Avatar n tn I too struggle with panic attacks and the fear of them returning. Have you talked to your dr about this? You might want to consider talking with a therapist. I do know that if you let the fear take over your mind it is only going to get worse. The best advice I can give you is to talk to someone and try to face the fear. Get back in your car and go for a drive even if it is only around the block. Each time you do it it will get easier. You have to take your control back.
Avatar n tn This might be related to the way in which you use your voice when you're on the phone. You might try a few sessions of voice therapy. A good voice therapist will be able to discover what you're doing with your voice when you're talking on the phone. He/she will be able to retrain you to speak more normally when on the phone. You may be straining your voice without realizing it.
Avatar m tn My wife is arguing in court that half an hour is too much time to spend talking to my children on the phone as it is not natural for a 6 and 8 year old to spend o much time on the phone. Does anyone know of any studies that have been done in relation to this, is it damaging to spend so much time on the phone to my children?
Avatar f tn I have a brother who was a bad, bad boy at his job of many years. He actually rubbed insulation on the toilet paper roll at work, just to see who came out of the men's room scratching. He would also get onto the intercom and make disgusting animal noises and the like. The other things he did were just so unspeakable that I cannot even repeat them. Let's just say he got fired and it was a well deserved firing. I think, and I hate to say it, but, he is a bit on the psychotic side.
Avatar n tn Have you had changes in medication. Don't worry about whether or not people are talking about you. If you don't work on yourself you can't change the people around you. Peace starts within and then spreads without. I hope you feel better.
Avatar n tn m the same way. i get really anxious about talking to family on the phone unless they are really close family. if i don't recognize the number...i don't answer. i generally avoid calling people at all costs. the odd thing is that i'm not "bad" at being on the phone and i'm not really anxious when i'm on it. i don't know what causes it...but you aren't the only one.
Avatar f tn My partner is so like this. When i was on my first trimester i easily go awake by small noises or movements and i always see him playing til midnight almost 4am to 5am. I got angry because he cant help me in the morning cos he was still sleeping. I noticed that the more i tell him not to play or to limit using his phone the more he'll play. So i did what he does to me.
Avatar n tn I get so nervous when talking to people sometimes that I kind of feel as though I'm having some sort of depersonalization. It's hard to explain but whenever I'm at work and I have to talk to one of my customers I can get so nervous that I can't concentrate on what they're saying. I then space out, and my thoughts begin rushing. When this happens I sort of lose myself within the sensation and I try to grasp what's going on, but I'm quickly overwhelmed with pure fear.
Avatar f tn 21 yes is young to the point where your supposed to be finding out what exactly it is you wanna do in life but sometimes the path is different.. Im 20 and at first my mother was disappointed because i knew she wanted me to be fully stable and ready to take care if a child but a couple doctors appts later shes excited and adjusting to the fact she will be a grandmother lol .. Just what another week or whatever makes you feel comfortable to tell him ..
Avatar f tn Social anxiety is very common. If you're not in therapy you need to find a therapist to help you work through this. There are many small things you can do yourself to help you get over this. It doesn't matter what others think about you, and you cannot live your life worrying about it. You're paralyzed by this fear and as a result are isolated from everyone in your life. Nothing could be worse, so why not start talking to people and being yourself and see what happens?
3113038 tn?1391626218 Agreed... it's time for some therapy. I'm no doctor so I cannot offer any help, just opinions. I just want you to take a second and look at this sentence from above. "I've decided to forgive my friend and be in a relationship with my boyfriend because I KNOW there is no sexual relationship between them.
899491 tn?1243773627 That's funny, I know what you mean. I have a co worker with one of those. She usually comes to work before me, but sometimes she is late and I see her walking down the hall talking to herself. Of course, she's just on the phone. I only talk to myself when I'm alone.
Avatar f tn I can tell will 100% gurantee that even when I am watching live tv or talking to people on phone 1000ds of miles away, they exhibit same behaviour, caughing, sneezing, adjusting throat etc. Sometime they 'll just freeze or totally mis-spell words. Latest e.g. I was watching CNN live, attorney general testifying in front of US senate in Trump case. The chairman of seneate went too un-easy and was adjusting his throat all time & many people in that hall were caughing like anything.
142722 tn?1281533616 he told me to call him anytime and when i try to get of the phone he says he can talk more. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. my bipolar is out of sorts too so that is not helping. He is a felon, shot and killed a guy in self defence, he says, 4 years in jail. He does not have a checking account but says he is getting one. I have seen money lots in his pocket. He lives in a crapy place.
603015 tn?1329862973 Yes, this happens to me too! Just during Christmas, everyone was talking, the radio was playing and I felt complete sensory overload and had to go for a walk and get away. Even though this was entirely my family who I'm comfortable around, the noise was too much. It's also very difficult for me to pay attention to a conversation when many people are talking...like at the dinner table during a holiday when conversations are going on.
Avatar f tn m really having this problem with orgasm during sex phone and masturbation, I really love my boyfriend and get hot by him but no matter how we talk on phone even 4 hours sometimes I don't climax! I don't no if its because I'm used to other ways in masturbation or cuz I know he doesn't love me and it affect my intimacy with him? And he thinks there is something wrong with me and that all girls are ain't like me!! Please let me know is this abnormal??
3142113 tn?1343379632 The fact that your brother has deactivated all of his social links and keeps his phone off is significant. Most people who are going through a depression do not want to talk on the phone even to friends. How do I know this ? I went through a depression more than 10 years ago. I was suspicious of people phoning. I did not have a way of screening calls back then.
Avatar f tn Its great to talk to baby. Its another way to bond and baby can hear you. He will know your voice when hes born.
1415482 tn?1459702714 The very next time he hits or screams or threatens, call the police! This has gone on long enough,Sweetie...and for your peace of mind the time has come to take some action. I'll be thinking of you. Please stay in touch!
Avatar f tn Yea people say that to me, but like I said NO ONE understands unless they have the same problem. I don't know if I even really deal with it myself. Most of the time I have my husband there with me, and I always feel like if I am going anywhere I have to have someone I am comfortable with by my side, so he helps a lot. If I do have to do something myself or alone, I try to do it as quickly as possible and I avoid eye contact and talking as much as I can.
739536 tn?1265669359 I hate the fact that everyone is at different time zones , The people I want to comune with are 15 hours behind me and light years ahead when it comes to treatment - I love you I hate you but HEY that was 15 hours ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!
