I am active, never sick but use eyedrops for Glaucoma, very slightly elevated blood pressure for which I take a mild 5 mg. Felodipine tab and vytorin for slightly elevated cholestrol. My chol. ratio with meds is 2.3.

In June '08 I was sitting watching TV when my left side from my head down to my leg became stiff and numb. Went to the ER and checked by 5 neuronogists, had scans, MRI & other tests. Their consensus was a brain event in the rt. thalemus. For 2 & 1/2 yrs I was living with a 5 out of 10 sensation but last Dec. '10 as I was having dinner, the sensation became worse like an 8 out of 10 and I'm having increased trouble moving my whole left side.

It's unbelievable that I made so many mistakes just writing down my problems, the worst is I forgot I entered this and entered again tonight. I've been having problems for 7 years until diagnosed. I came home after a day with prescriptions of Clopidogrel 75mg, Metoprolol tartrate 50 mg, Acetylsalicylic acid 75 mg and Simvastatin 40 mg (my cholesterol was 200 ).Since then I never felt good. Now and then I am having jaw pains. I had been to the emergency twice during the first week, but everything was found to be OK. Sometimes the jaw pain is accompanied with long breaths and some tightness in the chest. These may go away upon rest for an hour, but come back any time.
I'm a 38 year old male with a 16 or so year history of "noticeable" PVCs. They weren't particuarly frequent (maybe a few per hour) but annoying. My doctor tried beta blockers (Toprol, Atenolol) and a calcium channel blocker (cardizem), none of which had any effect on my PVCs. ECGs and an echocardiogram were all normal. I eventually learned to live with them and for the most part ignore them.

I have been prescribed 10mg of lisinopril, 5mg of felodipine daily and then a few visits to a very enthusiastic GP he has put me on 2x 95mg metoprolol succinate daily because I had a high heart rate in all my readings.
My BP and heart rate now seems to be okay when I get it checked but this seems like a very high dose of metoprolol and I'm getting worried it's going to cause me some damage in the long term.

It is equally unknown whether MG can cause silent PID or only with symptoms like low abdominal pain. Regardless of cause, for most PID the symptoms are mild, not sufficiento to be any kind of "medical emergency".
I continue to have burning at the base of my scrotum and penis 9 months after contact. I thought that MG could spread to other parts of the body especially through oral sex.
But my problem is some of my other symptoms are not related to MG. I have problems walking, my giat is wide, I have a Babinski reflex, I have horrible involuntary muscle movements in my legs at night and problems with disfunctional bowel and bladder problems. My doctor ran another blood test and it showed twice a very high fatty acid level or VLCFA. But DNA test did not show ALD. My doctor started me on Zanaflex for the leg muscle problems when she thought I had ALD.
Hi there. Ocular MG is a disease of the neuromuscular junction resulting in muscle weakness and fatigability. This is an autoimmune disease where anomalous antibodies are produced against the acetylcholine receptors in voluntary muscles. The most common presentation is double vision and eyelid drooping or ptosis wherea the pupil is spared. Diplopia is seen when MG affects a single extraocular muscle in one eye, limiting eye movement and leading to double vision.
Another conversion chart says that 60 mg of Armour is equivalent of 75 mcg of T4. For the latter, that would have been 120 mg of Armour instead of 90. So, just be aware that you most likely will need an increase, for that reason as well continuing to have symptoms.
Another couple of things to consider is that any med with T3 in it is best taken by splitting the dose in half and taking 1/2 in the morning and half in the afternoon.
