Avatar f tn Do you take 120 mg per day split up as two 60 mg doses? If you take one 60 mg dose every 12 hours, you are getting on average 60 mg/12 hour = 5 mg of morphine per hour. If you taking 120 mg over a 12 hour period, you are getting on average 120 mg/12 hour = 10 mg of morphine per hour. Take 25% of those morphine mg per hour numbers above and that will yield the bioavailability of morphine (i.e.,how much of the dose in the pill is actually active towards relieving your pain).
Avatar n tn Hi I have had severe Hives for 2 mos. This is the worse outbreak I've ever had, and my last case of Hives was 9 yrs ago. I was in the ER 2x this past month, put on IV steroids, antihistamines & Ranitidine. I had extensive blood work done for a multitude of alleries- all negative, Lupus, Lympoma, Lymes disease, CAT scan, all negative. I've done 2 rounds of Presnisone (which helped greatly), but 2 days after the last Prednisone pill- boom the hives came back bad.

Avatar n tn When I convert your current dose of MS Contin into Oxycontin equivalent, you are taking 60 mg less of Oxycontin through the MS Contin. To get dosing equivalent to 120 mg of Oxycontin through administration of MS Contin, you should have been prescribed 180 mg of MS Contin based purely on the pharmacological conversion factor between Oxycontin and MS Contin as Oxycontin is 1.5 times stronger than MS Contin.
Avatar f tn My glucose level was 103 in February 2011 without fasting which was within the range of 85-120. May 30 2011 I ended up in the ER due to a gallbladder attack. My glucose level was 115 which was high since the range used was 65-99. A week later the surgeon repeated the tests to prepare me for surgery. The glucose level was 86 which was normal since the range used was 65-99. Three days ago my blood was drawn an hour or less after eating.
Avatar n tn I caught every cold virus this winter (October through March) I felt severely hypo last December and blood tests showed it (table attached that tsh was high and t4 was low). My NDT was increased from 90 mg/ day to 120 mg/ day (always took one in the morning (60) then 30 mg prior to lunch..2 weeks ago the following tests came back; My vitamin B12 is 323 reference range: 153-655 pmol/L Doctor refuses to do D but I take 10,000 units per day and have since being diagnosed in 2007.
Avatar f tn Another conversion chart says that 60 mg of Armour is equivalent of 75 mcg of T4. For the latter, that would have been 120 mg of Armour instead of 90. So, just be aware that you most likely will need an increase, for that reason as well continuing to have symptoms. Another couple of things to consider is that any med with T3 in it is best taken by splitting the dose in half and taking 1/2 in the morning and half in the afternoon.

Avatar f tn You indicated that after switching to 60 mg, you felt terrible and the dosage was increased by 1/4 grain, which would be 75 mg. After two months, your labs showed that your Free T3 is still too low in the range for many hypo patients. And your Free T4 was even below range. So when did you go to 90 mg? Also, for perspective, what were your blood test results when you were on Levoxyl, and were you symptom free at that time?
225237 tn?1333138999 I recently started on metformin Er 500 mg at dinner. I have only taken it for for days.....I've been experiencing nausea, indigestion, frequent bowel movements. Avatar n tn you could take Tab Allegra (fexofenadine) 120 mg once a day for a week to assist in keeping it dry. If the ear begins to discharge you will need to take oral antibiotics (Tab Augmentin 625 mg thrice a day x 5 days is a good choice) or even antibiotic ear drops (Ciplox ear drops, 2-3 drops thrice a day x 5 days). HOWEVER, DO CONSULT A DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING YOURSELF ON ANY MEDICATION!!
Avatar n tn I am on armour and it took about 8 months to get my dosage correct, but i have had some new struggles showing that the dosage i have been on is still not enough. i started on 30mg of armour, then uped to 60mg then uped to 120mg, which is my current dosage. But my tsh has gone from 3.11 to 4.5 in a month, and i know that isn't extremelt high ( my tsh was 23 when they uped my meds from 60 to 120) but i still dont feel well.
Avatar m tn I am on 120 mg of Armour (two 60 mg tablets). My Vitamin D level is good. Forget what it is now, but the Doctor has me on a particularly good kind of Vitamin D. Yes, the SHBG was high--I had never had that particular test run. Thanks for the info concerning the test for free Testosterone. I will see about the Reference Range on the Iron Binding and get back to you.
