Hi,thank you very much for your replies.Any way I got my period and purchased femara with doctor's prescription.Actually my periods are irregular.Doctor asked me to use femara after i got period.So before period I was normally searched online femara tablets and costs.Now I am using femara which were given by doctor's prescription.In the same hospital pharmacy only I took the femara tablets.Once again thank you.

I took femara after trying clomid unsuccessfully. I conceived on my second cycle of femara. I also had to have a trigger shot since I wasn't ovulating on my own (so you may want to look into that). I also had IUI. Good luck to you!

However, research has suggested there is a higher success rate with Femara vs. Clomid. Along with Femara, we are going to continue the Ovidrel shot. Ask you doctor about this. I was fortunate that my doctor had this handount from some Assisted Reproductive Technology Society organization, as there is little info online because femara is used "off-label" for fertility. As in, it's primary use is for breats cancer. My point is that paying it forward is the best feeling, and I am so glad you and these other ladies found this info valuable.

I came over an online drugstore that offered to sell Letrozole with brandname Letroz / Letoval Tablets . I thought its exclusively sold by Novartis. Sun Pharma is selling it for only $114.40, which is cheaper than the brand novartis is selling(femara). s are doing for me. I have been placed on Femara 2.5 1x a day as well as Aygestin 1x a day. I am staying on this for 3 months. From what I understand there are alot of studies out there suggesting Femara reduces the swelling, etc. After the 3 months once I get my AF back, I will continue on Femara/iui for 3-4 months before moving on to IVF. The combination of drugs puts your body into a "menopausal" state.

A question for you Femara ladies - did you notice any changes in when you ovulated while on Femara? I am starting my first Femara cycle in two days (I am CD1 today, doing Femara CD3-7) and just wondering what to expect. I usually ovulate CD17-19. Does Femara make you O earlier, later, about the same? Thanks for any insight!

First, there are case reports of endometriosis being treated successfully by aromatase inhibitors, which is the class of drug femara is from. Second, femara results in a thicker, better looking endometrium, than clomid. On the other hand, femara is more likely to result in one egg being released, rather than multiple. I don't know of any info regarding clomid making endometriosis coming back more quickly. Why have you been prescribed femara?

This is my first cycle trying to conceive... was on Femara for this one and probably will be for the next two or three. I have been a llittle crampy the last few days, and period is due on the 1st, so I went ahead and took a HPT, though it still could be a little too early. My period cramps usually start a couple of days before my AF actually comes, and the cramps are here a little early. Still no bleeding but booooo!

I did find that the side effects of Femara were far less severe than the Clomid and, unlike Clomid, Femara does not affect your CM or thin out your uterine lining.

we did combine it with femara as well.. did the injections every other day... and femara daily for 5 days.. the shots are painless, and very easy to use! we used the company IVPcare and the cost seemed to be way better than a lot of places, i cant' remember if it was $200 something or $300 something.. but i know it can run up to 800 or so.. they have some plan if your insurance doesn't cover injectables that makes them more affordable.. Have you tried IUI??

I have been taking Femara the last 3 month, I also take metformin and esterdiol since my lining does not get thick enough on it's own. I have not gotten pregnant yet, but femara has worked great for getting my follicels ready. I have 3-4 follicles each month. I have PCOS and DH's morphology is on the low side, so there could be many reasons why I'm not pregnant yet. Good luck!

d like to discuss trying femara for this 6th cycle instead of clomid since it thinned my lining so much for this cycle. and got pregnant on that (+ follistim) and IUI , it was our third round of femara.. like everyone said, the nice thing about femara is the side effects are few and tolerable, it doens't thin your lining (which actually makes miscarriage rates lower with femara) and it actually improved my CM! i have endo and pcos as well, and it can actually be used as an endo suppressive drug, so thats why we choose it initially! good luck!

So I am getting ready to start Femara on my next cycle...Clomid not working. Anyway I was wondering who is on or has been on it and when and how much did you have to take? So, I took Femara for the first time this cycle - 10 pills on CD7 (he'd rather do them on CD3, but since my cycles have been running long, he took a chance).
