Avatar m tn Gabapentin from the neuro did not help the pain, neuro sent us to rheum. who then diagnosed her with fibro. She has severe spinal and back pain (is walking fine now) and has severe fatigue. Her treatment was physical therapy. We go to aqua p/t once a week and have tried actupuncture. In our case it has shown no relief. We have an appt. with a new rheum next week at a large childrens hospital hoping for some further insite or direction.

Avatar f tn t really sound much like fibromyalgia pain - that pain is typically widespread and not just in one area (although certain areas can feel worse at times than other areas). It also usually affects both sides of the body pretty equally. It sounds more like maybe a shoulder injury (have you fallen or stretched your shoulder at all? heavy lifting?) I could also be a pleuritic type pain (inflammation of the area around the lungs).
Avatar f tn well try to check yourself have someone do this, press on the front arm, straighten your hands and arms and press in front of your arm.where your elbow is take your finger and cross over in front of it then press. if you feel the pressure flaring up that goes straight up to your shoulder blade then its fibromyalgia. i had the same sign you currently describing. my email is ***@**** if you want to know how i am managing without drugs. send me an email. will be more then happy to share with you.
766337 tn?1235079359 My doctor told me it sounds like I might have Fibromyalgia, but I do not feel like my symptoms are severe enough to qualify for it. Like I said, my pain comes and goes, and it spreads throughout my body & my joints. At times I cannot think straight, it is hard to concentrate to change a diaper or cook supper. Even a person's touch can send pulsating pain. Which ***** because I have to carry my kids or hug them, you know. Bra straps and seatbelts hurt like hell then too.
Avatar f tn ve always had symptoms of fibromyalgia but never real bad but after I got that Sinus Infection my symptoms of FM became Severe. I also have a family history of Fibromyalgia, my Father, Aunt, and first cousin has it. Avatar n tn My wife has a similar history... Fibromyalgia diagnosis...Severe burning pain, sensory neuropathy in hands, lower legs and face/ mouth. A fibromyalgia diagnosis is about like complaining of head pains and being diagnosed with a headache... doesn't explain the cause or underlying disease. Some experts have suggested Fibromyalgia may be a strange form of CIDP. Have you considered this? You lime titer will be negative. ANA likely negative also.
Avatar f tn I do have fibromyalgia but the pain didn't feel like this until the last couple of months. I seem to be getting weaker, more joint pain and the deep prickly pain. Can't bare to stay in bed in the morning because it hurts to just lay there.

Avatar f tn Magnesium deficiency symptoms are numerous but from your list of symptoms includes wide spread pain (my my doctor thought I had fibromyalgia), ear ringing, migranes, blurry vision, wheezing, dizziness, fluid retention, fatigue (although fatigue and fluid retention are symptom of insulin resistance/pre diabetes as well) to name a few symptoms. Avatar n tn I visit my doctor regularly the last time about 2 months ago. Over the past few days I have developed severe pain in my left hip. The worst of the pain is on the top of my hip and radiates around to my back and to my abdomen area and down the front of my pelvis into the thigh. Tonight the pain is very bad on a scale of 1-10 it is a 9.5.. My leg nearly went out from underneath me a couple times. The bursitis has never been this bad before and I am not sure what is going on.
Avatar m tn Now her hepatitis has become active in the year 2009 the Symptoms of pain through her joints and back have become far more severe, where as she only suffered with it in her hips in the very begining. Does anyone know if Hepatitis C has a reaction towards Fibromyalgia causing it to Flare up? It just seems a coincidence that in the year 2009 her Hepatitis C has become active, and after all these years her Fibromyalgia has become more severe, is the the Hepatitis causing it?

Avatar n tn severe nausea, tachycardia, muscle weakness/pain on the left side of my body, and lightheadedness. Most days I only have one of these symptoms at a time, and there are a couple rare days when I don't have any. At the moment, I am glad to finally have relief from my nausea and be able to eat again, but my arm and leg on my left side feel really weak and painful - like I've done wayy too much exercise in the gym (but only on one side of my body).
