femara with ovidrel

This is my first time on here so I hope this works. This is my first month doing the ovidrel and femara together so I don't know what to expect. I have done the femara alone and have also done the clomid, but the shot is all very new to me. I have another u/s tomorrow to make sure I can have the ovidrel. It would just be nice to know if this has worked for someone and if it has, how well.

I took a first response test (the one with one or two lines). The last time I was pregnant (one year ago the ended up in a m/c), I took a test on Wednesday afternoon and it was negative, then again on Thursday right away in the morning it the line was faint. It turned out positive and I was due for AF on Friday that week. SOrry just searching for hope I guess. We have been ttc since Sep '08. I am 27 and my husband is 31. BFP naturally on Oct '08.

Not with Clomid, but I did Femara which is very similar to Clomid. In my second cycle of Femara we combinded it with Ovidrel, and I am now 5 weeks pregnant. Good luck!

I don't know what Ovidrel is, is that the trigger shot? I took Menopur, femara and Novarel together (I think Novarel is the same as Ovidrel).

It all depends I took femara one cycle with injectable (ovidrel) & an iui & worked on the first try. I'm 5 weeks & 3 days today. Clomid works but not for everyone clomid often thickens the cervical mucus which makes it hard for the sperm to swim to contect to the egg. I was taking tussin as well my last cycle of clomid but it didn't work. I had 6 cycles of clomid three solo & three with iui's. I wish you the best of luck.

After researching online, Femara is typically used to treat breast cancer. However, research has suggested there is a higher success rate with Femara vs. Clomid. Along with Femara, we are going to continue the Ovidrel shot. Ask you doctor about this. Maybe this could be an option for you and your husband. Good luck!!

m on my second cycle with Femara and Ovidrel, and we actually just did IUI today. What is it that you are so worried about specifically? I haven't had any bad side effects so far from either drug, although I have to admit I had a tough time giving myself the needle. I ended out having hubby do it for me. As for how long it takes to get your bfp, it really differs from person to person. Some people will get lucky on the first round and other have to keep moving up the ladder.

I got pregnant my 2nd month taking Femara, unfortunatley that pregnancy was a blighted ovim. I started the Femara up again and just finished my 3rd month. I take 2.5 mg on days 3-7. Good luck! It really does work!

ve heard that with femara and progesterone people get strong preg symptoms... maybe that will help me not read into every symptom this cycle (though i am sure i still will!!) It seems like forever since i've been in the 2ww since we missed last cycle due to the lap.. well GOOD LUCK! keep me updated!

so we were about to do IVF when my dr wanted to combine the letrolzole with femara (injectables) and thats when we got preg.. we have gotten preg twice with the combination.. but miscarried twice : ( so now i'm on femara + follistim again.. and we'll see... i'd defintely move it up to 5mg a day.. i can't say if its the dosage of femara or the addition of follistim that finally did the trick for us.. but now i'm on 5 mg femara days 3-5 and follistim, days 3,5,7 9...

This is my first cycle using femara and the ovidrel shot. I am currently in my 2ww. I took a hpt just to see if I would get a false positive to see if the ovidrel was still in my system. It has only be 7 days since the shot and I got a bfn. Did the shot not work? Do I still have a chance to get a bfp? Should I be worried? Can anyone share their experiences positive or negative?

Did you concieve with Femara? And when did you ovuale with Femara my O was kinda late at CD 19. But im happy with that!

I am currently on Femara and Gonal F and patiently waiting for follicles to get a bit bigger before getting trigger Ovidrel shot and IUI. I currently have 2 follicles growing and they are at 1.7 today. I ovulate on my own usually. How many follicles have you had on similar treatment?? I thought it would be more than 2 but does the fact that I have one more than usual increase my chance with IUI by a lot?

I'm seriously considering injectables... I would appreciate it if you ladies that have experience with these would share anything about these... cost, side effects, follies produced, + p/g's.... Anything.

Hey everyone. I'm Danielle i'm new here:) I was diagnosed with PCOS last January and started metformin and provera (to start my period). I just took clomid a couple weeks ago on days 3-7. My doctor said i had like 20 follicles but none were mature. Does anyone know a reason why they didn't mature? So now she took me off of metformin and I just started avandia. And wheneveer I start my next period she's gonna put me on Femara and an hcg shot.

I was Gonal F for the first time last cycle - it was combined with Femara, trigger shot (Ovidrel) and IUI. I'm still in the TWW, but should find out if it worked on Friday!!! Will let you know!

i just conceived on a round of femara and ovidrel, and am now four weeks pregnant and my cm has not changed one bit but i'm definitely pregnant! hang in there, tons of baby dust!

Although, I did not have any side effect while taking the femara, this is the first time I have been late with my cycle in years. What is going on. I have taken 4 hpt's all said neg even the First Response kind today. What is going on did femara push my cycle back? Oh, but I do feel like I'm on my cycle. I was crampy last nite. Gassy the night bfore. Stomach is churning like I'm hungry in the middle of the night and I can't sleep through the night.

we finally got our BFP while on femara,,, never used any other drugs beforehand, started right with femara, my RE really likes it, esp with endo patients.. it was our third cycle of femara, but also used low dose follistim, trigger (novarel) and IUI.. we have male factor, one ovary, endo, pcos and LUFS, ugh! i had three follies and two ruptured our bfp cycle...

Thank you so much for the response. At this time my endometriosis is confined to my right ovary only with no growth in over a year. I have been seeing a fertility dr and just recently switched to a new one who will be monitoring me better. I had some crazy emotional side effects with clomid so I'm hoping I won't with femara. Also, I did not take metformin with clomid so I'm hoping that will help.

t think personally that I am responding to the Ovidrel. Even with the Ovidrel my progesterone test indicated that I did not ovulate. I was wondering if there was anything else out there like Ovidrel that might work better?

I injected myself with Ovidrel last cycle (and got a BFP!!!), and found it to be much easier to do and had less side effects than Novarel, the HCG shot I had taken before. It's easy-peasy! But, you will have to wait about 10 days before POAS in order to get an accurate result. Even though the dosage looks lower than 10,000 units, it metabolises slower than other HCG shots, so it still takes 10 days at least.

t think we will be using Clomid or femara with it. I am going to meet with them next wednesday to learn how to do the injections. Do you think I should be using Clomid with it? What does that do?
