fibromyalgia

Avatar n tn There is no mention in any significant source about association of Benign Fasciculation Syndrome (BFS) and Fibromyalgia. There may be a possibility though, as some authorities claim a viral etiology (cause) for both these conditions. Hope you feel better soon!
543791 tn?1216381777 I just read your journal entry and I am in tears. Thank you for sharing that with us. I completely understand what you mean. Many of my family members just don't seem to understand but some do and I find validation in that. Again I just wanted to say thank you!
Avatar m tn 49 AM A study published on September 25 in The International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine found that Fibromyalgia (FM) “prevalence was found to be as high as 25% in a single study of hepatitis B virus (HBV) carriers (1).” polyDNA recommends Gene-Eden-VIR to help the immune system target the latent HCV and HBV. Avatar n tn One of the symptoms we suffer with is jaw pain and teeth pain. You can go to my journal pages and see what we have gone through the past year. Lyme disease will make you magnesium deficient. It is worth looking into.
Avatar f tn Is there a connection between fibromyalgia and the ability to manage dental pain during procedures? I had to have some cavities taken care of last week - the dentist had to do four rounds of novacaine in addition to the topical analgesic and it had no effect on the nerves. He even gave me the maximum amount that could be administered. I'm also curious if there is a link between tooth decay and fibromyalgia.
976084 tn?1270872439 I don't want to copy and paste what I wrote in my journal but if someone thinks they might want to help me can you please read it. Thank you for anyone who actually does...

Avatar f tn ve had those same experience, pins and needles sensation in arms and legs, now I have them in my bodice and back too...they come and go. I have always attributed them to Fibromyalgia. I encourage you to think of some things you are grateful for,,, I have every sympathy for you, as I know how scary these odd symptoms can be. I've been cautioned to be careful which sites I look at on the Internet, as I can scare my self needlessly.
131114 tn?1380083190 Hi there - I'm going to send you a PM about this. I've added some data (which I can delete), and it's appearing, and you have the progress line, so I'm not sure why it's not appearing, but I'll talk to you in PM, too.
Avatar f tn What you're feeling (about the baby, being a mom, preparing the nursery, etc.) and what you're plans are. Like "Not much has changed, she's still kicking around down there :) Read another chapter from the baby book, learning so much. Wonder if I'll remember it all!? Oh, and hubby and I are going out tonight with the in-laws." lol just an example. It doesn't have to be just about baby and her development.
Avatar f tn Would I post that in my journal? Sounds like a foolish question, but I am not very good at finding my way around this site and just want to do it in the correct spot.

Avatar f tn I am 33 and I feel so old b/c of the constant aches and pains! I have Fibromyalgia and Bulging/Herniated Discs in my Neck, and Many other Health Issues as you can see in my profile! First of all if you have Fibromyalgia there is something called the Fibro Fog, where you have a hard time concentrating and verbalizing! I personally think the most Prominent Symptom of Fibro is the Pain.
Avatar n tn I am only 25 and have all the symptoms of fibromyalgia, CFS and MCS. I am unable to get out of bed some days but because of my young age my doctor is not seeming to take me seriously. He tests my thyroid and iron levels and many other things, but has not sent me to a fibromyalgia specialists. Also I have not been able to get disability cheques, so I am on government assistance:(. Does anybody more experienced have any advice for me? This can be quite stressful.
1290770 tn?1272075535 I was just diagnosed today with Fibromyalgia. The doc sent my blood in and will know by Thursday if everything else is eliminated, but she said she's pretty sure it's Fibro and "severe depression". She prescribed Cymbalta, which I started taking today (30mg for a week, then 60mg for two weeks, then go back to see how its going). Problem: I'm a self proclaimed hypochondriac, so after taking my first Cymbalta, I'm sitting here waiting to have a seizure or something.

Avatar n tn you will discover thousands of articles that do suspect a link between the symptoms of fibromyalgia and hormones. Men have hormones too (!) and so of course they could suffer imbalances and symptoms. Fibromyalgia IS a blanket term that is used to describe many problems, including symptoms such as keepthefaith and salter are experiencing. It is believed that it is a central nervous disorder but no one really knows for sure yet. Some doctors don't even believe in it.
Avatar f tn t felt I got any better - infact I have these new symtoms. He examined me and concluded that I had fibromyalgia. After the diagnosis I showed the dr a picture on my camera of some leg hive like swelling things I've been getting - he said they were erythema nodusum and looked a little perplexed. Having read up on fibromyalgia I'm not sure that it explains everything however I will take the 25mg a day of amitriptyline I have been prescribed and hope for the best.
Avatar n tn I have a list of 29 studies that say NSAIDs weaken bones. It's a well-established fact, but also a bit of a secret. I have already given you two excellent web references for the American Journal of Sports Medicine. Why don't you start with that before you tell me I'm wrong? I'm trying to help you and you seem to be attacking me. If heat is a problem, you can turn that function off and just use the massage. That was my main point anyway.
937868 tn?1570328281 Today’s most exciting research implicates oxidative damage as an underlying problem in fibromyalgia and calls for more research into the use of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids to fight inflammation and scavenge free radicals. Many studies have found oxidative damage in people with fibromyalgia. In addition, levels of superoxide dismutase, an internal antioxidant, are reduced in women with fibromyalgia.
