I believe it is something that almost always forms during fetal development, so you are born with it even though you might not have any symptoms until much later in life. I guess it's possible an accident might trigger symptoms or it might be found when scans where done to check for injury from an accident. Hopefully your chiro friend is giving you advice and looking at x-rays but not manipulating your spine. I know chiropractic is helpful for many people.
As I understand it (I'm not a Dr.) you should see fetal heartbeat no later than 6 wks. Are you absolutely sure you're 8 wks? (I was 2 1/2 weeks off when I found out myself). Don't lose heart dear, the strength in our hearts is our most valuable asset. Take some time to relax and get comfortable, trust that God will be there for you no matter what.
I have experienced a turbulent ride this preg, but we are out of the 1st trimester. We rented a fetal doppler, so we can her babies H/B as many time as we want. The worry never stops. GOOD LUCK!!
Hello, I'm not a health care specialist, just someone that has had chiari malformation surgery and has done research, so don't take my word as gospel, but basically "yes" to both questions. All types of Chiari are congenital - that means you are born with it. And you can pass it along. That's not to say you will for sure, I've heard the statistics are around 14% chance - not a huge number, but a number to pay attention to. I believe there are 5 types of Chiari.
When we realized that he was peeing in his room we took him to a mental hospital for inpatient treatment and they kept him for 8 days before releasing him. I was told that they could not keep him there because he was not a danger to anyone and besides he promised not to pee and would follow all the rules ect. That only lasted a few hours after he got home and he was peeing again.
It is amazing to me to here of your courage and strenght you all have. I am at the piont of my treatment that I am taking shot to produce the eggs. Tomorrow i go in to find out when they will retrieve the eggs. Like gmwells I only have one shot at this, My money run ning out fast. I am very worried about it. I had my tubes tied 16 years ago. this is all new to be . I pray that all of your dreams come true for all of you . how does the doctor know when the eggs are ready to be retrieved?
I am sure you will be given a detailed ultrasound to check for any fetal abnormalities. This is usually done at the 16-17 week mark anyway. Do not, however, expect that the OB will have a lot of knowledge of what happens with pregnancies after endometrial ablation. I am sure it is quite rare. It all comes down to whether things look good now, that you are followed extremely closely for complications, and that you are thoroughly taught the signs/symptoms of preterm labor.
A neurosurgeon will be able to tell you at what point the aneursym should be treated and explain your options for treatment. I had one clipped and the surgery wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but recovery is slow.
my husbands insurance coverage starts in march so we just have to do a semen test and then get approval from my insurance to start treatment. the only problem we might run into is that we are going on vacation on the 4/23.12 so im hoping that still leaves us time to stat treatment. starting june 1st i have to pay my deductable all over again. so we might just wait till june . we will have to see what the doc thinks is best.
So if I was due to miscarry wk 8 post ET, then the embryo failed at about 4wks development (6 weeks preg). My symptoms were as you would expect; fatigue, nausea (I got 4pm sickness!), hunger, dizziness. Please note, not everyone gets the "typical" indicators of preg. Everyone is different. Had one friend who if it wasn't for her growing stomach, would not have known she was! But as I said, they did subside a little. I thought God was being kind to me after my long wait.
The fist time I tested positive, I had done the candida treatment. I think it worked because at some point I did the test several times and it was negative. I was so happy. Unfortunately, that did not last. I started having the same signs again, and when I tested it was positive again. And ever since I can't get it to be negative again, meaning the candida if that is what I have has become resistant to the supplements that I was using.
We struggled with the choice to use fertility treatment or not and we finally agreed that it was o.k. I have learned that faith without works is dead. And that God said He went away but He left us the power to do the things He done.He needs people to let Him use them (doctors and such).Hang in there and as long as you believe that God can do it then your time will come. We will be praying for you all !!!!!!!
