last month was my first month and femara. I had the same spotting, and my cycle was also 30 days. (usually mine is 35 though, so 30 was better for me). . . the spotting bothered me too, I kept hoping that it was implantation bleeding. But no, finally af came full force. This is my second month on it. I o'd the same day this day as last month, so expect the cycle will be 30 days again. Good luck with your IUI!!
Cd12 went for a an ultrasound, he said I didnt respond to the femara and wanted to up dosage to 7.5. My lining was measuring 6mm. I had started spotting brown that morning.
He told me to start the femara that day and he put down that, that day would be cd5? Im still spotting.
so my questions are why would he consider my original cd12 as cd5 and start a new round of femara without a period? If that makes sense. Also why would I be spotting brown? Wouldn't that make my lining even more thin?
I started spotting April 14th (day 2 after 5th day of femara) til 16th. Heavy period 17th and 18th. Medium on 19th and light on the 20th. Spotting a bit today. I did take an ovulation test tonight...faint line which is still considered negative. A little confused when I should expect that ovulation. Any ideas?
Hi! This is my first time posting, so please excuse me if I don't use all of the correct lingo! I'm on my first cycle of femara (days3-7). Today is cycle day 11. On cycle day 9, I took an OPK and had a medium faint line. On cycle day 10 I had a temperature spike-- which I thought was a fluke because I've had a sore throat. Then again today, my temperature is still up (CD11) and when I took an OPK the line was even fainter than the other day.
I took Femara this cycle and will be doing a single IUI probably within the next 4-5 days. I had a sort of of odd cycle last month (w/Femara but no IUI), where I spotted for 3-4 days before any real flow. I ovulated on cd15 and had a 30 day cycle if you don't count the spotting (usually its no more than 28 days).
My RE says to start using OPKs on cd 11, but I'm concerned I should start earlier. Could I have miscounted and in fact the day I think was cd1 was actually a bit later?
On the first try of iui with donor, they did it without femara and the trigger shot. But they informed me that they missed my ovulation and decided to put me on femara and on the trigger to avoid missing it again/ and having a better control of it.
On the second try of iui +donor+femara+trigger shot: they informed that I might ovulated before the trigger shot because they notice that the follicules were too big .
She told me that take the meds same time everyday for seven days and then wait for my period and then call as soon as i start bleeding(no matter if its spotting or like a gush) she wants me to call. She also told me that after i call she would put me on some other meds to make me ouvlate so i said okay...what do you think my chances are the first time around?

If you were my patient, the first thing I would do is to (after checking the pregnancy test which I ALWAYS do ) treat you with 5 days of Prometrium. This medication should start your period and "clean out" your uterus. Then, I would start you on Metformin and Femara.
Greetings: I have hepatitis C and am taking 2.5 Femara. My oncologist and my Hep C doc are at odds about the amount i should take. My Hep C doc thinks i should only be taking 1/2 that amount. I'm at a loss as to what to do. I recently had a liver biopsy which showed no scarring and have had Hep C for almost 30 years. I am worried that the Femara may be doing untold damage to my liver. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
I have been on tamoxifen and currently on femara. I was having major depression and weight gain with the femara so I took a one month break from the meds (with dr approval). Within a few days, I felt mentally and physically more like my old self (pre-cancer). Unfortunately, I cannot stay off the medicine due to having lymph node involvement. However, during week 3 of no meds, I noticed a bloody discharge one night and then had a light period for the next several days.
Has anyone used Femara or Clomid and a "boost" of injectables and gotten a BFP?
I will be doing 5mg of Femara CD 4 - 8 and then 150IU's of Menopur CD 9 - 11. We'll go in on CD 12 to check the follies and then hopefully proceed with IUI. I am hoping for more than 1 follicle. With Clomid and Femara I usually only have one follicle. It is usually nice and big though.
