754647 tn?1233784665 t work I still bled for another month so I call him and he doubled my dosage well for three days I got so sick and started bleeding heavier. Called him again today and he takes me off prevera and puts me on prempro. I dont understand why he is putting me on all this hormone medication. I am afraid it will afect me getting pregnat or worse. Has anyone been through this and will it harm me.
Avatar f tn Yes i did. It took me awhile because I had fibroids and decided to remove them. Once the doctor gave me the okay after healing, I was pregnant right away. I knew i was pregnant before it was confirmed.
Avatar f tn I just finished taking Clomid for three months and no pregancy. I had a lap and am going to start taking Femara to try and concieve. Hopefully this works. I am just wondering if anyone else has taken Femara and what it was like ie side effects/pregnancy?! Thanks.
788859 tn?1236734548 I had an unsuccessful IUI last cycle(blood test and HPT showed negative). This cycle just doing Femara and timed IC. No Sonos for me this cycle since Femara has a low % of multiples. My only concern is being abel to catch my ovulation at the perfiect time! For some reason I have trust issues with the home ovu tests! What's up with that? Oh well. Seems like know matter what I do I find something to worry about. Its absolutley draining. blueyes34: Congrats! I love hearing success stories!
Avatar n tn My husband and I were on Clomid and Ovidrel for the past 4 months with no luck. I recently went in for a diagnostic test to see if my tubes are blocked. Everything looks great so I am relieved...sort of. I feel like if I had a reason why I am not getting pregnant, this would be easier. My husband and I had 2 miscarriages in the last 2 years so we are worried that when it does happen again, we will find ourselves in teh same situation.
Avatar f tn Hi! The medication you were given is a therapy for yeast infections. Yeast is NOT a sexually transmitted disease, but can cause discharge and irritation. It won't help your periods though. For irregular periods, there are generally two good ways to go depending upon if you are ready for babies or not. If not, oral contraceptive pills can regulate your cycles nicely and protect your uterus for the future as well as reducing the blood loss and clotting.
Avatar f tn I have been taking femara for a year now and I too had shots for the carpal tunnel. They helped a lot but at night I sleep with a brace and a quilted sleeve on my right arm because I also have Lymphodemia in my right upper arm. Everyone is diffrent in how the meds work hope you find what works for you...
Avatar f tn I started a week late, I had horrible cramps and bled very heavily. These symptoms were only for the first two days of my period but I haven't hurt so bad and been so sick since high school! I start 100 mgs of Clomid today and I am scared to see what my next period will be. Do I need to make an appointment to see my dr or is this common for women taking Clomid??
652899 tn?1284047173 I am due for my first iui in sep ..am on letrozole ( femara) days 5-9..
Avatar n tn I have used clomid for conception but to no avail. How else can i achieve pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I took Femara this cycle and will be doing a single IUI probably within the next 4-5 days. I had a sort of of odd cycle last month (w/Femara but no IUI), where I spotted for 3-4 days before any real flow. I ovulated on cd15 and had a 30 day cycle if you don't count the spotting (usually its no more than 28 days). My RE says to start using OPKs on cd 11, but I'm concerned I should start earlier. Could I have miscounted and in fact the day I think was cd1 was actually a bit later?
Avatar f tn The doctor have me on femara for three months. Is femara supposed to make your stomach cramp really bad?
Avatar f tn ) My doctor believes that the fibroids will continue to grow (most likely, but they are growing slowly) and could become cancerous(not usual for fibroids) or necrotic. He says while in for the laparoscopy for the ovarian cyst and ovary, I could have my uterus out and leave the left ovary. But he says if I wait, will later have to have a cut-down instead, which is of course much longer in recovery. I'm seeing my D.O.
384150 tn?1399904816 m very surprised to hear that Femara has been used; as Alikat mentioned, it is prescribed for breast cancer. My mother took it a few years ago for her treatment. (Yet another reason for my hesitation over taking drugs that may affect my hormones:( Have you heard of taking Vitamin C? It's supposed to improve fertility in women with a shortened luteal phase. LOL I've always hated the length of my periods - 5 to 7 days - so does this mean it's a good thing?!
374593 tn?1257879950 t find any studies that say it increases conception rates, rather it may just make you asymptomatic during the treatment time. Do you ever use Femara for fertility purposis in Endometriosis patients - even though its blacklabel for this, it seems that it would make good sense? Thanks!
795248 tn?1250686616 This will be my 2nd iui and this will be my third cycle on femara. I cycle on femara with iui, one cycle just femara and this cycle on femara with hopefully iui around the 30th, 1st or 2nd(weekend). We have been ttc for over 2yrs and have unexplained infertility. All of our blood work and tests and u/s are perfect. Our sperm is perfect and eggs and uterus look great. I was just looking for others that are going thru the same thing so we could support each other!!
Avatar n tn I have been on clomid for five months and i am still not pregnant! What should i do next!
Avatar f tn I am 51 and haven't had a period for 5 months. Three years ago I had UAE for fibroids causing severe bleeding. Suddenly, several weeks ago I started having burning pain which sometimes went into my lower back. It was discovered I had a 7 cm fibroid. I have no bleeding at all this time. My GYN wants to do a vaginal hysterectomy but I was wondering if I could have another UAE instead. OR...
725941 tn?1297882209 I took Femara days 3-7, which would have been January 22-26th. As for when I usually ovulate that's a tough one....I had lots of EWCM from Fb 14-17...I was put on Femara because I had stopped ovulating so I have no idea when to expect my period now. The last one I got before I started the pills was on a 42 day cycle. Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn a small cyst was found in addition to 2 fibroids and some fluid in the uterus. I was told also that I could monitor the cyst for a few months, but my Dr. did want to check on the fibroids since, after menopause they really aren't usually "there".. So , in my case menopause didn't do a thing to the fibroids. Now, they were small and she actually just left them. But usually it is a concern in patients our age ...
318181 tn?1336443496 Before this site, I never really knew there were so many types of meds out there depending on your situation. I HOPE AND PRAY for BFP for you all !!!!!!!!
Avatar n tn Never has been proven it was caused by Femara, but better safe than sorry. Because of my risk for clots, Tamoxifen would not be a choice for me. I have only been on Aromasin for about two weeks, so I can't really give you an accurate evaluation of it just yet. One of my doctors told me you can't really tell if any of these drugs are working, however, until you've taken them at least three months.
Avatar f tn A question for you Femara ladies - did you notice any changes in when you ovulated while on Femara? I am starting my first Femara cycle in two days (I am CD1 today, doing Femara CD3-7) and just wondering what to expect. I usually ovulate CD17-19. Does Femara make you O earlier, later, about the same? Thanks for any insight!
Avatar f tn This is my second month on femara. I am on cd15 and my follies are growing so slow - only 13.5mm! (Last month they were 17mm on cd12!). Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Also, what is too slow? Is there a day by which your RE would just stop the cycle and induce AF? I am just worried to get prego so late in my cycle. The 2 miscarriages I had were when I ovulated late (but were natural cycles, no meds).
