Avatar n tn However, since the accidental discovery of an interaction between the calcium channel blocker, felodipine, with grapefruit juice,1 it has now become evident that grapefruit juice has the potential to alter the plasma concentrations of many medications when they are taken by mouth. In some cases, this may result in undesirable clinical effects of medications.

Avatar n tn In June '08 I was sitting watching TV when my left side from my head down to my leg became stiff and numb. Went to the ER and checked by 5 neuronogists, had scans, MRI & other tests. Their consensus was a brain event in the rt. thalemus. For 2 & 1/2 yrs I was living with a 5 out of 10 sensation but last Dec. '10 as I was having dinner, the sensation became worse like an 8 out of 10 and I'm having increased trouble moving my whole left side.
Avatar m tn Coadministration with the hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS3/4A protease inhibitors, boceprevir and telaprevir, may increase the plasma concentrations and pharmacologic effects of calcium channel blockers, especially the dihydropyridines (e.g., amlodipine, felodipine, nicardipine, nifedipine, nisoldipine). The mechanism involves inhibition of intestinal and hepatic CYP450 3A4, the isoenzyme primarily responsible for the metabolic clearance of most calcium channel blockers.
Avatar f tn I am active, never sick but use eyedrops for Glaucoma, very slightly elevated blood pressure for which I take a mild 5 mg. Felodipine tab and vytorin for slightly elevated cholestrol. My chol. ratio with meds is 2.3. The last week I have had a great slowing of my pulse. For three days it didn't get over 42 and on one day if got down as low as 37 and then 38 and stayed there all day. My blood pressure has been about the same as it always is....

Avatar n tn I'm a 38 year old male with a 16 or so year history of "noticeable" PVCs. They weren't particuarly frequent (maybe a few per hour) but annoying. My doctor tried beta blockers (Toprol, Atenolol) and a calcium channel blocker (cardizem), none of which had any effect on my PVCs. ECGs and an echocardiogram were all normal. I eventually learned to live with them and for the most part ignore them. About a year ago I was experiencing some chest pain so I had a cardiac workup.
Avatar m tn I have been prescribed 10mg of lisinopril, 5mg of felodipine daily and then a few visits to a very enthusiastic GP he has put me on 2x 95mg metoprolol succinate daily because I had a high heart rate in all my readings. My BP and heart rate now seems to be okay when I get it checked but this seems like a very high dose of metoprolol and I'm getting worried it's going to cause me some damage in the long term.
Avatar m tn ve been on the meds for almost 8 yrs of which 3 yrs of that serving as a Drill Sgt. I can also deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan using Felodipine and was curious as to what harm would 61 days of Ranger School do.

Avatar m tn So very tired, and insomnia and everything. and forgot to take my pm dose of lamitrogine. I had a .... rash - and above the neck! but it was like that sunburn rash I used to get years and years ago, so I decided after copious amounts of research on the internet that I would keep it at 75mg for a couple of days and go up to 100. Because I am not taking lithium or anything else that makes me sleep or put on weight. Just no.

2091106 tn?1332817998 I'm calling it a rash, but I don't really know what it is. I took a picture of it and downloaded it as my profile picture. It itches and is a redish color. I have had it for a couple months and it hasn't gone away. I have been using Triamcinolone Acetonide cream from someone, but it hasn't helped. I don't have any money to see a doctor so any help would be great.

Avatar f tn My 13 month old son has a rash on his hands, feet, & legs, I tried to look in his mouth and didn't see anything, but couldn't keep his mouth open long.. He also has some mild redness on his butt & has not been eating well. There is nothing on his stomach or neck and only a few little red spots around his mouth.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else got a red rash covering there belly?
Avatar f tn I am 39 weeks 5 days... I have developed a rash. I have eczema normally in the winter / change of seasons, but this is CRAZY. The doctor said they didn't think it was PUPP, but I am COVERED. I have tried the steroid cream the Dr gave me, calamine lotion, oatmeal bath, benedryl (which knocks me out cold for hours), witch hazel, cold compress and even baking soda paste oh and coconut oil. Nothing seems to ease the itch and if it does in one place it comes out in another. Any suggestions?!
Avatar f tn Over the past couple of days, I've developed a rash. It's right where my bra hits, so underneath my breasts and in between them. It's annoying more than anything. I'm already top heavy before getting pregnant, probably about 36F, so on top of the girls hurting with pregnancy, they are now itchy. Also, no bra is not an option. Nothing has changed other than I'm now pregnant. No changes to laundry soap or bath soap or anything. Suggestions to help?!
Avatar f tn Is it normal to get a rash on my lower stomach? It itches like crazy and I have little red bumps all along the bottom of my Stomach :/ I haven't ate anything different, took any medication, or used any new lotions or perfume.
