what is fibromyalgia? i am curious. My mother n law suffers from it and i am just curious what it is.
My right knee, both hips and my arm joints are completely stiff. I have a cracking popping nose in my joints. My concern is that now I am noticing that my feet and ankles are swollen. I do my best to elevate them, but I do sit at a desk for most of the day. I also live in a hot and humid climate. I've been quite slim for years and I am suddenly feeling extremely bloated, and swollen like I am retaining water all over. I take a beta blocker for irregular heart beat.
Many patients with fibromyalgia feel that their joints are swollen, although there is no visible inflammation of the joints (arthritis).

I was first diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I was told I needed to see a Rhumetologist and let him diagnose me. The rhumetologist told me I have hepatitus. Can a person with hep have pain in the winter and numbness in fingers?
For 30 years I have had severe pain in the neck, ribs, low back, SI joints, wrist, fingers and toes. I have had plaque psoriasis, and gutate psoriasis. My index fingers are starting to turn inward along with the toes on my feet in the same digit location as my hands. I gave up on Dr.s years ago as they didn't manage the pain well.
I have suffered from fibromyalgia for years. I have been taking vitiman B6/B-12 shots, and they help me with the pain of the disease. I"ve been trying to find out where to buy the B-6, I already have the B-12. Can anyone let me know if there is somewhere to buy B-6. Also, Rodex Forte is good for the off days, so I need to buy that also.

There has been no direct link found between rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Both are relatively common so a person can have both conditions. There have been increased incidences of fibromyalgia among people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. Having rheumatoid arthritis can be considered as a risk factor for fibromyalgia. A lack of vitamin D is associated with higher risk of rheumatoid arthritis.
I have constant pain in my back between the top of my hip bone and the bottome of my ribs either side of my spine. I also have constantly aching joints, including my finger joints, i have some numbness at the front from my hip bone about a third of the way down my thigh, my tummy is tender and i regularly feel nauseous. I am exhausted all the time and yet struggle to sleep at night.
Hyperflexibility of joints may be the first sign of chronic fatigue syndrome which also could be the cause of sudden painful jolts (like bulgingnveins with pain). Fibromyalgia too needs to be looked into. Hyperflexible joints are also seen in collagen tissue disorders such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or Marfan syndrome

My knees joints are very painful. My doctors has referred me to a rheumotolgist and suspects this could be my diagnosis. One thing that boggles his mind is that my leg pain is not present on a good day until I am lying down for more than 30 minutes then horrible aching begins. My sed rate is also high but RA and Lupus test came back negative. Doew this sound like arthritus or fibromyalgia?
