A month clean...that's great! I saw the title of this "Holistic Treatment" and had to see what it was about...I'm always looking for new treatments myself as I'm big on the holistic stuff.
I'm taking a Turmeric based supplement myself (Bio-Curcumin Phytosome) for my arthritis. I don't have RA but I do have PA (Psoriatic Arthritis) which is another autoimmune disorder. Hopefully mine isn't permanent as it was triggered by the interferon injections I also take.
by now there are many books on fibromyalgia. Then I would try to find a holistic nutritionist and a naturopath who can help guide you, since the community of alternative practitioners has been scattered due to the monopoly power of Whole Foods and the growth of the industry. Then pick something and try it; if it doesn't help, try something else. Use what you like from allopathy, use what you like from alternative medicine.
i have fibromyalgia amongst other complaints.fro about 2 years i have had a swollen abdomen-lumpy and tender which progressed to sore and protruding ribs.have had ct and mri scans which gave no clues.doctors seem to ignore symptons,now i have a feeling of tightness around my ribs and am sore all around them.it feels like ribs are digging in me.

What types of doctors have you seen to diagnose your Fibromyalgia? Have you seen a Rheumatologist? Or did your PCP doctor diagnose your Fibro? Rheumatologist are actually the doctors who created the criteria for diagnosing Fibromyalgia and without seeing a Rheumatologist, your diagnosis may be weak if you ever were to require a medical leave or disability assistance.
ve been having muscle pain, numbness, spasms, weakness, headaches, fatigue and several other problems including dizziness since 2007. After much testing I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia late in the year of 2009. These symptoms seem to get worse with each passing year, I've been cut to less than part-time at work due to frequent call offs and none of the medications ever work which is causing depression. I'm quite afraid and have always felt like this could be MS.
You need to see a rheumatologist to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. Have you had your ANA tested? It could be something auto-immune or fibromyalgia. Hope you can get some answers soon.

My 9 year old black lab may have another UTI. I have no funds to take her in to get checked but i whole-heartedly believe in holistic healing. Anyone know of something natural for uti's? Her main symptom is accidents where she's been. She's an inside dog and thus its easy to keep track of where she's been, I just have to follow the puddloes.
He is really leaning towards Fibromyalgia. He tested a lot of points and they were all positive. He thinks everything I stated, leads to Fibromyalgia. I told him I don't want that diagnosis because it is a "catch all" diagnosis. He is referring me to another doctor who is new in my area. I have been in the medical field for 20 years and I have never heard of this doctor. I believe he is a "holistic" doctor who will look at the metals, foods, environment, etc.....
I had only once tested my hbsag quantity since my diagnosis two years ago. The test was done a few weeks ago and came out about 17000iu/ml. In other words quite high, that should warrant treatment immediately, in my opinion, though my dumb doctors won't put me on treatment yet. But I'm going to fight them and insist that I need antiviral treatment.
Is there ANY help yet for Fibromyalgia patients? That is 'besides' those horrid drugs like Cymbalta & Lyrica that give us wretched side effects.
So I saw my Dr today and he diagnosed me with fibromyalgia and Im just not sold on the diagnosis. He says the lack of sleep from the fibromyalgia is causing the difficulty breathing. Has anyone else of heard of this because I cant seem to find anything showing where these 2 are related.
