Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia diet homeopathic

fibromyalgia

Avatar n tn Anyone who is diagnosed with fibromyalgia / cfs should have lyme ruled out. I was diagnosed with fibro in march 2008 but it really turned out to be Lyme. As much as 80% of people diagnosed with lyme are first diagnosed with CFS or fibromyalgia. And be aware: the Lyme ELISA test is only 45 - 55% accurate. Make sure it is a Lyme western blot test.
Avatar m tn ve found a compound called Serenity by Gaia to be good, also ignatia amara and gelsemnium homeopathic remedies. Taurine is also helpful, as it makes GABA in combination with B6. But the whole package would include 5-HTP and some other stuff. A good book to read on this is Natural Highs by Hyla Cass, a psychiatrist at UCLA. And it goes without saying, therapy, a good diet, exercise, and meditation round it out. And remember, no guarantees, especially with severe anxiety.

Avatar f tn I suffer with fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, regenerative disc disease and a couple of other annoying maladies. Recently I have been experiencing more severe pain which is accompanied by hives. Is this something I need to bring up to my doctors or is it just coincidental?? What could be causing the hives. They itch and the area that hurts gets warm. I'm wondering if one has anything to do with the other?
Avatar f tn Some of you know I've had a very bad flare-up of fibromyalgia after a very long reprieve of it. Despite all the medication I'm on for pain for the RSD, arthritis, etc., it just isn't touching the fibro stuff. My legs ache and are so heavy. I had a bit of reprieve yesterday and thought I was over the worst of it, but I had another sleepless night and woke up feeling awful again. There were days last week that I was going up and down the stairs on my bum and hands and knees.
630344 tn?1280104983 I highly recommend this book to everyone here. I can tell you that the homeopathic remedy for fibromyalgia that Dr. Teitelbaum has found to be helpful for pain is called "rhus toxicodendron". It is very inexpensive (probably around $6 for about 30 pellets).
Avatar n tn I dislike the word diet. “Diet” implies a rigorous, self-sacrificial discipline that’s doomed to fail. Instead, proper nutrition means to focus on achieving food goals of what you should eat each day rather than what you shouldn’t eat.

Avatar f tn I was recently told by someone that works with fibromyalgia patients that a gluten free diet could lessen my symptoms. Just trying to figure out what has or not has gluten has been confusing and a bit discouraging. But I am willing to try it if it works. Has anyone tried it? What were your results?
Avatar f tn My non professional opinion HCG diet probably not a good idea and could be dangerous.. With hepatitis C you need to be under the care of a hepatoligist or an gastroenterologist experienced in HCV, hepatology and Cirrhosis. Patients with decompensated cirrhosis (moderate or severe hepatic impairment; CTP class B or C) should be referred to a medical practitioner with expertise in that condition (ideally in a liver transplant center).

Avatar n tn Hence it could be Trigeminal neuralgia, abscess in tooth, exposed root canal, internal ear infection, maxillary sinusitis, TMJ, herpes (recurrent) without rash or fibromyalgia localized to face. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
Avatar f tn s claw, proteolytic enzymes, sea mussel, arnica montana (homeopathic), rhus tox (homeopathic), and many others are also considered effective. Exercise is important as well, but only that which doesn't cause more pain. Some people are adversely by nightshades -- potatoes, peppers, eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes and others -- to the extent that some have their arthritis disappear if they cut these out.
Avatar n tn Being bed ridden, you can help control his diabetes with a proper diet. As far as supplements and/or homeopathic medicine curing diabetes, there are none. NO medical papers and NO clinical test trials proving supplements can eliminate diabetes. I do find that cinnamon helps me regulate not only my glucose but also my blood pressure. Medicine first said 1/4 tsp daily now its 1/2 tsp. So the jury is still out on that one.
