You have a complicated medical history with stroke-like symptoms, as you described them. You've also had an MRI. What is indicated is an MRA, or magnetic resonance angiography examination, with dye contrast. Provisional diagnosis: Rule out Intracerebral bleed. This evaluation should be performed whether or not you had an MRI last year. Bruising is generally the result of improper blood clotting, or fragility of blood vessels.
) with this condition, I looked at the symptoms and realized that I never had any symptoms from this condition. They say that it normally gets better as you age.... but I never had joint pain when I was a child or even several years after my mono (CFS) diagnosis. So in my case... I don't believe this condition has affected me... at least not that I'm aware of. Have you tried massage therapy ? I often get Tuina massages and highly recommend !
I had difficulty sleeping the night after the bridge went on, and gradually I developed all of the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Luckly I found a dentist in Hastings Michigan Dr Dan Gole . He is a holistic dentist , who examined all of my muscles and balance for one half hour before he looked at my teeth.
to name a few Keep in mind that fibromyalgia, CFS, MS and lymes disease also have similar symptoms. There are soooo many illnesses that can cause fatigue. Anywhere from low B-12 and other vitamin deficiencies to serious illnesses. And a vit. C deficincy can also cause you to bruise easily. Let me know what you think about the list of lupus symptoms. Do you think you fit? If so, I'll list some test your dr. could order, but I'll warn you, they are very expensive.
I have an awesome Dr that said that may be part of it but there is something that causes fibromyalgia. I have so many different symptoms and they change from day to day. I've been in hospital and have had to leave my job because of whatever this is and memory problems. At one time was taking between 30 - 40 pills a day with 8 different drs. I am sure you have forund out that every different symptom has a different dr to see. I have changed the approach to drs.
I am an 18 year old female who has been suffering from a number of symptoms that I would like to sort out. They include fatigue, weakness, migraine headaches, mysterious bruising, bags under the eyes and joint pain coupled with "crunchy" sounding joints. I maintain a very healthy diet and sleep the recommended eight hours, but still tend to get sick often. I am on a low-dose birth control pill.
Gina Honeyman-Lowe and I have argued with substantial documentary evidence,[44][50][51] the disorder underlying most patients’ fibromyalgia is inadequate thyroid hormone tissue regulation. Our data indicate that the fibromyalgia symptoms and signs of approximately 90% of patients are features of hypothyroidism and/or thyroid hormone resistance.
Over a year ago was in a car accident and my muscles and joints hurt so bad most of the time its hard to have a normal day. Its not arthritis or lupus and Dr's are now saying fibromyalgia..I also have extreme burning in my joints and neck is this also a symptom of fibromyalgia?
I am wondering if all of these seemingly unrelated symptoms could all be caused by my Fibromyalgia, or if there is something else going on. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated! My symptoms are: Dizziness Daily headaches Itchiness all over my body at night Restless legs Thinning hair!
I woke up with these very symptoms about two weeks ago.( I already have fibromyalgia and it could be that. I had a ten year period when I could hardly walk and standing was very hard on my feet.) I'm getting around here like a really old lady. It's the intensity that is new and the increased limitation and pain. I have had IBS for 6 months. Lost 17 pounds. Doc put me on elavil. Helped with IBS but is it causing these symptoms? I'm going off it to see if anything changes.Bless you.
mostly right side --shocks of pain that run through my limbs and sometimes cause moments of not being able to use them (anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes) --memory problems, brain fog, forgetfulness --balance issues, clumsiness --my limbs get tired very easily just doing very simple tasks --strange bruising on right calf (bruises look HORRIBLE, but they don't hurt at all) --anxiety attacks --racing heartbeat, irregular heartbeat I hope I got everything...

If leukimia is suspected, initially it will show up on a blood test. Aside from the easy bruising, almost all of your symptoms point to either chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia. Are your glands swollen? Has there been any weight loss? Do you have pain in your upper left side? Any night sweats? If you've had weight loss, pain in your side and night sweats, and haven't had a CBC- Complete Blood Count, I would strongly urge asking your doctor to perform that blood test.
I've been charting it lately and have been questioning Fibromyalgia in the last couple of months. The thing is it is not always constant. It may come and last for a couple of months then go away. When it leaves I try to do things around the house that I couldn't do before and then wammo I can't do nothing but suffer with severe pains and spasms again. My lower back and in between my shoulders blades seem to bother me the most.
The docs called it fibromyalgia. Last year was the worst. On Halloween I had a sudden sharp attack, wasnt able to breathe because of stomach pain. After every test in the book for pancreas, gall bladder, liver etc, I went on trigger point injections and anti spasm drugs. No relief. 6 months of therapy revealed that it was a muscle spasm of the abdominal wall. Well it wont go away. Now its october again and its just gradually getting worse again.
Endometriosis Migraine PMS Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Asthma Weight Gain Arthritis Loss of short-term memory Fibromyalgia Diminished sex drive Skin problems Depression (mood swings) Less scalp hair Dry skin (neck down) Increase in facial/body hair Oily skin (neck up) This phenomenon seems clear to the women who experience it, but it is not widely recognized by their physicians.
This is so new to me. Is is part of Chiari symptoms to come and go? I almost feel back to my old self. Just nauseous and very little dizziness from day to day with all the body aches. I'm petrified to have another migraine though which I get frequently!!!
I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism, but my labs show normal ranges for TSH, T4, T3, etc. Some of the major symptoms are extreme fatigue, weight gain, puffiness or swollen hands and feet, feeling cold, hair loss, constipation, memory lapses, unexplained joint pain and irregular heatbeat. I have also been diagnosed with an enlarged thyroid, but a recent sono came back normal. Is is possible to have hypothyroidism and still have blood test within normal ranges?
Post-Concussion Syndrome After Mild Brain Injury Patients with long-term symptoms were more likely to have radicular symptoms, anxiety, sleep disturbance, blurred vision, "symptoms of cranial nerve or brainstem dysfunction," and signs of osteoarthrosis of the spine. These patients were also more likely to report more pain immediately after the accident. http://www.injuryresources.com/IC_MTBI_A3.
I have recurrent cold symptoms during my period. I have noticed the symptoms for about a year but for the last six months they have happened every month around the third day of my period. Symptoms include aching joints, blocked nose and headaches as well as generally feeling awful. Periods are heavy and painful with clotting for about seven-nine days. Cold Symptoms usually last 5-7days.
Sounds rough going with all those symptoms. Have they ruled out Lupus? A lot of your symptoms are in common with Lupus sufferers. Normally it would be the rheumatologist who would diagnose it.
Previously diagnosed with depression and Fibromyalgia and Celiac Disease symptoms. Another half sister had Celiac symptoms and recently diagnosed Fibromyalgia. She also had Endometriosis. A half brother died in his sleep at age 18 unknown cause. 2 maternal aunts have Lupus and another just had surgery for Afib. Waiting on more history and not sure what's related. I sincerely appreciate your help. I'm putting together a draft to show the doctor and maybe get me back to me. Thank you!!!
I see a lot of fibromyalgia symptoms on your list.
I don't have any of those symptoms at all...no blood sugar, blood pressure, fatigue or bruising problems and no upper body obesity! Scleroderma: no skin issues what so ever. Celiac: I guess it could be possible..I do have a few of those..but it would seem more like irritable bowel to me b/c I seem to bounce back and forth between constipation and diahrea and will have bloating. The joint swelling may fit in there, I guess? Or with the Sjogren's?
And I have started bruising a lot(everyday)..I think this might be a side effects from one of my medicines. I also get this reoccurring pain in my lower abdomen on the left side, it too is a squeezing pain that doesn't last more than 45 seconds but is so bad it causes me to kind of curl up. Does anyone have any suggestions, ideas, or thoughts.
These reactions can come on long after you are treated, and cause long-lasting pain and other symptoms. Very often those hurt think they have MS, or ALS, or fibromyalgia, or a host of other maladies. They spend thousands of dollars getting MRI, blood and other tests done. Doctors just give them more drugs and tell them it's all in their heads. The reality is, they have been poisoned by an antibiotic that wasn't thoroughly tested before being released on the public.

I was only out of work for 2 weeks and during that time was somewhat out and about. Symptoms of a new illness presented in March, starting with a canker sore, and progressing to flu like symptoms. I noticed greenish/brown mucus and tooth pain and went to doctor for an anti-biotic (I think Bactrim). I took the antibiotic which seemed to clear up what I thought was a sinus infection but I still wasn't feeling better and my glands were very swollen (they still are too a degree).
