder can lead to frozen shoulder, including tendonitis, bursitis, and rotator cuff injury. Frozen shoulders occur more frequently in patients with diabetes, chronic inflammatory arthritis of the shoulder, or after chest or breast surgery or autoimmunity. Long-term immobility of the shoulder joint can put people at risk to develop a frozen shoulder. Although, immobility adds to the problem hence continue mild passive exercises. Please continue diclofen too.
