3) Pathogens can release neurotoxins, and mercury, aluminum (and aspartame/Nutrasweet is an excito-toxin) are neurotoxins (that's why aspartame causes fibromyalgia symptoms) and can all effect nervous system. If you go to a rheumatologist, they will have you fill out paperwork that gives a psych test. I feel-- sad mad whatever. Don't bother to fill it out. Don't think they are helping you. They are trying to diagnose you as psychotic.
You need to go on-line and research fibromyalgia - I think that this is what you have and that you need to find a doctor who will help you. Since there is no blood or other kind of test that can confirm this syndrome, some doctors do not believe it actually exists.................but please, keep looking because I have finally found relief.

But i did drink a 2 litter of diet sprite yesterday which could make the other symptoms even worse. Im really loosing my mind too and cant really stand this any longer. What should i do? Im still scared to goto the doctor and be disapointed again, but i havent ever went for anything related to sleep apnea. also im 22 years old. wichita kansas. For instance i have had similar symptoms to you, however no hair loss,i have had tremors, restless leg syndrome, fatigue, night sweats, teeth grinding, and eye problems, major migraines all of these symptoms for the past 15 years,i had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia,M/e and all types of viral infections, however after visiting a neurologist privately i might add it seems there may be light at the end of the tunnel, and at last a diagnosis.
This is for the many posters on this board who report variations of peripheral neuropathy and MS-like symptoms, especially the many who are frustrated that conventional medical testing and workups have left you without solutions, or even diagnoses.
I have had stomach cramps combined with diarrha and constipations for the last two weeks. I still have an apetite and no fever. What are these symptoms a sign of?
My old rheumatoid doctor said that if it was fibromyalgia, that all the bloodwork would be normal, all the time, and medications generally would not do much. Plus, they tried me on prednisone, which worked wonderfully as much as I hate the idea of it, and a neurologist tried me on Provigil for a sleeping disorder (they use it to treat a bunch of things), and it worked great. So, that was all evidence that something was definitely wrong. The B-12 should work immediately, if your body needs it.
Has anyone here experienced internal vibrations in hips and legs and weird little buzzing spots in hand and feet? I can feel them but can't see them!!! MS Symptom?
Aspartic acid is a nonessential Amino acid, meaning that our own bodies produce it, and it plays a role in hormone production and nervous system function. Aspartic acid is not a component of Aspartame. Aspartame and Aspartic acid are two completely different compounds that have nothing to do with each other.
My mom and i both have fibromyalgia....and i can say without a doubt the fibro pain is not just in your neck and shoulders. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia many years ago and just recently (this week)I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. For a few years now I wake up with very stiff muscles and aches (widespread)throughout my body, I always feel like I have flu symptoms.By the end of everyday I feel as if my muscles are tearing away from my bones.
I was prescribed Topamax along with an appetite suppressant (Adipex) for weight loss a bit over a year ago and stopped taking them after two and a half months. I did not lose all of the weight I had wanted to, but most of it. I had gained 55 pounds while on Paxil over the course of two and a half years. By taking a combination of the two medicines, I lost 22 pounds the first month, 10 pounds the second month, and 8 pounds the first half of the third month.
The dizziness resembled being carsick, with lightheadedness and occasional moments of nausea and feeling faint (but I never passed out). I had a CAT scan and blood work twice, and so far no diagnosis for the dizziness/fatigue. It got better for a few weeks but last week I began to have dizzy spells again, this time accompanied by maxillary sinus pressure. I had just switched allergy medications, from Nasonex to generic Flonase, right at the time my symptoms returned.
Also, this lifestyle change, (I am absolutely sure cutting sugar and carbs is right for me), and extra Omega-3s are not showing any help for my muscle pain from fibromyalgia (just a side note). and I still feel fatigued a lot, whereas with this weight loss I should have more energy. I wrote this because I read where fish oil is causing more PVCs in some people. Will they EVER get this right?
(2). Aspartic acid (aspartame) and glutamate (ingredient in monosodium glutamate) have been labeled as excitotoxins, which Dr. Russell Blaylock, author of Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills, defines as "a group of excitatory amino acids that can cause sensitive neurons to die" (226). An article in the Orlando Sentinel Tribune states, "according to Blaylock, a single meal may contain several of these additives . . .
A great number of people mention headaches, seizures, mental confusion or memory loss, hives, and gastrointestinal problems (among others). This begs the question... If aspartame earned over a billion dollars in 1996, and if it is truly "safe", what can possibly be the Monsanto, Searle, NutraSweet objection against ONE more test to PROVE it?
Thanks for responding, can't believe someone else has chronic migraines & I C, they're supposed to be linked, along w endometriosis and CFS and fibromyalgia .. I have never been big on diet sweeteners and haven't used any in years.. I appreciate you taking the time to help.
The MS society has never found any connection between aspartame and MS and trust me, they are the ones who want to know, so if there were a connection, you would know about it from them. I really despise doctors who use unsubstantiated scare tactics to boost their own careers. If you haven't noticed yet, most homeopathic doctors also sell their own medicines. Conflict of interest? I think so. If you don't have anything, how in the world will they sell you their products?
