Avatar n tn When my chest started to hurt I also had a some pain in my wrists. It was hard to breath but the harder I breathed the more my chest hurt. I started to feel like I was going to throw up. I went to the bathroom invade I did throw up but nothing happened. I went back to bed and sat down, my chest was still hurting and it was hard to breathe. I'm not sure what this was. I have never had a anxiety attack before but I'm kinda leaning towards thinking that was it.
Avatar f tn Index fingers turn white during these episodes and the numbness/tingling lasts up to 8 hours. My orthopedic physician took xrays of my hands and wrists and found nothing significant; after examining me, he suggested it could be corpal turnnel syndrome. I was scheduled to take a GNC Nerve conduction but didn't take the test for fear of the pain.
595125 tn?1219834270 What you descrive is a panic attack when you have this intense fear, then you become afraid of the fear and so on until it becomes a vicious circle. You came to the right place! You should browze a lot of these threads as you will quickly see that you are not alone in your fear and anxiety and you will perhaps learn from how others have coped with it.
Avatar f tn Do you bend your wrists when you're sleeping? You could try keeping your hands flat under a pillow or investing in wrist braces.
Avatar n tn I am so worried because I have 2 swollen lymph nodes on one side of my neck, and I had a fever 2 weeks ago and one of my wrists hurt. I have 2-4 pimples on the same side of my neck and in my hairline. They itch. I have seen 3 doctors who tell me I have no risk, but i'm so worried I couldve picked it up somewhere. I cant even smile or live with the fear.
Avatar n tn Whenever my wrists are in extension and bear the load of my bodyweight the top part at the joint has a sharp pain. My wrists aren't very mobile, so I'm thinking it could be in part due to that. However, both of my wrists are equally immobile/inflexible, but only the right one has the dorsal pain (which leads me to believe it's a stability or strength issue in that wrist). My main question is what kind of exercises should I do to fix this pain?
Avatar f tn There is no way you are going to get pregnant using a restroom. How old are you and how long has this fear of pregnancy been going on? Do you see a psychologist?

411459 tn?1222443775 My hands still are weak but they assured me this is common because of how much pregnancy takes out of you. The being tired and obsessive worry is what I would think depression/anxiety I went through a lot of the same things. I still worry something is wrong everyonce in awhile but I'm on effexor xr and it's helped a lot. You may need to go to a thearpist to sort things out and understand what is happening.
Avatar m tn I was content with that result even though it was non conclusive, but that very day when I left the hospital I started getting the joint pain in my knee joints and it slowly progressed to the rest of my body. Im very afraid even though I wore protection the fear has consumed my life, and the joint pain is still here. Im very unfamiliar with anxiety symptoms but familiar with acute hiv symptoms, even though I dont have any other symptoms.
Avatar m tn I've been experiencing some strange stuff lately and have found my self obsessing over it! I'll tell you a short history of it all. On August 17th, I went camping with family for a few days in Michigan when my upper right abdomen started to burn. Having a history of reflux, I assumed it was some sort of related issue and started taking OTC prilosec. Life went on for a couple days but, by day three, I had what I now know was a full blown anxiety attack.
Avatar n tn Is it your fingers, wrists, thumbs? What part of the hand? If it's the wrist it could be carpal tunnel. Do you have numbness and tingling? These are all signs of carpal tunnel. If it's joint pain, I would see a rheumatologist. They can test you for what type of arthritis, if any.
Avatar n tn Sometimes writing with a pen or pencil for long periods of time will do it. Athletics where you have to put a lot of pressure on your wrist can cause it. If you are doing any of these things regularly, stop doing it. Bandage up your hand and declare you can't do that for a while. Computer labs will offer a little cushion where you can rest your hands while you work. You can take notes with a recorder. You can opt out of gym class for a while. Carry your books in a backpack.

Avatar m tn I have flexibility issues in almost all of my joints (Knees, elbow, wrist, ankle). Coincidentally, all the joints in the right side of my body are worse. I cannot squat as the back of my feet cannot touch my butt, my hand cannot touch my shoulder, cannot do pushup as wrist will hurt a lot. I have done xrays but doctor said my xrays are fine. Went through physiotherapy but joints flexibility does not improve no matter how much i stretched.
Avatar f tn My grandma used to say she was a graceful klutz. I fear I am too. Most of them have been tripping, falling on ice or wet surfaces. Some have been just walking and my ankle twist and I fall. The most recent one my boot got stuck in the stirrup of a saddle. I also find myself not able to walk a straight line. I’m always walking into walls and door frames. I’ve had MRI’s and CT scans done. Nothing ever shows up. How do I get to the bottom of this? My back is alway in pain due to falling.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know what the standards of care are, for medical conditions, and how to locate them? I am undiagnosed for 13 years... 1-Constant aching in my sacroiliac area. 2-Severe leg pain, and swelling and pitting edema in both legs, when I stand or walk. 3-Feeling sick and very tired, expecially after exertion. 4-Swelling and redness of my nailfolds when walking, which now has become constantly red. RECENT SYMPTOM: Pitting edema in my wrists and abnormal immunoglobulin tests...
Avatar m tn welcome Mav I suffer from fear of germs resulting in handwashing obsessively and also fear of getting poisened from trees, poisoness plants etc. I do also have obsessive thoughts if I dont do something someone will die that I know. Avatar f tn (he was a bully) ever since then (3 or4 yrs ago) my wrists are super sensitive. If i try and do anything that puts any sort of pressure on my wrists they hurt for a month maybe. Could this possibly be Tendonitis?
Avatar f tn I have had this problem for about 3 years, both my wrists are stiff and pop. This hurts really bad. The pain wasn't caused by an injury but I think crocheting may have been the problem, I've been to the doctor when the pain first started and they took x rays, said nothing was wrong and sent me on my way, but it still hurts and now it is worse. What is wrong and what can I do about it?
620004 tn?1227825306 I am also experiencing pain in my neck that is almost like I cannot move my neck a certain way or it becomes extremly painful. I am having a pain that is stinging in my wrists also, and sometimes in other parts of my body. Sometimes my muscles hurt as though I cannot move them, almost as is someone is slithering them with a knife. The other night I was laying in bed asleep and was awoke by a pain in my hip that felt as though someone had just shattered my hip bone.
