This should get you through for a couple of days till you can see your doctor and get a CT scan scheduled and a proper clinical examination. Do get your blood pressure checked too. Hope this helps. Do keep us posted. Good luck.
I'm having chronic cough since few years now, I only get cough while talking & most of the time there is no cough if I'm silent. There is no cough while at sleep as well. Just after intake of the food I get cough for a minute or 2. And If I laugh alot even then I get severe cough....I was able to over come the cough by taking Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180mg tab & two other tabs. There was no cough untill 6-8months... however it again started since few weeks.

I was on Hydrochlorothiazide about 4-5 months and it was working to keep my blood pressure down and then all of a sudden started breaking out in red raised welts. I went to dermatologist and he said it was a reaction to the hydrochlorothiazide and to stop taking it. I stopped and within two days it started to clear up. My primary care doctor then put me on Bisoprolol and I started getting hives 100 times worse! I have had them ever since, even though I stopped taking the medicine!
The list consists of more than 50 medications, including some drugs used to treat high cholesterol, depression, high blood pressure, cancer, depression, pain, impotence, and allergies. So I made a consult with a dermatologist. I had lots of tests done (blood, liver, kidneys, IgE, cholesterol) everything was good. I started taking fexofenadine 180mg per day with no results for about a week. Also took benadryl for a week with no results. I then changed to betametasone 0.6mg + desloratadine, 2 per day for three days then 1 per day for 3 days, which made the itching go away about the third day but came back soon after the fifth day while taking it. I went to see my allergist.
The possibility of high blood sugar causing some infection to persist should be ruled out by simple blood tests and if found high, then appropriately treated under a diabetes specialist. STD panel should be done along with a swab culture, and urine examination. At times frequent rubbing of the tip of penis on underclothes could be the cause. Hence wear loose fitting clothes and see if it helps. Of these, fungal infection, diabetes and allergy to personal care products should be looked into.
I do have low blood sugar and sink at times. Also low-blood pressure - 90/60 sometimes is normal for me. Should I be worried?
I have high blood pressure that I've been trying to control by cutting down on salt, caffeine, increasing exercise, etc. I have developed a rather intense intolerance for caffeine within the last few months. About 4 hours after consumption of caffeine, I would begin having anxiety attack-like episodes with elevated heart rate, irritability, restlessness, etc. Even with as little as one glass of iced coffee.
So, this is how it all started- on 16th of Oct, i fell really sick with a fever...i ignored it but even after 5 days, when it would not go away, i had a blood test done & was tested positive for dengue. i took medications & my fever vanished around 23rd Oct...but i was feeling really weak till atleast the end of Oct. Now, my weakness is nearly gone but a few days earlier i suffered from a hot flush on my face & my face was all red & dry & painful.
I too was given Avelox and I specifically asked my doctor if this drug would affect my high blood pressure, glaucoma, and Thyriod problem. Of course he said no. Day 7 of Avleox was the day I noticed I was feeling really bad, but Day 10 was the worst. I don't mind meeting Jesus when he calls but I didn't expect it to be in such a painful and miserable way.
5 days in the hospital and sterioids antibiotics pain killers, test after test, cat scan etc I'm able to breath..now that my blood pressure is back down from 169/115 to its normal 110/78 and if I can just get the dizzy ness and the heart racing palpitations to stop...maybe I can get back to my life!!!!!! Will someone please tell the AMA that we are not crazy and that Acid reflux can be cause!! Don't you hate it when doctors dont listen!!!! or worse dont seem to believe you?!!!
He said the infection was gone, but that I still had postnasal drip and that this explained the spots on my throat as well as the congested ears. So he prescribed Fexofenadine and some ear drops and sent me back on my way. That brings us to the present. I haven't taken the meds very well as they keep me from sleeping well and just make me feel weird. So, admittedly, the fact that the symptoms are persisting could very well be my own fault.
This helps to loosen up thick mucus and decongest your sinus passages and any blocked Eustachian tube that can cause pressure on the ear. If you do persist with the problem with your breathing, you should considering seeing the doctor again to listen to your lungs for any problems there and the doctor may decide that a lung function test should be done to find out if the breathing problem is related to asthma and not anxiety. Best wishes.
I am 39 years old Female, with high blood pressure, I take the following medicines Diovan Tabs 160 mg for high blood pressure, Fexofenadine hcl for allergies, singulair tabs for allergies. I have seasonal allergies. I check my blood pressure every other day it is fine. I get yearly checkups physicals - I am overweight and working on it by walking everyday. If I understood correctly, grapefruit will enhance or build up the drugs in your blood. So, if your on high blood pressure meds for instance, it could cause it to go down too much. If your on a high dose of anti dep. you could get too much. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. The one thing I did get from the articles is, the bad cholesterol which the virus attaches itself to, is eliminated out of the body with grapefruit.
After 6 years of battling this, it is a relief not to have the hives everyday. I have high blood pressure and when the hives are present my blood pressure goes up. With Xolair I have a life again without all of the unsightly sores and rashes. I am now worried about what I am going to do once the trail is over. How do I go about getting in touch with the Genentech Foundation so I can continue on my medication?
This leave gaps between endothelial cells made up blood vessels (cause capillaries to become porous) ,allowing blood to exudate into the surround tissues, which apear as a distinct tiny rounded lesions (hives) histamine and other inflammatory factors (prostagladins etc) causes others irritation sensations such as itchiness. Current knowledge suggest that cholinergic neural pathways may be involve with this condition.

sometimes there is a feeling of pressure associated which tends to vary in severity. I also can here crackling noises when i swallow, and in addition, with my jaw-when i open it all the way. in the past i had issues with my jaw locking/shifting popping and what not. i am very concerned, and as you all are im sure, very anxious to defeat it.
Many have reported similar symptoms (head pressure and sleep issues) when increasing thyroid meds in general, not just levothyroxine. That was a big jump - double the amount. I dont know what sizes are available in between though. If the hyper feel from upping the dose does not go away, or is simply too irritating- ask the doc about alternating your old dose every other day with the new to gradually step up your dose per week.
Prior to this i was punching my mattress very hard going mad. Another thing that helped (for me) was applying pressure to the area. I covered my neck with my hands and pressed. This deadened the itch for a short while... then i had to release, and try it again. Cold flannel did nothing. But ice cube did. I grabbed 2 cubes, one at each side of neck... The ice allowed me to transition from a madman, screaming and flailing, into someone who just rocked and panted.
I have suffered from chronic hives the past 6 years. I am just in the beginning phase of eliminating what I think may be the contributing trigger and will share that in a moment. Research lead me to the conclusion that mine were pressure hives, where something creating even the slightest pressure in an area caused red welts & itching & if scratched they grew even larger & felt warm.
- water temperature - chlorine in water - fabrics (bed/clothes/towel) - fabric softener - soap / shower gel - sulfates in soap / shower gel - stress / blood pressure - air temperature - air humidity - climate / season - drying lower legs last (which I think ppl do normally) - not drinking enough water - showering in the morning - drying with a towel Let's work together to find the solution!
