fibromyalgia

Avatar n tn Findings: Punctate hyperintensity on diffusion-weighted images in inferior midline cerebellar vermis with apparent restricted diffusion on ADC map.
Avatar f tn I thought most saw two images when looking that far. Well, he told me I could go see a neuro -ophth. and maybe even consider surgery for my weak eye muscles. But, I decided to wait. I was also told about the possibility of having MS. So, over the months a new problem developed and I started seeing splotches on my computer screen when I'd look at a white background. Also when I'd wake up I'd sometimes see distorted colors on images.
Avatar f tn I am a 33-yr-old with chronic pain and chronic fatigue. MRI scan today was to follow up on possible seizure activity viewed on EEG during sleep study (polysomnography). I have not spoken to my doctor, but my father (a radiologist) insists that all of the images look "normal". I am not feeling so confident. Can anyone please give me some feedback on this image, PROP T2 TRF?
Avatar f tn t think I have MS because I am 50 and that it could be Fibromyalgia. My MRI results are below, which I have been told are normal and to take Gabapentin. I also have Trigeminal Neuralgia. I am always super tired and the pain in my neck, shoulder and arm just seem to be getting worse. Can anybody relate to my symptoms or have any recommendations?
Avatar f tn I am a 40 yr old female with PMH of fibromyalgia. I have had a lot of strange neuro symptoms the last few months: numbness, tingling, memory loss, migraines, blurred vision, severe depression, personality changes, etc... Was referred to a neurologist. Neuro exam quoted as "normal". Labs and MRI brain and c-spine orderd. Phone call from nurse two weeks later: Vit D was very low at 8.2. Was started on 50,000u 3x week for that.
1415565 tn?1282052899 The doctor I had at that time just blew me off. Since then, I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and trigeminal neuralgia, along with a host of psychiatric labels such as somatoform, anxiety, depression, etc. I am having a lot of symptoms lately and cannot even stand going to work right now. I just remembered this mri report from 2005 and am wondering if I should ask my doctor to pursue the possibility of MS just to be sure.
Avatar f tn In the mean time, I consulted an Orthopedic who gave me 10 injections of Vitamin B and told me that I am suffering from “FIBROMYALGIA”. I took 20 sessions of physiotherapy which included IFT and US therapy. He asked me not to take too much stress, sleep properly and so on. There after I tried to follow what ever he said but pain was still there and was getting worst day by day.
Avatar f tn Thank you for answering. I am 55 years old. No history of diabetes or hypertension. I have had numerous blood tests, and MRI to rule out MS, lupus, diabetes. Everything came back O.K., except Rheumatoid Arthritis showed up low to moderate level.
Avatar f tn t dismiss the possibility of MS with a fibromyalgia diagnosis. White matter lesions are not caused by fibromyalgia and MS has a completely different treatment. I have a fibromyalgia diagnosis, too (prior to my MS diagnosis); however my neuro thinks it's completely bogus.
Avatar f tn t go into all my details, but after 2-3 years of odd symproms and random/chronic muscle pain my neurologist has suggested that I have fibromyalgia. She said I should discuss it with my famil doctor at my next appt, which is in July. Both doctors have run me through countless tests to rule out other neuro and autoimmune diseases including MS. My family doctor really felt like I may be depressed.
Avatar f tn If you are called back for a diagnostic mammogram, after a screening mammogram, the tech will take additional images. These images guide the radiologist. For example they would know to look at 12 o'clock 3mm from the nipple. So ultrasound is a supplemental diagnostic tool for mammography, but does not replace a mammogram. If you have had a painful mammography experience, you need to let your tech know. They can move slowly with compression and most people do well.
1466643 tn?1286339546 There are several small foci of T1-weighted decreased signal intensity within the subcutaneous tissues of the upper neck and suboccipital region varying in size from 3 x 3 mm up to 9 x 7 mm. These are seen as decreased signal intensity on both the T1 and T2-weighted images. These do not have the appearance of a lipoma or cyst. These may represent connective tissue tumor including neurofibromas. It is difficult to determine with certainty if there is enhancement of these lesions.
892215 tn?1389718706 That, as well as Fibromyalgia. Discuss this with your doctor; he might run blood tests, if he hasn’t done so already to rule them out. Now, you still might be crazy, but that’s going to be *another* doctor, LOL!
Avatar f tn Am MRI provides detailed images and is technically more accurate than the ultrasound. The fluid in the shoulder is likely to be dues to inflammation which could occur due to any primary cause such as bursitis, arthritis, tendonitis etc. It would be best to discuss the results and the possibilities in detail with your doctor. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
11119474 tn?1428702170 Hi everyone. I just picked up the MRI Images from my brain and cervical spine studies, in preparation of the MS Specialist appointment coming up in 3 weeks. I posted a few on my profile if anyone would like to take a peek, and tell me if they look typical of MS lesions. The radiologist says yes, but the general neuro won't call it. Thanks!
Avatar n tn I have a peculiar problem of being able to see after images for a little more time than normal.Due to which my eyes are not able to accommodate moving objects. Hence, I can see a series of bats when a cricket shot is played by a cricket batsman. Similarly If i move my hand or anything in my hand I can see the moving hand/object even after the hand/object has reached the new place and that moving hand/object merges with the hand/object at the new place in a second or two.
Avatar f tn Hi doctor I am 21 and am 3 months post partum , ever since I had my daughter I noticed ghost images in my right eye only . It's usually when I am sitting far away from my tv but when I get up close it is gone ! Do you know what could be causing this !? I am nearsighted and have been since I was younger but never really wore my glasses !
464075 tn?1281615436 Hey ladies! For anyone who wants to see, I posted pics of the 3D images of my little man that were taken this past week! It is so amazing to me how far technology has come. Although he would NOT cooperate, we were able to get a few good shots of his face. He so cute!(I know, I'm the momma) He kept putting his hands in his face and the umbilical cord was just everywhere. It was an amazing experience for dh and me though. I thought after seeing him we would come up with a name but....NOTHING.

1322693 tn?1308153896 I also have not had a CINE MRI but would like to know if possible blocked or comprimised cfs flow cam be seen on the regular MRI images. My cerebellum seems to be pressed against the back of my skull. Not sure if all the pain and pressure in my head and neck are caused by bad flow or none at all in some areas. I feel like banging my head against the wall on most days. My head is going to explode! At least that what it feels like. I feel like this is slowly killing me.
1475492 tn?1332884167 I had my Rheumatology appointment today. We went through the test, he asked a lot of questions. I do not have Arthritis (except a coule minor injuries which is normal) Lupus, Sjorgren's syndrome or the biggy that the Neuro put on the table.... Fibromyalgia! I don't have any tenderness in any pressure points. No tenderness anywhere except my shoulder. He said, "Your symptoms are Neurological and sound like MS but without lesions on the MRI ..." (I nodded my head.
Avatar m tn I'm posting this question about what I'm going through now. I'm currently a member of the US Air Force with 19 years in and awaiting retirement. In a matter of fact, what I'm going through is the main reason why I'm seeking retirement due to the many changes the Air Force is making regarding their physical fitness program. I had been diagnoised with White Matter Condition of the Brain since 2003.
Avatar m tn Has anyone had this, but it was something else? My T-spine is negative, but a neurologist never saw the images...only the radiologist. The MRI was on a 1.5 T MRI unit. I do have 2 small lesions deep with in the right frontal lobe of the brain. I'm just really curious about the squeezing rubber band sensation around the abdomen and ribs and if anyone had this but it was something else?
Avatar m tn I am a 36 year old female that was diagnosed by my rheumatologist a year ago with Fibromyalgia. I have been noticing my symptoms were getting worse with increase leg pain, numbness and weakness, arm numbness and vertigo as well as insomnia. I do have a family history of MS and ALS with my biological father. I recently had a MRI without contrast which states: No definite acute incarct or acute intracranial hemorrhage.
