fibromyalgia

Avatar m tn Hi everyone, this is my first post so it might be kind of long but any help would really be appreciated. I am 22 years old and I am in pain every day. My back and neck are the main culprits. Also I have severe headaches or migraines somewhat often. My brother has a toddler and I can't even crawl after him because my knees hurt. My knees only really seem to hurt though when I am on them .
Avatar f tn IC stands for Interstitial Cystitis (painful bladder disease). My doctor said that they all could be related, and because I have all of them plus IBS, that they can all flare at the same time and make all of them worse at one time. So I've been in constant pain lately. Going to have a robotic laproscopy some time in Feb to remove the scar tissue/adhesions, seperate the ovary, fallopian tube and bowels from eachother and hopefully save the ovary and tube. Has anyone ever had this done?
1033336 tn?1252506131 The characteristic feature of Fibromyalgia is a muscle pain mostly in neck, back, thighs, and hips. There is presence of specific tender points in these areas that trigger the pain. Along with this there is morning stiffness in the muscles, brain fog, dizziness and other neurological symptoms. Since you are suffering from pain specifically located at the joints, and it started after the flu, the pains are related to the viral infection.
Avatar n tn A flare is usually accompanied by constant pain and lethargy. You might find difficulty to sit, stand or lie for even some time. the triggers known are strong emotions like depression and anger or stress, too much exercise, beginning of an illness, cold, damp weather or extreme heat, any stress on body. That noisy neighbor could affect your health indirectly by causing anger or stress in you. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar n tn My fibromyalgia causes me scalp pain on and off. Not a constant pain.
Avatar m tn I have been on Lyrica and Cymbalta for the fibromyalgia and that has helped my pain level somewhat. I also take Zanaflex (a muscle relaxer) to help with sleep, pain and the back tension. When was your last MRI? I would try to have a recent one to rule out future degeneration. I am in constant pain but when I experience a flare up of my fibromyalgia; it intensifies the pain ten fold. I wish you luck and in the absence of medication I would try to take ibuprofen. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your input. I was unaware it would progress and be so intrusive. The pain is pretty much constant so I need to get this resolved soon. Thank you again. S.
Avatar f tn I personally think the most Prominent Symptom of Fibro is the Pain. A constant Deep, Throbbing, Burning Pain in Various Parts of the Body: Especially the Neck & Shoulder Area and down the arms, I hurt down the middle of my back and into my hips, and the front of my thighs! Getting a Good Nights Sleep is Rare and you Wake Up Very Stiff & Sore! You have a hard time sitting still or getting comfortable! I do get headaches with Fibro, although some do not.
Avatar f tn Hello, i am hoping that I can finally get some help with this, I am in almost constant pain in both shoulders, both hips and both knees. Sometimes the pain moves for a couple of days and goes into my neck. Generelly I don't go more than a day, if I am lucky, without getting pain somewhere. Sometimes I am not even moving and it's like I am being repeatedly stabbed in the joints.
Avatar f tn What does fibromyalgia feel like? I am having weird pains in my skin and bones and I'm trying to find out if that is what's happening to me. It is random grapefruit sized sections of skin that ache so bad and are very sensitive to touch and temperature. Sometimes it is a shooting pain through my bone combined with the skin sensitivity, but usually it is just a constant dull ache. Sometimes it is in my hand, like it is right now. Sometimes it is in my leg or my ribs or anywhere.

Avatar n tn However, there are a couple symptoms that don’t seem to match with fibromyalgia/CFS. These are, my muscle pain/stiffness is always worse on the left, and with fibro, the pain is supposed to be symmetric on both sides. I also see visible snow anytime I look up, hundreds of them. I have also noticed when I move my eyes the back of my left eye hurts a great deal. And I am always thirsty. I drink water ALL THE TIME. Have been tested for diabetes and don't have it.
Avatar f tn I get sharp pains in my knees shoulder blades, elbow, ankles but it’s not constant some days I have no pain at all. Does anyone else do this? I have a dr appt on Monday and I’m gonna see if they still think that’s what it is.
Avatar f tn Hi I have the same pain and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I also think I have myofascial pain as I have read that they can go hand in hand. It would be worth looking up fibromyalgia to see if it matches what you feel. They are not life threatening but very painful and life changing for some. Pain killers don't work for me and I have taken so many in the past that I am sensitive to some. If its fibro rest and relaxation can help.
Avatar f tn I have fibromyalgia and my whole back is screwed up so in in constant pain all the time.... But, with the fibro I am so sensitive to the touch and I have no energy to do anything because my muscles are exhausted from all the pain. I can't even go up a flight of stairs d ue to my legs have no strength like I just did 5k run and my legs can't carry me any longer. The pain is so strong.....
Avatar f tn So I have been dealing with constant issues for almost a year now. From chest pain and rib pain to dizziness and tremors. At the begining of the year I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. And a few months ago hyperthyroidism. Some symptoms resolved and new ones show up. Now I have this pain in my armpit and it feels like it's swollen. I do not feel any swollen lymph nodes. I get pain into my ribs and a soreness that wraps around to my ribs in my back. I'm so sick of going to the dr.
Avatar f tn I have been suffering from constant pain throughout my body for almost 2 years now. It has gotten alot worse in the last 6 months. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia at the time it firt started but since it has gotten worse my neck and back just about kill me all the time and pains shoot all over my body night and day. I keep a dull aching headache that nothing I take stops it and it is not migraines because I have had these really bad a few years back.
Avatar m tn more from the degerative arthritis and herniated discs. Fibro for me is more an allover achiness, constant tiredness, PAIN, and feeling as if I constantly have a severe case of flu or mononucliosis. Pain in fibro is amplified as nerves are extra sensitive. I also get alot of viruses very easily.
710094 tn?1229308706 Less blood could be flowing to your brain and/or it is overwhelmed by pain signals . Take omega 3 fish and flax oils and gingko biloba along with good b vitamins / multivitamins . Brain fog is common in chronic pain conditions . Also try to avoid wheat completely for few days and see it helps (wheat gluten allergy) , Take lots of rest , I am taking cymbalta and it has helped me with pain and brain function . Never loose hope , we are in this together , you will feel better soon .
Avatar n tn t think it is RLS, but the constant pain in my legs is awful. I am only 28 years old. Massage seems to relieve the muscle pain.
