Hello I had my Thyroid removed in march 2009, they found cancer and nodules on it. I just went threw Iodine radiation
and finially on some thyroid replacement. It's been very hard for the last 3months, with my heart, body pain, tired, head aches . I've had Fibromyalgia for 13years that I know of, basicly I am almost crippled.

I suffer from fibromyalgia and neurophy daily. When the pain is severe I can hardly stand it. Are there any new approaches to this condition. I am taking vicoden, cymbalta, pamelor and neurotyn?

Oxycodone @ 10mg injected will produce the SAME results as morphine
for most people. I'm mentioning this to point out that these types of drugs
are opioid drugs, potentially habit forming narcotic drugs.
The fact that they are prescribed legally, does not make them any less
dangerous than street drugs, other than the fact that their "quality" and strength are consistent with what they claim.

the liver filters toxins and if i got the info right, something called Kupffer cells in turn release IL1 IL2 somehow in turn the spinal cord and brain get over excited and we perceive pain.

Please consult an orthopaedist and rheumatologist and discuss this possibility and start the treatment as your symptoms don’t relate to any other disorder but Fibromyalgia . Prostate problems and UTIs are more frequent in patients with Fibromyalgia . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
The most likely bacteria were Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, among others, and the most likely viruses were HHV6, HHV7, CMV, among others. Fibromyalgia syndrome patients were statistically over 16-times more likely to have one or more of these infections than controls. So YES, it is likely that you have one or more chronic infections (most fibromyalgia patients had multiple infections in our studies). This could also explain your chronic bowel problems as well.
NSAID - 33% of patients, antidepressant - 69% of patients, muscle relaxant - 13% of patients, benzodiazepine - 15% of patients, occasional narcotic. analgesic - 37% of patients.

Fibromyaliga is not genetic. However, the majority of fibromyalgia patients are testing positive for pathogens... including mycoplasma infections (L-form bacteria). And the evidence is mounting that Th1 diseases are communicable. If you have a bacterial infection, this can be spread to people that you are close to. I believe this is why researchers/physicians frequently see entire families who are chronically ill.

Second, many patients with fibromyalgia will often find that on a given day they will have less than the diagnostic 11 tender points in their body. Does this mean that some days you have fibromyalgia others you don’t? Obviously this is not the case.
Patient tenderness varies from day to day and, as a result, tender point counts on some days can be below the required 11 while on other days it may surpass it.
I had been misdiagnosed many years prior with Fibromyalgia. I just have a strong feeling that fibromyalgia is in realty Lyme and Bart's.
