Hi been ttc for 18 month with no luck every ovulation test i have done in 3 months have been negative i am getting tested for endometriosis

ovulation usually occurs mid cycle if u have natural regular cycles. but if uv been on BC for so long ur body may take a some time to return back to its normal status.

Anyone get pregnant using femara/letrozole after being given unexplained infertility diagnosis? How many months did you take it before you got your positive? Me: 28 Hubby: 30 Sperms analysis perfect, laparoscopy perfect, all tests for ovulation and ultrasounds looked perfect. Trying since 2012 no pregnancy yet This is my 2nd cycle on femara, next ovulation expected on 1/14. If 3rd cycle not successful, will do iui with femara anyone else done this and got pregnant? ?

For induction of ovulation, drugs like clomiphene and femara can be used. If these do not help then gonadotropins can be used. Consult an infertility expert for an opinion. If you are not planning to do IVF, then immediate ovulation induction/IUI after surgery is probably better before the endometriosis returns. I think Femara is a great choice for ovulation induction for women with endometriosis. Of course, you should discuss this with your own infertility doctor.

I took femara after trying clomid unsuccessfully. I conceived on my second cycle of femara. I also had to have a trigger shot since I wasn't ovulating on my own (so you may want to look into that). I also had IUI. Good luck to you!

Treatment of endometriosis will depend on its severity. Consult an infertility expert. Do not get disheartened as treatment for infertility may take a few years to give results. Hope this helps.

ve been charting my temperature too and it went up a little today, but not as much as usual after ovulation. If anyone out there has taken Femara or knows what to expect, I would really appreciate your thought and/or advice. Thank you so much!

Hi, Typically ovulation monitoring is carried out along with ovulation stimulating drugs like Letrozole. The monitoring can be done through external sonography but infertility specialists prefer vaginal sonography to find out the exact date when you ovulate and also the size of follicle(s).

Unexplained infertility for 1.5 years. I am not sure what could be the reason for my infertility , it might be endo but they didn't do a laparo for me yet. If anyone can tell me what other options do I have if Clomid failed?? So what worked for you ?

On the first try of iui with donor, they did it without femara and the trigger shot. But they informed me that they missed my ovulation and decided to put me on femara and on the trigger to avoid missing it again/ and having a better control of it. On the second try of iui +donor+femara+trigger shot: they informed that I might ovulated before the trigger shot because they notice that the follicules were too big .

I feel like the Goldilocks of infertility) my RE put me on 5mg of Femara (letrozole) CD 3-7 this month. Per my Clearblue Easy Fertility monitor, it's been game on with the hubs this week. The 2WW starts this weekend. Clomid side effects were awful (hot flashes, mood swings, nausea). Not too bad with Femara - just some hot flashes. I'd love to know if you have success with Femara. Hi Everyone - finally had my consult with the OB yesterday after my month long hormonal profile! He concluded that I have some form of ovarian dysfunction (NOT infertility), due to my late ovulation, long cycles and lacking CM. He also said that my hormone levels look great (meaning there isn't anything chemically going on) EXCEPT for my DHEA levels. He said that those were a little low at 95; he'd like to see them in the 200's.

We tried clomid for several cycles, then switched to femara. On the 2nd cycle of femara, it worked! I am 17 weeks pregnant. So I really think the monitoring was important in my case. Good luck!

I have had two blood tests, on the 21st day of my cycle, both have come back as showing no ovulation. Now this is where I am confused. I have always had regular periods, until last moth when my period was about a week late. My doctor has said that there is no way of telling if my 2nd blood test was accurate or not because of the lateness of my last period. Now that my cycles are messed up I could be in this position every month. So how am I meant to know if I ovulated or not?

I took my last Femara pill on October 18. I bought some ovulation predictor tests from the Dollar Tree and took the first on October 20th. I was positive but I wondered if the Femara caused a false positive so I took another the next day and it was negative. I tested today and there was one line but it was so faint I could barely see it. Should I have gone with another brand?

I took Femara and got pregnant when also doing injections. I had unexplained infertility. It appeared my eggs were not maturing on their own and I kept getting cysts. I am now 19 weeks pregnant. My treatment was femara, injection for 3 days, HCG shot and IUI. Your doctor will find a treatment that will work for you. Keep your hopes up. I get positive OPKs every cycle, never miss a period, get ovulation pains, EWCM every cycle, charted my temps for two months and it showed the normal rising of temps after the + OPK and then dropping with my period. My doc said that because my periods are irregular in length and ovulation day with a short LP, he may (if tests come back normal) want to start me on Clomid. I guess I don't understand how Clomid regulates your period if you are indeed ovulating.

Hello, has anyone not had much success with clomid to help ovulation so tried a different drug i.e letrozole(femura) instead.

Have asked before but want to hear of any positive stories using letrozole(femara) to help with ovulation, this drug is primarily a drug used to help with breast cancer and is still in research stage for fertility problems, my dr is talking with other gp's because is not happy to prescribe it to me.

My GYN has withdrawn blood from me to check my Estrogen level and I'm hoping that this means that I'll be able to determine when I'm ovulating. I have always had a hard time determining when I'm ovulating due to changes in my menstraul cycles. For example, I had my period this month on June 3rd but last month I got my period on May 8th.

I have had a blocked tube removed that they think was causing my infertility. Does anyone know about/ been through this yet. I am 36 next month and want to gat on with it. Has anyone done clomid and iui or even just tried naturally?

I just finished my 5th cycle of clomid (waiting for af to show..got negative beta on Wed.). My lining was so thin last cycle (4.2 on day of trigger) that my RE took me off the clomid. I asked about doing femara for this next cycle but she doesn't use it in her practice anymore because she had low success rates with it.
