Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia symptoms and natural relief

fibromyalgia

Avatar f tn Progesterone has a calming effect on the body and is good for pain relief. Some people are even using natural progesterone cream for fibromyalgia treatment. I don't now how far along you are in your pregnancy, but maybe the pain will get better. Also maybe there are some natural treatments to look into that would be safe to use while pregnant. How about a massage? There are natural supplements for pain too, but I do not know if they are safe to use during pregnancy.

Fibromyalgia is a collection of symptoms without a known cause, though there are a lot of theories, and I have mine, but it usually comes with emotional difficulty of one kind or another, usually anxiety and depression. If it's hard to treat, a hack psychiatrist will call it bipolar 2 when his treatments fail, as of course they very well might if the underlying cause is fibromyalgia.

Avatar n tn if the person also has fibromyalgia, I see no reason to believe that reducing symptoms relating to orthostatic intolerance (nausea, dizziness, weakness, vision changes, fatigue, tremulousness) is going to resolve the symptoms of fibromyalgia (stiffness and pain in at least 11 tender point sites).

If so does it get better or do you stay in pain for the majority of the pregnancy, I am having headaches that pretty much do not ever go away and my muscles never relax and I was given the ok to take Vicodin for the headaches occasionally, but I do not want to take Vicodin on a daily basis and I need some type of relief. I was getting some relief in the sauna, but I am obviously unable to do this any longer.
Avatar n tn I have tight muscles all over; in my legs, arms, basically anywhere you touch is all knotted up and tight. Could it be my diet? I am on generic Zoloft (half a pill) and Wellbutrin SR (generic). I don't know if they have a side effect of tight or spastic muscles. I go to the chiropractor 3x's a week and massage therapy once a week for a half hour. I would do more but that's all I have time and money for at the moment. I am looking into actupuncture.

All the hospitals have now discharged me and have left my pain relief up to my GP, who I might add is the best GP I've ever had. I'm now classed as wheelchair bound as walking is too painful. I just wondered if there was anyone else who had fibro this bad and could get in touch with me. My fiance is my full-time carer and my 18 year old son helps when necessary as well.
