1962464 tn?1344606673 I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I also have bipolar disorder, dissociative identity disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, severe anxiety, and arthritis. I am taking so many meds it's ridiculous: Seroquel, cyclobenziprine, Celebrex, Lamotrigine, Prozac, Diclofenic, Simvastatin, and Levothyroxin. My doctor does a complete blood work up every three months and doesn't seem concerned about the combination of meds that I am taking.

Avatar f tn I was recently told by someone that works with fibromyalgia patients that a gluten free diet could lessen my symptoms. Just trying to figure out what has or not has gluten has been confusing and a bit discouraging. But I am willing to try it if it works. Has anyone tried it? What were your results?
Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed w/ Fibromyalgia but I think it was incorrect because I have a highly elevated SED RATE and moderately elevated CK level. This has happened aapprox. 3 years ago when CK level was extremely high (<700) and normal SED RATE. The first time it cleared up by itself in about 4 months, this time I've been going through it since February. Each time I am very weak, tired and have painful knee ankle, foot, e wrist, fingers, elbows. ANA and RA is normal.

Avatar f tn Hello everybody , im fighting fibromyalgia, im not completly cured ,but I fell MUCH MUCH better, and the best part im not taking any kind of medicines.
Avatar f tn I never had pains as strong as yours but I think the real cause to Fibromyalgia is depression and bad diet. (the only 2 pilsl doctros can prescribe are antidepressants and they dont really work because you cant fix depression just with antidepressants) Do you know that women are 9 times more likely to be diagnosed with Fibromyalgia? Try exercising regularly and have a vegetable based diet. Paranoia, anxiety all exacerbate the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Try doing breathing exercises.
1349329 tn?1276985202 Some folks have luck with a B-vit complex, Omega-3, and Evening Primrose as support for energy and Fibro. Hopefully you are getting regular check ups for the Thyroid & Vit D deficiency. As TrudieC mentioned, one of several anti-depressants may prove to lift some of the fatique. Cymbalta and Savella are advertised to help. I've had success with an older one: Wellbutron. Swimming is the least stressful exercise on bad joints. Try a heated spa if available and massage therapy.

Avatar m tn I have been told for 3 years I have Fibromyalgia along with osteoarthritis in many areas; osteoporosis (I have lost 2 and l/2 inches in 3 years; fracture mode; every medicine I had been put on has been problems and I have been taken off all for Fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and arthritis. Now, my right eye is getting fuzzy, not every day, but more days all the time. My doctor has said although I need back surgery, be careful doing that because it will possibly make your fibromyalgia worse.

Avatar f tn Hi, I am wondering if fibromyalgia can be missed for years before being diagnosed? When I was a kid up until now I have always had muscle pain. Charlie horses, cramps, tingling in my feet & swelling. No doctor ever said anything to my parents or me. Now I'm 34 haven't been able to work for the last 4 wks due to muscle pain, cramps so bad I'm unable to walk, confusion so bad it interfered with my work, my immune system is basically null & void.
