1431138 tn?1294566894 I was just wondering cause a friend of mine is 12 weeks and said they told her there were girl parts today at her ultrasound. I think that's way too early to tell so I was just wondering.
Avatar f tn I had an ultrasound done at what I thought was 5 weeks 5 days and a yolk sac was seen but no fetal heart or fetal pole seen, and a repeat ultrasound to be done 10 days from then. Is this normal to not see any fetal pole or heart at this stage? The ultrasound tech said she wouldnt put me at 5 weeks 5 days.
1339501 tn?1285439404 My HCG had gone from 7500 to 16000 in 48 hours and from my LMP I should have been 7 weeks 6 days, but the u/s showed just a sac, no yolk sac, no fetal pole, no heartbeat. I was online constantly researching u/s's, fetal development, and what I should have seen (the fetal pole, the yolk sac). Almost everything I read online pointed towards miscarriage, or me having my dates wrong (which is impossible because the last time I had sex was the given conception date).
Avatar f tn How did you get 8 weeks 3 days pregnant, and embryonic ages of 10 weeks 3 days and 9 weeks 2 days? What start point are you using when you count the 8 weeks 3 days number?
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.
8171562 tn?1408628833 22 weeks today, I'm excited we've made it to this point. Yet, I'm anxious for Thursday to come, we go back in for another ultrasound to check baby's heart. Please I ask that you send positive thoughts (or prayers, if you pray) our way. Thank you.
Avatar f tn they dont want the baby to be to big...and the ultrasound most people have to check the fetal size is a fetal size and development ultrasound to see how your baby is developing and so im pretty sure that if they were concerd about the development and baby not being fully developed they wouldnt change the due date.
Avatar f tn i had my doctors appointment today the doc afformed me i was 6wks 3days today at the time of my first ultra sound i was approx 5wk 5days no heartbeat only yolk sak and development begfining so the doc said this was normal and heartbeats are usually detected in wk six or even wk seven the nurse tried to say there may only ever be a yolk sac and no bub but the doc and the lady who performed the ultrasound said no heartbeat or fetal pole can be normal at the early stage of five wks now im confused
7620634 tn?1392949593 Well according to my ultrasound I'm measuring 7 weeks exactly. The doctor wasn't concerned so I'm not worried about it right now. But everything looks great! Strong heartbeat at 146bpm. It was amazing to hear the heartbeat and see the flicker.
1133565 tn?1261315212 i went for my first scan 2 days ago where i found out i was 6 weeks and 4 days. the docter never told me the rate of the heartbeat but did show me on the screen. 'my baby' measured 8mm at this stage is that normal? because ev everyone im speaking to says it is far too big and should be around 5mm.
Avatar f tn Sorry to hear this. I had never heard of this and did some research. This is what I found. Hope it helps and prayers for you && the little one :) CPCs can form within this structure and come from fluid trapped within this spongy layer of cells, much like a soap bubble or a blister. CPCs are often called "soft signs" or fetal ultrasound "markers" because some studies have found a weak association between CPCs and fetal chromosome abnormalities.
Avatar n tn Choroid plexus cyst From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Choroid plexus cyst Classification and external resources ICD-10 G93.0 ICD-9 348.0 Choroid plexus cysts (CPCs) are cysts that occur within choroid plexus of the brain. The brain contains pockets or spaces called ventricles with a spongy layer of cells and blood vessels called the choroid plexus. This is in the middle of the fetal brain.
Avatar f tn Don't worry it's still early. At my 4 week ultrasound they saw a small sack & nothing else. 5 weeks they had a hard time seeing the yolk sac until the lead person did my transvaginalsound. 6 weeks they saw the sac, yolk, & tinyyyy baby with slow fetal pole. 8 weeks they did a regular ultrasound & saw a baby and saw fetal pole. Heard heartbeat when they did a transvaginalsound to hear it. However my doctor said I was lucky to see anything at 6 weeks. So you maybe 5-6 weeks.
Avatar m tn Depending on the quality of the machines and if you are earlier than you think, it's very possible. Some people don't see a fetal pole or heartbeat until 7,8, or 9 weeks. I didn't see any of mine until I was 7 weeks and a few days along. Have they scheduled another appointment or done blood work to see if your levels are rising? Another ultrasound would show if there's fetal development and if the pregnancy is viable or not.
Avatar m tn How common it is for early ultrasounds to be off in the first trimester, and how much? Doc wants to do one more checkup. My dates don't work so we've spent the last couple weeks trying to determine how far along I am. If I go by last bleed as LMP, I should be 7 and 2, but yesterday's ultrasound showed the sac measuring 5 and 4, and just a hint of fetal pole. No clear pole or hb yet. (Another post explains the whole story.
Avatar f tn There is feeble faint heartbeat with fetal development, but doctors are concerned as the baby din show any progressive growth since last 1 week. Only the fetal pole has started showing more prominently. I am very worried. This is scary as i had a spontaneous abortion in only 5 weeks few months back. I wont be able to take a second blow. Request you to give some insight. I have been given a week to observe. I want it to happen.
Avatar f tn in the afternoon she did the ultrasound again for the heartbeat which she saying that its very low n fetal development is slow as it show that its 5 weeks 6 days n she said its not possible that our measurement is wrong so for sure its going towards miscarriage n she said we have to monitor your body till there is a heartbeat as i have no spotting or bleeding yet.
Avatar f tn I was 7ish weeks from my last menstrual period. The ultrasound showed a gestational sac, a yolk but not much more. And no heartbeat. It measured around 5 weeks. So I was scheduled another ultrasound today I should be 8 to 9 weeks since lmp we seen a larger sac, about 8 weeks 3 days, a shadow of a yolk sac, but nothing else. No heartbeat. No signs of a fetus or fetal pole. After the first ultrasound, I was told there was not enough development to determine viability.
Avatar f tn The ultrasound at 5 weeks 6 days showed a gestational sac and the ultrasound yesterday (6 weeks and 3 days) showed no further development. My Dr thinks I will miscarry in the next couple of weeks. I have another ultrasound Tues (6weeks 6 days) and we will discuss our options after that. My Dr did say he would have been happy to see just a yolk sac and a fetal pole so that's good news for you! I have heard many people say that they haven't seen the heartbeat till after 7 weeks.
670260 tn?1231560840 I am having an ultrasound tommorow. I am 28 weeks exactly today and was wondering what key questions I should ask my doctor. I was also wondering if there is anything specific that I should keep my eye out for during my ultrasound. This is my first baby and I seem to get frazzled everytime I go to the doctor and forget any questions that I may have. i try to write them down and bring the list with me but I often forget that too!
Avatar f tn They'll do an ultrasound scan to help you figure out how far along you are. Usually they try to do it in the 7-10 week range because that's when fetal development is most consistent so gives the best sue date prediction. Good luck!
