I have not had IVF so I can only speak from the
embryology perspective. Embryos are self correcting this early in
development, so the fragmentation is causes by the embryo kicking out the junk or the stuff that doesn't need to be inside the embryo. So the theory is, the more fragmentation, the more junk the embryo is kicking out, and the less normal the embryo is. But a smal amount of fragmentation is not always abnormal or bad. Ask your RE for a percentage of fragmentation.
