fetal development at 20 weeks

I was just wondering cause a friend of mine is 12 weeks and said they told her there were girl parts today at her ultrasound. I think that's way too early to tell so I was just wondering.

20 mm Fetal heart rate: 164 bpm, the other one is 33,7 X 18,4 Fetal length: 16,7 mm Yolk Sac: 5,9 mm Fetal heart rate: 166 bpm Also embryon1 age is 10w3d but embryon 2 is 9w2d. I'm very concerned. Are those differences ok? The next ultrasound is in 10 days and the wait is killing me.

Is this you first if so they give you up until 24 weeks to start feeling them. Or your placenta may be at the front so you don't feel them yet. It if your very active moving all day you won't feel them.

Im aldo measuring behind and they are monitoring fetal development.... (I'm 27 werks)... they don't do that for everybody..BUT since this time around I have lakes of blood in my placenta and high blood pressure (both are associated with low birth weight) they want to make sure my baby girl is growing at the rate she should be... ive measured 5 days smaller from the beginning...

This is my first pregnancy and I'm two days shy of 20 weeks. I still barely feel flutters like popcorn, and it worries me too sometimes because I see all these mother's on here talking about kicks by 18 and 19 weeks. But every pregnancy is different!

Hi, I'm 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.

I forget what the doctor told me but there is something very important in development around 20 weeks. They check at 20 week a to be sure it developed right. My doctor always says that the ultrasound is to make sure everything is okay not to find out what the baby is.

Yeah I've been on bed rest since 20 weeks. I had to receive a surcloge at 20 weeks. I'm just hoping for the best and Im hoping for the best for u too! Bed rest is tough, but we will get through it!! I get my second lung development shot today!!!

Second ultrasound at 8w 6d showed gestational sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole measuring 5 1/2 weeks, but no heartbeat. I'm scheduled for a third ultrasound next wed, which would be 10weeks, and if there's no hb, it's over Is this possible - to be almost 3 weeks behind? My dates can't be that far off! Also, my doc did the 2 ultrasounds in the office, but gave me the option to have the 3rd at the hospital. Is there any benefit to that, vs having my doc do it?

Is this normal to not see any fetal pole or heart at this stage? The ultrasound tech said she wouldnt put me at 5 weeks 5 days.

s the best time to get the most accurate gestational age. I had them done at 10, 20 and 30 and I have one more at 37 for fetal weight. I have 3 children already and the oldest is 14 and even then I had more than just one ultrasound.

ve had a very smooth, problem-free pregnancy. I have had a sonogram at 10 weeks, 14, weeks, and 17 weeks, and doctor said baby is very healthy. The blood work they did at the last appointment came back fine as well. I've had a significant little pregnant belly, and hungry about every 4 or 5 hours, tender breasts but not too bad. I felt the baby kick for the first time about a week and a half ago, and heard the kicking with a stethescope.

s definitely better to go by weeks. If people ask just politely tell them weeks is more accurate and how many weeks you are.

i read the bulletins about what fetal development should be at but they all very so much from site to site that I still don't have a clear understanding. i know that probably sound nieve but I just want to make sure that I am covering all bases and that nothing goes unchecked or undetected. Did they give you a percentile? My baby was in the 25 percentile at 36 weeks, she was taken out at 37wks1day and is perfectly fine (was small at birth 5lbs12.5oz) but seems normal otherwise.

Its normal. Your baby is still so tiny that it can find places to hide where it is bouncing up and down and kicking like a ninja and you wont be able to feel it. That is why they don't start kick counts until about 28 weeks. I remember with my first pregnancy I didn't feel my daughter for 3 days at 20 weeks so I went to L&D where they did an ultrasound and there she was moving around but because of her position I wasn't feeling it. i had my doctors appointment today the doc afformed me i was 6wks 3days today at the time of my first ultra sound i was approx 5wk 5days no heartbeat only yolk sak and development begfining so the doc said this was normal and heartbeats are usually detected in wk six or even wk seven the nurse tried to say there may only ever be a yolk sac and no bub but the doc and the lady who performed the ultrasound said no heartbeat or fetal pole can be normal at the early stage of five wks now im confused
