I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia recently and my biggest fear is I may possibly also have lupus. I am 28 years old and my doc thinks I have had fibro for atleast 6 years. I am a tough cookie so I just ignored the pain and fatiuge. I am not on birth control, I had my tubes tied after my last baby. I take neurontin, cymbalta, fiorocet, clonidine, and occasionally muscle relaxers. I also fear, my doc is going to start thinking I am a hypocondriac. She has been wonderful so far.

Have been told for years that I had fibro, went to physio testerday with knee pain, and after ding tests, she said I had hypermobility syndrome, My daughter who was there because of severe sciatica, was then tested, and told she had it too, apparently it's a genetic thing. I havn't heard of this before, and the physio seemed very surprised this had not been picked up on before now. I have had several spinal surgeries, and she told me this could be the reason, for my joint problems.
What would cause bruising like this for no reason? I have fibromyalgia and osteoporosis, could this be coming from either one of these problems? It hurts to behind over and it is sore to the touch! Please can you help me out on this?

I have an awesome Dr that said that may be part of it but there is something that causes fibromyalgia. I have so many different symptoms and they change from day to day. I've been in hospital and have had to leave my job because of whatever this is and memory problems. At one time was taking between 30 - 40 pills a day with 8 different drs. I am sure you have forund out that every different symptom has a different dr to see. I have changed the approach to drs.

Over the course of 3 months I have been checking my legs daily for new bruises and have been bruising more and more frequently. I am also extremely fatigued for no reason and have a constant headache that wont go away. I used to work out at the gym everyday and have energy to spare, but now I can barely bring myself to get out of bed. I noticed I started getting these bruises and hip pain after I had an episode of kidney stones almost 5 months ago.
( I already have fibromyalgia and it could be that. I had a ten year period when I could hardly walk and standing was very hard on my feet.) I'm getting around here like a really old lady. It's the intensity that is new and the increased limitation and pain. I have had IBS for 6 months. Lost 17 pounds. Doc put me on elavil. Helped with IBS but is it causing these symptoms? I'm going off it to see if anything changes.Bless you. Pleiadean p.s. These body challenges are very hard to work with.
I thought I self diagnosed and while relieved it wasn't Cushings, I still needed answers. My Fibromyalgia doc did another battery of tests and says I have reverse T3 and has placed me on Cytomel for hypothyroidism. I have lost about 10 lbs. in the past month, but my energy level is still not as good as they hoped. I take B-12 injections and they also want to start me on Plaquenil. I also started taking D3, as the test showed I was severly defiiciant.
I was on so many different drugs. The pain I felt was I wasn't able to walk because of bruising all up and down legs and from a burn on my leg and just being tossed around in the car and of course headaches from the concussion. After a few months of healing I thought my legs were doing better as far as pain went. And then I started feeling a burning in my knees and neck instead of the feeling like I had beaten by a baseball bat after accident pain.
I am 29 year old female with unexplained bruising on my lower left buttock area. I did not bump or touch anything that would give me a bruise to this extent. The bruise is deep purple in color, splotchy looking, and there are several spots like this in that area. I have history of fibromyalgia. What should I do? What could this be?
I've had SLE, Fibromyalgia for 17 years and it is mostly controlled; Sjogrens for 4 years and was diagnosed with RA in 2009. Since being diagnosed with RA, I have broken my left ankle, ruptured a tendon on my left foot, lost my left toenail, fallen off a train, injuring my right hip, back and neck. MRIs showed ruptured disc C-3 to C-4 and bulging discs L-3 to L-5, cervical spondylotic changes, bilateral subarticular recess narrowing.
I kept saying that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. Fibromyalgia has so many different sx. If you read up on Fibro you will see where it just varies. I do not agree with the info that it does not get worse. Mine wax and wanes. If I overdo things, don't sleep well, have alot of stress it alwaus flares up. As far as winter versus summer it could just be r/t increased stress of holidays, weather issues, with increased stress comes decreased sleep, subsequently flareup of fibro.
Dr Gole took my bridge off and all of my symptoms of fibromyalgia went away. I have since interviewed 60 people in Canada with Fibro and referred then to the TMJ dentist Dr Rondeau in London Ontario. At least 15 of the people have already got dental splints to put there jaw in proper alignment and their symptoms are going away. The medial field need to pay attention to this finding.
I am no Doctor but it doesn't sound like a Fibromyalgia thing. Usually Fibromyalgia causes fatigue and tons of aches and pains all over. Your bruising problem should be looked at. I have read in the past Leukemia and other immunosuppressive diseases can cause more bruising than usual. Certain meds can too such as Aspirin, Ultram, etc.
Thanks john, i was on medication for a short time but i decided to stop taking them as they made my illness worse. i have fibromyalgia and cfs. so i havent had meds for two months. am thinking it may be a alergic reaction.
I have fibromyalgia, neck and back nerve damage and migraines. But this pain is consistent for 2 weeks and with pain killers, heating pads, hot baths, cold packs etc. it has not eased up. To touch it lightly the pain is so severe. What could this be?

I have Fibromyalgia. Is has been much less of an issue in recent years, but I do still get "unexplained" bruises from time to time. To add to all this, I'm anemic, type 2 diabetic, hypertensive, and have fibromyalgia. I'm also a 7-year breast cancer survivor. Does anyone have any thoughts for me about any of this, or do you need any more info? Thanks for reading.
vibration does not send shocks up my arms and I don't have severe numbness in the a.m. Most all my tests have come up normal. Stress does enhance the symptoms, even a disagreement with my husband. CFS is quite an involved illness. I am pretty much bedridden. My eye pain gets so bad that I think my eye balls are going to explode (mostly in my left eye) and my left eye lid droops.
