I can only tell you about my own experience. I am a resident of Canada's Yukon Territory. As much as I love the place, the cold is hard on me. I got to spend a short time in Florida the last 2 winters and I found it very agreeable. My husband and I plan to spend 3 months in Florida this winter. I don't know if summer in Florida would be good for me, since really hot weather and high humidity bother me as well.
I have Raynauds phenomomen, so my hands get very painful when they get cold and because of the rheumatiod arthritis my joints in my hands get red and hot. You know all the doctors always want to put people on antidepressants for Fibro but I've yet to hear that they work at relieving the pain. I know several people like yourself is on something but they still have pain and the numbing and tingling. Have you been offically diagnosed.
cold can make arthritis hurt more, I have fibromyalgia and no matter what the condition is, any change is weather, stress, sickness will affect it. Also fibromyalgia has certain places that hurt more, mostly joints. It probley would be a good idea to see a neurologist.
I found out I had low thyroid since being here and Ana test positive. I saw a Rhymotologist yesterday and he ran more test and will let me know Thursday.
Have any of you had the hot hands and swelling on extremities. I have had Fibro for years, but never these problems.

is changing my antidepressants so my fibro is a lot worse. Stress, changes in the weather and air conditioning are a big hurt for me. I'm on beta blockers and have noticed no diff in symptoms. Good luck,I know it takes a long time to find answers and I found I usually had to on my own. Thinking of you!

Hi I'm new to the group, I've just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and i want to know how do you get it, what brings it on and how is it diagnosed?
When the weather is wet or an over cast day, I become neausiated, tired, limp and I must rest immediately. Sometimes I feel like I am going to black out. I must go home immediately from work or I must not venture out, because I am sick. But once the sun breaks through or it clears up it is as if a light switch was thrown. I go from completely off to being on and happy. Please tell me if you have ever heard of anything like this in your life.

i am 28 with fybromyalgia, i have constant tingling in my arm and hand and also lots of nerve twitching, i am always worse before my period, and round this time i dont feel well my heart palpitates with slight pains in my chest, and i feel tired and out of breath and my legs feel like they are gonna leave me when i walk and sometimes they give way for a second, but i never fall, any ideas why im like this?
My symptoms began as myalgias and fatigue and I was diagnosed as fibromyalgia and treated with antidepressants for years. I've always had sleep trouble and GI complaints, so I seemed to accept this diagnosis. Over the last 3 months, I began having generalized numbness and tingling with associated burning and hypersensitivity of my skin, a raw feeling in my mouth and painful teeth. My muscle aches and fatigue continue and seem to get worse with weather change and stress.
