Avatar f tn I was recently told by someone that works with fibromyalgia patients that a gluten free diet could lessen my symptoms. Just trying to figure out what has or not has gluten has been confusing and a bit discouraging. But I am willing to try it if it works. Has anyone tried it? What were your results?
Avatar n tn I'm a type II diabetic diagnosed this year with food allergies: corn, peanuts, soybeans, eggs and lettuce and various things in those families. That puts a great many "health" and low fat foods off my list and diabetic staples like eggs are a fond memory. I can't find any information out there to help me balance these evils (diabetes and allergies) against each other.
Avatar n tn What causes attacks of SULPHUR BURPS followed by vomiting and diarrhea lasting for hours? I have had this problem for years, but lately it has become chronic. I'm on a low residual diet (no raw fruits or veggies-only cooked or canned). It helps a little. I have to sleep propped up in almost a sitting position which is miserable. My G.I. doc doesn't know what is causing it. He ran an endoscopy, an enteroscopy, and an ultrasound and found nothing.
6403373 tn?1381003248 The biggest thing is not to "eat foods" to help you loose weight, but to cut out such simple things as pop, chips, coffee with tons of cream and sugar. Another way to eat better is to remember this, when you go shopping shop on the OUTSIDE of the grocery store. Almost everything that is processed is in the middle.
Avatar f tn How do food allergies affect MS symptoms? I'm trying to figure out if my diet is a factor or not. Thank you for your assistance!

Avatar n tn Believe me - as a Type 1 I had the same questions about a Diabetic Diet and for the most part - Food Exchanges just confused me because they overly complicated something simple. Type 1 or Type 2 or Type 1.5 - we all have the same meal planning problem. Unfortunately - there is no "list" of safe foods. You have to make your own. BUT - it's not so hard. The trick is to look at Nutritional Labels on food products. 99% of everything has it.
6207205 tn?1389773318 Take acid blockers = ill health. My mother found out the hard way. She on longer suffers either GERD or LPR after she stopped nexium and starting taking betaine HCL with pepsin supplements and digestive enzyme supplements. Excerpt from Gallbladder Attack - Stomach Acid... "Too much stomach acid? Really? I mean, how is it that millions of people on PPIs are making too much HCl? Hyperchlorhydria or too much stomach acid is rather rare.
Avatar n tn t even get a chance to taste them since I go into pain immediately. Do you have a list of triggering foods available? Common sense tells me no acid or "hot" seasoned foods but a taste of Hungry Jack mashed potatoes did me in tonight for 2 1/2 hrs. Is that typical? Was it the salt content (I did not add), all I added was butter, was it that? I need help in determining which foods to choose and what ingredients to stay away from. I felt better after 2 doses of oxcar...

Avatar f tn There is quite a good list of symptoms on the Chiari One website - symptoms list. The list includes quite a few of your symptoms including burning shoulders. A standard MRI - sagittal (side) view is used to help identify Chiari 1. A cine (stands for cinema) MRI helps to determine the amount of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow. A cine MRI can be useful in cases of borderline/Chiari 0 malformations or if decompression is needed.
Avatar f tn You might be able to see the food under your “Recent” foods list even though it’s not displaying on your daily log. If it does display on your“Recent” foods list, you should be able to add it from there and have it displayed. Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Now I'm 34 haven't been able to work for the last 4 wks due to muscle pain, cramps so bad I'm unable to walk, confusion so bad it interfered with my work, my immune system is basically null & void.
