fibromyalgia

Avatar n tn Hoping someone knows a little about this and maybe shed some light. I am a medic in the military and EMT and I have never heard unequal pupils being normal. But again, there are no other symptoms that I have noticed and I am not a doctor of pediatrics.
Avatar f tn My understanding is that rates that high for any length of time can damage the heart. I know children have higher heart rates than adults but 200 is just too much in my opinion. I would either push to see another cardio in another town if necessary or ask to be plugged in to the local cardio as soon as he has a cancellation. Does this cardio specialize in pediatrics? Children's heart problems are not just small adult problems. They are different.

Avatar n tn The Unversity of Missouri in Columbia is excellent, in Saint Louis Washington University and St. Louis University are excellent. I'm very opinionated but in Kansas City in my opinion my group Discover Vision Centers is excellent two of our MDs edit medical journals and several lecture world wide, others have written medical textbook chapters.

Avatar f tn I had a knee injury last year and now I have arthritis in my right knee. I went through therapy a year ago, but my right quadricep does not look like my left quadricep. My question is: How do I build the muscles back up in my quadriceps (as a matter of fact, my entire thigh area)?
Avatar f tn I was just doing my 5 year old boys laundry, and noticed two of his underwear have white spots in the area of the penis. One of them was quite large and the other was smaller, they are not circles, but like smears. This may sound gross, I smelled them to see what it was, but because he is 5 and still having accidents, all I could smell was urine. Does anyone else have any suggestions as to what this might be? I know its not diaper cream.
Avatar f tn lol Just a few weeks ago when I took my son to the doctor, his doc.( Dana Ankney, Forest Park Pediatrics) told me that it was okay to feed him eggs and he was barely six months. As long as the eggs are cooked and you're feeding him so he doesn't choke, he's fine.
Avatar n tn In pediatrics which conditions levofloxacin with ornidazole combination will be used?
Avatar m tn My 7 year old son has complained of nipple pain (only one nipple) in the past few days. Seems to be getting worse. On visual, there is no discoloration and the nipple only looks slightly larger than norm. The nipple is extremely sensitive to touch (slight pressure) and feels like a small lump underneath. We plan to take him into the clinic tomorrow.
Avatar f tn For the last three years following one of my 3 foot surgeries I have had pain in my left hip. Over the past year My Doctor has treated me for Bursitis with cortisone injections and spinal block but to no avail. The pain is now in my entire left leg, left shoulder and arm along with headaches on the left side of my head and neck. My profession is equestrian/trainer and it has become increasingly more difficult to work with the horses. When I ride if I ride for over two hours I am in tears!
Avatar f tn Thanks for answering - before being diagnosed, she was having "gas" attacks - but not passing gas - but not at all like I remember from feeding my daughter and son formula over 30 years ago. These would awaken her from sleeping - I finally got her to nap by putting her across my lap and rubbing and patting her back.
Avatar m tn s to help combat the virus you were about to get. What was the reason for you going to the doctor in the first place?
1536712 tn?1294043301 I have also heard that this is common in fibromyalgia - but fibromyalgiasymptoms generally fits my condition very well! So I'm not sure - either I have that as well, or VDD mimics fibro very much. I'll talk to my doctor about this next time I see her.
Avatar f tn Hello! My left leg is hurting from the knee to the hip. The bend of the leg or pelvic area hurts to walk. I have fibromyalgia. This pain just started about a week ago. I can't sleep on either side. I have to sleep on my back. If I sleep on my back to long it starts to hurt. I was told I have three fibroid tumors. Can they be the pain I am having or can it be something else. The pain is severe!!!!!!! What can I do?
773755 tn?1328119777 It is much more common in women, and it can be debilitating. Many conventional medical doctors do not think that fibromyalgia exists. In fact, many patients who believe they have this condition are often derided by their doctors. One reason many conventional doctors do not think fibromyalgia is a “real” condition is that no specific medication is effective for treating this illness. Some medications do help lower the symptoms of fibromyalgia.
