Avatar m tn My 32 month old has been followed by a pediatrician for short stature (~5th percentile) and a persistent open fontanelle for the past 8 months. My son has more recently also been diagnosed with high myopia (approx -7 in both eyes). I have been concerned with no testing done for the fontanelle to rule out causes. The ophthalmologist has confirmed that high myopia like this in a child this age is very unusual and usually seen in a child with a syndrome or who was premature (he was not).
Avatar f tn From birth there were few other symptoms of this person like short stature, squint, small hands, legs, swelling like lower body, large forehead(all operated corrected stature, eyes so not noticeable except weight gain on lower belly). All kinds of chromosal genetic testing done it came back negative for any other conditions except thyroid which was self diagnosed as doctors were saying everything was alright.
Avatar f tn t undergone puberty yet. Still should I prefer this surgery? My short stature makes me feel inferior and worthless often.
Avatar m tn gov/media/75520/download Personally, I do think it is hard for boys to be of short stature and advanced bone age can have other implications later on. I'd consider trying it but that is totally a personal choice. I do not like to give my kids medication but I saw the impact on my nieces lives to become 'more normal' and it was a positive.
788859 tn?1236734548 I had an unsuccessful IUI last cycle(blood test and HPT showed negative). This cycle just doing Femara and timed IC. No Sonos for me this cycle since Femara has a low % of multiples. My only concern is being abel to catch my ovulation at the perfiect time! For some reason I have trust issues with the home ovu tests! What's up with that? Oh well. Seems like know matter what I do I find something to worry about. Its absolutley draining. blueyes34: Congrats! I love hearing success stories!
Avatar f tn I took Femara and got pregnant when also doing injections. I had unexplained infertility. It appeared my eggs were not maturing on their own and I kept getting cysts. I am now 19 weeks pregnant. My treatment was femara, injection for 3 days, HCG shot and IUI. Your doctor will find a treatment that will work for you. Keep your hopes up. I remember choosing to not be stressed out about whether I was going to get a positive or not and it worked for me. Good Luck!!!
Avatar n tn I am a mosaic turners female and it is possible to not know. I was late in getting period and had short stature( treated with protropin) also have madelungs deformity. the person above is right. if no period ever, get checked. certain things are time sensitive. I am now 5'6 but would have been 4'11 without protropin.

Avatar m tn I am suffering extreme depression and its the ONLY thing i need, i was always short since childhood and didnt take my short stature seriously. But at 16 my height was 5ft3inches.(161cm) (right now, iam 17 and my height is 5ft4,163cm)) My dads height is 5ft8, my moms height is 5ft1. I have many famliy relatives above 6ft, my grandfather was 6ft2 and my uncle is 6ft1. But when i reached an endocrinologist, he took some tests and i was normal.
Avatar f tn Last month, I had no side effects, but this month I did have a headache for the first two days. But in general, I like femara a whole lot better than clomid! Best of luck to you!
359668 tn?1201448273 So, feel reassured the chromosome analysis was normal. You and your husband are both of short stature, so no surprise the baby appears the same. Best regards, Dr.
374593 tn?1257879950 So i just started femara yesterday (cd3) and AF is now totally gone it seems! is that normal? sometimes i'll get a little break for night on day three, but it alllways returns the next morning and now its nowhere to be found! Not sure if this is more likely from my recent lap (3 weeks ago) or from the femara? anyone have any ideas? Do you think that it will affect my uterine lining this month if AF was only around for a mild 2.5 days? Thanks!
Avatar n tn Suggest replacing his milk with Pediasure, milkshakes (milk and ice cream blended), or yogurt smoothies (yogurt, ice cream, or frozen fruit-if he accepts it- blended) for additional calories and protein for weight gain. Hoped this helped.

Avatar f tn I just finished taking Clomid for three months and no pregancy. I had a lap and am going to start taking Femara to try and concieve. Hopefully this works. I am just wondering if anyone else has taken Femara and what it was like ie side effects/pregnancy?! Thanks.
551885 tn?1300383822 watched what he is doing already he said to go baby proof our house ASAP cause he is WAY early with everything he is doing. This may actually be attributed to his short stature since he can balance better and get around easier. But all in all he is very healthy and that is all we really care about :) I like that he is doing all this stuff but I really want him to stay a baby for as long as he can. I am exhausted as it is now and he is just starting to crawl...
215752 tn?1278004771 This time it will be the short cycle cause with the regulaer one we had no luck.During the first time my hair thinned out a lot, specially on the crown area. And i'm afraid it will happen again. My re said that maybe no and that the reason for it is stress but i don't think so cause i started losing hair when i started the injections.I found online that his happens when the ovaries produce many eggs thus producing a higher level of testosterone. Has this happened to anyone?
Avatar n tn My husband and I were on Clomid and Ovidrel for the past 4 months with no luck. I recently went in for a diagnostic test to see if my tubes are blocked. Everything looks great so I am relieved...sort of. I feel like if I had a reason why I am not getting pregnant, this would be easier. My husband and I had 2 miscarriages in the last 2 years so we are worried that when it does happen again, we will find ourselves in teh same situation.
Avatar f tn After 2 cycles of clomid my lining was thining (went from 7mm to 5mm) which made it very difficult for implantation to occure. She said that Femera only stays in your system for a short period of time and doesn't thin your lining.
Avatar n tn It was only confirmed with a lapascopy. The markers continued to stay around 80 for the six months I was taking chemo. I went off all meds in Jan. Since mid Feb to mid Apr my markers went to 180. I started Femara in early Apr. After one month, marker went down to 170. About the same time I started Femara, I have constant sever pain in my right rib area and now pain in my lower right skull. Bone scan was negative.
509981 tn?1210965313 Hi. I understand your concern. When my doc first prescribed this, I of course went to the internet for info since she didn't provide any and I came across a lot of information about birth defects. Like Tina said, it gets processed very quickly by your body and will not still be around when implantation occurs. I was sure to monitor my temps and also use HPT's to make sure I definitely wasn't pregnant before starting another round.
652899 tn?1284047173 I am due for my first iui in sep ..am on letrozole ( femara) days 5-9..
Avatar f tn d take on CD 3-7 or so), and then of course there are injectables, which are much stronger than clomid and femara. Those all help the follicles grow, and that can often help with a short luteal phase, as well, because it usually leads to higher progesterone levels after O. However, you could also ask for a progesterone supplement to take after O has been confirmed to lengthen the luteal phase. Is there an RE in your area? If so, I would suggest seeing and RE instead of an ob/gyn.
Avatar f tn There is something that runs in the women of my family. I only know as far back as my great great grandmother, who had red hair and short stature(about 5'2). My grandmother is just slightly taller, with red hair and a very gradual weight gain. My mother is 5'3, red hair, she has started to gain weight and she has a hypothyroid problem. Like my mom who suffered from cold hands and feet all her life I also suffer from it, which is a symptom of hypothyroid.
652407 tn?1300737199 Hmm... not too sure. I don't know wether you have seen it, but IBM & National Geographic has some sort of campain called "The human gene project"? You write in, they send you a package with a mouth swab, you swab the inside of your mouth and they add it to their database and see if they can correlate you to other entries in the database and possibly trace your genetic origins. The problem tho, is that your genetics is a mixture between your mom and dad's.
