Fibromyalgia and joint pain

Common Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia and joint pain

fibromyalgia

Avatar f tn One possibility is fibromyalgia. Apart from fibromyalgia multiple joint pain is seen in hypothyroidism, low Vitamin D levels, Low Vit B12 levels, anemia, Hashimotos thyroiditis, gout (can sometimes cause multiple joint pain), rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, SLE, electrolyte disturbance particularly those involving calcium and magnesium, parathyroid gland problems, chondrocalcinosis and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Avatar n tn This may be due to a lack of magnesium. Or it could be that your muscles are just so tense during the day that they hurt when you finally relax them at night. It could also be a symptom of Fibromyalgia - but you didn't mention if you hurt anywhere else and if you hurt during the day. I would try a multivitamin/multimineral supplement to see if perhaps you are missing something in your diet. - Please let us know how you fare.

Avatar f tn m 18 years old, active, and for the past 10ish years I have been experiencing bone and joint pain. It really upsets me because I used to play soccer, basket ball, track and field, floor hockey, writing, doing drama, and do 4-H. but I haven't been able to do any of that stuff because my body won't let me. When I do these things my lungs and heart start to hurt a lot. My doctor won't diagnose me, and I just want the pain to go away.
Avatar n tn It's been a really long time, four years since the treatment ended still clear.
Avatar m tn Fibromyalgia would be more muscular pain. Look up diagnosing Fibromyalgia- there is 18 specific tender points which are painful in ppl with it and other criteria needed to be diagnosed as Fibro. Does she have inflammation at the joints and increase pain with activity? This might suggest arthritis. I would suggest to keep seeing her doctor and following through with tests. This may take time bc they have to rule things out.
Avatar m tn I'm 28 and I have joint pain in my finger joints and I feel it in my wrists sometimes too. And in the digits of my feet (I think). I have no RF in my blood and the doctor said just take Ibuprofen. I am slightly over weight because of bulimia. I've had gluten sensitivity problems (makes me sluggish and hungry). AND labyrinthitus in the past months. No thyroid problems. Not diabetic. Feeling it might be Fibromyalgia ? I'm lost.
Avatar f tn Help! I have been having traveling joint pain for about two months now. I think this all started when I got a really bad strep throat infection. About two weeks after the infection pasted I started getting bad burning pains in my wrists when I move them (especially flexing them up or down) It was so bad I couldn't get dressed by myself in the morning) I started wrapping my wrist and that seemed to help.

Avatar f tn I have been experiencing all over joint pain and fatigue for over a year now. My doctor has done a lot of standard testing and says, based on my blood sugar levels I have pre diabetes. While I know from reading that this would account for the fatigue and general feeling of exhaustion I can't find anything that would explain the joint pain. Does anyone else out there have joint pain and stiffness all over the body associated with pre diabetes??? Any thoughts?
Avatar m tn I'm 52 year old male, suffering from joint pains(shoulder, neck, fingers, rib pain(increases while breathing)). Following are the abnormal test results after consulting doctor WBC count: 14800 cells/microliter Neutrophils: 76% My doctor asked me to use pain killer medicines. 387767 tn?1345872027 Ear pain, Jaw pain and Headaches can be due to TMJ ( Tempromandibular Joint Dysfunction). TMJ is common in patients with Fibromyalgia. Do you grind /clench your teeth at night? Do you mostly get this pain after waking up from sleep? Then most likely it's TMJ. Also, If your dentist mentions that you have some teeth-wear ( Attrition), then you are most likely grinding/clenching your teeth at night. Though I don't know what the reason could be for your throat closing up...
Avatar f tn MSM is an herbal remedy. Methylsulfonylmethane. It is for joint pain/support, but it also helps regrow hair and is good for asthma, arthritis, allergies and Fibromyalgia. Some people claim that it helps with headaches and heartburn. Doesn't help my heartburn - but does help me with the inflammation from Fibromyalgia.

I have had blood tests for Lupus, Rhematoid arthritis, lymes and parvo and they have been all negative.
