2010625 tn?1329372056 Today has been different as I have pain and numbness. It is like everything just feels like pressure. I also have anxiety and thought maybe it could be an episode of depersonalization. I am not really sure but the numbness is freaking me out.
Avatar n tn I noticed yesterday that my left central incisor and my left lateral incisor felt numb. The teeth feel numb and parts of the gum area are numb too. On the gums the numbness does not go all the way up just part way. When I brush and floss I can tell these teeth and gum areas are numb. I have not had any recent injury to these teeth. About 5+ years ago I did fall...but mainly the damage was to my nose. HA HA. I have had some minor chipping to the left central incisor.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if anyone also suffers from numbness of fingers and legs? Also in the summer I have no pain, but as soon as the cold hits, it feels like my bones are being crushed. Is this really fibromyalgia or something else?
Avatar f tn When I stand or walk the left leg is weak and the bottom of my foot tingles and is painful. I get random numbness and tingling in my left hand, left side of my scalp and around the eye and lip. I just keep getting told I have this or that but not enough to cause these issues. (osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia) Just this week I have had this weird symptom show up. I keep getting this heat to my face and my cheeks turn red and hot, but it does go away so I dont think it is the Lupus butterfly thing.
669594 tn?1225665617 I just recently got steroid injections in them and it hleped but I can still feel the ache a little. Combined with the numbness does this ring any bells?
Avatar f tn I haven't posted in a loooong time. I am still undx'd and when I get frustrated, will sort of grin and bear it fotr a while. I have a question about the numbness/pain/stiffness assoc. with MS. When my symptoms first began (they are predominantly one sided), I was having a lot of numbness and needle stabbing type pain.
Avatar f tn I recently posted regarding some tingling and numbness in arms and B12 or diabetes was suggested. I have since started taking B vitamins and have been very careful about what I eat. I have also been exercising everyday. The numbness and tingling has gone completely away - however, I still have severe muscle pain in both forearms. Can this be related? It has only been 3 weeks since I started the vitamins.
Avatar f tn Thank you for answering. I am 55 years old. No history of diabetes or hypertension. I have had numerous blood tests, and MRI to rule out MS, lupus, diabetes. Everything came back O.K., except Rheumatoid Arthritis showed up low to moderate level.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your response. I have yet to be diagnosed and I have tingling, numbness and pis/needles. I wasn't sure if that as common for fibromyalgia or not. And, it drives me crazy too! I can barely stand to sit at the computer anymore because of it!
Avatar f tn I'm an 48 year old female with MS symptoms since Sept 2010. The left side of my body from head to toe has weakness, numbness, uncoordinated, pain, burning foot, numbness that wraps around my leg like an ace bandage, and sometimes over sensitive when touched. Along with all that fun stuff, short term memory loss, bowl & urinating issues. So in short I've lost about 25 - 30% usage on my left side, unable to walk without a limp.
Avatar f tn now, recently i started feeling slightly nauseous and then i started having trouble breathing and the next thing i know, i get a tingling numb feeling in my hands so i think its just a panic attack and i sit down. only this time, the numbness goes into both arms and up into my head, and after about 10 mins my entire body is numb and tingling. literally head to toe. and i'm still sitting down. then i get this intense pressure in my torso.
Avatar f tn is there ANY human being not under multiple and sometimes overwhelming stresses? But oh, how I hope I am simply an overstressed one.
2010625 tn?1329372056 I am not clear if you mean your whole body is numb...but i have numbness on my shoulder and / or it can feel like pins and needles. Hope this helps...
Avatar f tn One common finding among autoimmune patients with positive ANA and RNP as well as fibromyalgia syndrome is that over 75% have chronic bacterial and viral infections. I suggest that you consider testing for some common infections found in these conditions. A list can be found on our website under Clinical Testing (immed.org). If identified, these infections can be treated (see information under Treatment Considerations on our website).
Avatar f tn See if you can get in to see a neurologist. I have fibromyalgia and a seizure disorder. This sounds similar to some of my symptoms. It also sounds like it could be MS. A neurologist would probably be the best doctor to see for this.
Avatar m tn ok for the past 18 months i have been getting tingling senstaions and numbness in my toe, along with muscles spasms and ligament pain. I have been to a neurologist twice and had 2 MRI's of brian and spine they have both come back fine as well as VEP,SEP,NCD and EMG they have all come back fine my neuro doesnt think its MS he says its stress related but i dont think stress would last thing long or get wosre?? so im yet to be coninced.
Avatar n tn the fact that you require B12 supplements you can experience generalized pain, numbness, tingling and other such symptoms. There are many other medical issues that can be induced when your system in severely deficient in B12. I sincerely hope that you will continue to take it as prescribed. It's an important vitamin for health. There are studies that suggest an "event" can trigger fibromyalgia, such as you describe.
Avatar m tn Week #2 - minor tingly and some subtle numbness in mostly arms and feet. Tingly and numbness was off and on - seemed to be more at rest and night? Sometimes numb patches upper arm, face, and lips which were short lived. Always able to feel pressure at numb spot - so i guess mild numbness. - painfull joint aches that rotated - wrist, toes, foot, knee, shoulder etc. - some lightheadedness and headaches (non-severe) - Pain under ribs, usually one side, but happened on both left and right.
Avatar f tn I have numbness from fibromyalgia, there are times when I will be driving and my hands will go numb. My concern is whether or not this could ever be a permanent situation. Is it possible for the numbness to come and not leave? Thanks for your input.
Monster Multiple muscle groups may eventually become involved, with most patients experiencing pain in the neck, middle and lower back, arms and legs, and chest wall. These areas feel painful with even slight pressure and are called tender points (figure 1). Many patients with fibromyalgia feel that their joints are swollen, although there is no visible inflammation of the joints (arthritis). ### FIBROMYALGIA TESTS — There are no specific laboratory or imaging tests used to diagnose fibromyalgia.
