Now I get, many years later, being a wild woman and messing my neck a multitude of times, ha ha, the pain in the neck (not my husband) that you might be getting. Most people are prone to their hands falling asleep and getting pins and needles from blocking blood flow. Once blood flow resumes that is what we feel after the numbness that we call pins and needles.. Have a great day.

Hi, I have fibromyalgia and have had bursitis in both shoulders which were treated with injections, I’ve recently had a flare up of my fibro and now seem to be left with upper arm pain and fatigue and I’m also finding if I don’t sit with my neck supported, I get a lot of pain and tiredness. I’m wondering if this pain is my fibromyalgia or could it be something else. I have upped my gabapentin to 300mg twice a day.

Hi, I have a left breast sharp pain, it also feels like muscle tightness, it goes under my armpit, down my arm underneath and on top, my neck and jaw, it has now travelled to my back and shoulder bone. This is really frightening me. I had the same problem 3 years ago and i was checked for heart, PE, Angina etc but everything was fine. They let me out of hospital and i could not even walk the pain was that bad.

i have sharp pain in my legs feet hands shoulders and neck that came on about 3 days ago it goes away with motrin, but as soon as the motrin wears off it comes right back what could these symptoms be...

Then it returned with a vengeance on the right side only now with severe inner ear pain, burning and throbbing. It radiates to my throat and neck as well. I saw an ENT and she dismissed it as muscle pain. I saw a chiro and he tried to help but honestly it was minimal relief. I just now saw a neurologist and that is where the MRIs are coming in. He never mentioned Fibromyalgia to me. In fact, nobody has. So on my own I have scoured the internet and searched inner ear pain and fibro.

This doesn't really sound like fibromyalgia and if it's a chronic problem you need to see a specialist. You also need to have the chest pain evaluated. Your primary care doctor might be s gôod place to start.

t know if it is from anxiety or fibromyalgia or both. Started in the back of my neck and after hurting my back and surgery it is now all over?

Hello, I was wondering what the typical symptoms/ triggers would be for possible fibromyalgia. After lifting a water jug for the bubbler @ work I experienced a shooting pain in the left side of my neck. Since this event I have been experiencing constant spasm in my neck/trapezius for approx 7 months w/o any relief in symptoms. X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.

I have had fibromyalgia for the past 20 years and 3 surgical fusions in my neck as well as 2 in my lumbar spine........and the migraines since I was a teenager.......sometimes you just don't know what to deal with first, right? About 2 years ago, I fell down the stairs and hit my head on a tree. They took me by ambulance and hospital did a CT scan and said I was okay. Hi Ettebette, I am so sorry that you are having severe neck pain. I have been where you are. Years of pain and no diagnosis. I was finally diagnosed and my pain was "justified" but it took 15 years for me. If you have had MRI's and CT's and nothing is showing than it is doubtful you have a disc or structural problem. Muscle spams and muscular pain can be just as painful as a disc problem.

I can only turn my head to the left so far and I am getting pain and it goes up behind my ear and into my head could this be coming from my fibromyalgia? I have never had it there before. Mostly elbows and knees and shoulder sometimes.

ve read that fibromyalgia is known for the burning feeling especially of feet and hands. I imagine this is nerve pain so there is also something called erythmelagia. This is often in the feet though but can also show in hands but usually they are red too. It involves the sensory nerves. It started out feeling like my bones were aching then i started to have pain in my left leg , shoulders, neck and back. And paresthesia in my left arm. I went to the emergency room and the doctor and was told it was sciatica and tense muscles probsbly from stress.. after about 3 weeks of this the leg pain and paresthesia went away but i was still having neck and back pain, headaches, muscle twitches . Now i just started having those same symptoms in my rifht side.

It was not much of a problem and little bit pain was there. I visited a doctor in April, 2007 and he gave me injection on the affected area. Well it's September now. Since the last MRI of the brain my docs have sent me on a whirlwind of exams...breast ultrasounds every 3 mos..watching several ?cysts. No biopsies. A new development...12mm lymph node adjacent to the sterncleiomastoid muscle on the right side of my neck along with lymphadenopathy in my cspine and left occipital region as well as the left submandibular region. The Hematologist says the lymph node aren't the cause of my pain.

I have been suffering from constant head/neck pain for over 10 years. The pain begins behind the ear, right side above the base of the skull. It radiates down the spine below the shoulder blades. I have had the following treatments: cervical spine fusion c5/c6 due to rupture disk, botox injections to the head, neurostimulater implant 4 yrs then removed, steroid injections, and taken huge quantities of narcotic pain relievers.

I have been experiencing a lot of muscle spasms everywhere, arms, legs, neck etc. I hurt constantly. Pain releif medication does nothing. I am 49 and when I stand up I feel like Im 90. Its now to a point if I move my head up or down or side to side I feel a sharp muscle pull that shoots up my neck and over my head. Six months ago I had a mini face lift. I had a great deal of bleeding after surgery and extreme nausea. I had 10 cc of fluid/blood removed from a large pocket on my neck. Two months ago I needed a second surgery due to an unusual fold in my neck and some blisters and hard knots under the skin of my neck. Since that surgery I have been getting steroid injections into the hard knots/scars. I now have a depressed pocket, the size of a penny and several rock hard knots under the neck skin.
