Hi everyone, I have Fibromyalgia and my doctor is great, but since the begining of this week have a pain in may hands, first my Left hurts more than the Right and even the top of my Right foot also my hand was swollen and now is going away and my Left start with the same pain, right now is swollen. i have sharp pain in my legs feet hands shoulders and neck that came on about 3 days ago it goes away with motrin, but as soon as the motrin wears off it comes right back what could these symptoms be...

We have started acupuncture which has been quite good so far, his pain has reduced. He is now missing lots of school, originally due to fatigue and chest pain and last week due to nausea. Are the doctors correct in their diagnosis, can anyone suggest a way forward or shed any light on a similar experience?

I am 30yrs old and i am taking Cymbalta for my Fibromyalgia pain but i have to stop it do to my insurance. It works REALLY well for my pain. I wanted to know if anyone is taking Lyrica for their pain and if it works.

m also sorry to hear about your pain. I also have fibro (as well as other chronic pain issues) and I do also get pain in my hands and fingers, however, I do also have arthritis in my hands, so I'm not 100% sure how much of the pain is fibro pain and how much is arthritic pain. It IS typical for fibro pain to be worse in the mornings, so that part of your pain description is not surprising to me for fibro.

I have many issues and asked rheumatologist if I could have fibromyalgia, she said I don't fit criteria what do you think? The pain in hands and arms could be due to fibromyalgia or some other cause. Any sprain, degenerative arthritis of the spine, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome and bursitis can lead to arm pain. It will be best to discuss it with your doctor about the above mentioned possibilities. You may need a clinical examination and tests to rule out the possible cause. ve read that fibromyalgia is known for the burning feeling especially of feet and hands. I imagine this is nerve pain so there is also something called erythmelagia. This is often in the feet though but can also show in hands but usually they are red too. It involves the sensory nerves. Here's some information on fibromyalgia to read over in the mean time and let me know what you think.

Also, from everything I read about fibromyalgia, the pain is intense, more like a nerve pain, and someone will hurt even if they are touched. My pain is more like a muscle pain and stiffness. Are there different degrees of fibromyalgia? Does fibromyalgia cause the feeling of swollen hands? I am very confused with my diagnosis, and don't want to take the Cymbalta just yet, until I at least start PT to see if that makes me feel any better. I appreciate any help I can get! Thank you.

Simply Ludicrous!!! Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but this is insane to my opinion. I mean no disrespect to all of you that can relate to this "symptom" presented in the study, as it is absolutely real, but it is important to distinguish between an abnormality and an actual cause. At first she said I had RA, which would explain my joint pain and low white blood cell count, but now she says I have Fibromyalgia because the tests for RA came back negative and my hands don't look like RA hands. I tried to tell her from the research I've done I can have sero-negative RA which would mean that I would be less likely to have the nodules she is looking for but doctor's know best apparently.

Thank you for answering. I am 55 years old. No history of diabetes or hypertension. I have had numerous blood tests, and MRI to rule out MS, lupus, diabetes. Everything came back O.K., except Rheumatoid Arthritis showed up low to moderate level.

I went thru 48 months of treatment developed fibromyalgia and worsened joint and bone pain. I have lost a lot of dexterity in my hands and fingers don't have a lot of feeling at the tips, but that's from the treatment. 7 weeks of torture. My hands sometimes cramp when holding my phone to my ear or just from holding a drink in my hand. I get pain in my arms and hands just from driving. The other day I was just at my computer typing for about 30 minutes and my arm cramped up so bad I was crying from the pain...I don't know maybe I am just a wus, lol.

I have chronic pain. I have had my gall bladder removed, part of my small bowel removed (due to endometriosis), mesh put in my abdomen from a hernia and a hysterectomy. Following then onwards, I have experince pain trobbing at the back, in between the joint of knees, in between the hip joint, upper and lower both of the legs, at the joints of the arms, in between fingers, at the palm of hands and feet. Am i suffering from fibromyalgia? Do i need to do a full body check-up for diagnosis?
