Avatar f tn I haven't always had a fear of snow or ice driving until the recent past few years. If I am not in the driver's seat, I can't control the anxiety. If I am in the driver's seat, it's much, much worse. My panic starts the minute we start moving.
Avatar f tn m sorry you feel this way and have such great fear of snow. While it is reasonable to have fear of driving in snow---- perhaps you are talking about the level of your reaction? I know that I too do not like driving in snow. I live in an area where there is often ice beneath it and have had a few bad driving experiences. So . .. I get my groceries (like EVERYONE else, wow, our grocery is packed if there is bad weather in the forecast . . .
1747881 tn?1546175878 I am not a fan of the idea of self driving cars. We all know how easily our computers mess up.
Avatar f tn Wow this forum is really helping me, it's shocking to hear so many similar stories and experiences, When I was young I had a permit to drive with a licensed driver, I lost control of a vehicle when I hesitated in an intersection in the poring rain I slammed on the breaks in fear of not making a yellow light, I didn't cause an accident and nobody got hurt but I ended up across the street very close to a gas station pump which has scared me deeply, I was 18 and have not driven since
Avatar f tn ) I’ve found that my nausea increase dramatically when there’s no air circulating through the vehicle. Even in the midst of winter I need air in the car. When riding in the backseat of a vehicle if I can’t feel the air-conditioned I have to have the window down. As crazy as it seems I feel like I can’t breathe adequately in a hot or closed off car. I’ve even found myself rudely interrupting other’s conversations to practically yell out “roll down the window, I need you to roll down the window”.
230262 tn?1316645934 sweet jesus, Id be afraid to even let her out of the cat carrier out of fear of needing a blood transfusion from her ripping me to shreds!! MommaKitty does NOT like riding in the car. OMG she Yowled the entire way there (it was a longgggggggggggggggg drive, lol) and was clawing and digging at the cage the entire time! I tried to comfort her by petting her through the little cage holes and she scratched the helll out of my hand, lol. I cant imagine if she was LOOSE inside the car...
Avatar m tn After leaving a strip club, which I orgasmed in my pants, the outside of my pants where wet to the touch and the spot touched the seat belt and other items in my vehicle. (I am sure my hands too, which touched things as well.) My concern is would there be a risk of the virus being alive in the car after not driving it for 6 weeks (which I have not.) Is herpes transmitted through semen? My family and I need to use the vehicle now... very concerned. Any precautions to take now?
Avatar n tn Hi HamiltonM, I posted a comment about 6 years ago about fear of driving in curves. Especially curves ciming downhill. I feel my car will tilt over. I noted your comment about similar symptoms. I haven't been in this chat room since then...anyway I wanted to know if anything helped your situation?
Avatar m tn I'm just curious how many drive with CM? Or how many retain driving privledges even though perhaps they don't use them often due to not feeling safe to drive. Personally, even though I feel much better than pre-op there are many times I refuse to drive... probably 80-85% of the time. Curiosity due to finding this URL gov.

I feel that I am unable to get past other vehicles when I go on the outside lane, It's almost a feeling of virtigo and that I am being drawn back into the inside lane. it takes everything that I've got not to let the feeling take hold of me.
598974 tn?1221675462 I am fine driving around town and dont ever have these problems. Avatar f tn I get weird dreams too. My strangest was with my son who is now 6. I had this extreme fear of a car accident and the fear crossed over to my dreams. Well, on our way home from the hospital, we figured we'd stop by my husband's work to show off baby boy. My dad was driving and thank God he checked twice at an intersection!!! We were going to take a left and therefore in that first lane towards the on coming traffic.
8216878 tn?1403882912 My mom keeps trying to tell me I won't be able to drive. I plan on driving to and from the hospital and I will have to take my bf to and from work after. Anyone have any experience. I know I'll be sore but I think I'll be able to drive.

486038 tn?1300063367 Sunny, are you planning on getting on the road right away, or after you recover from this flare that looks suspiciously like MS? I don't want to scare you, but MS can mess with your head - literally and figuratively! I've found that driving has become much more difficult for me, because I have a hard time concentrating on the road without distractions. Plus I don't have the quickest reflexes...

Avatar f tn At that time, i realize that my only fear is death. In order to get rid of anxiety, i convince myself that every living thing will die. So, i dont care anymore if i die. After all, death will find me anyway. Finally, my anxiety gone without any medication. You should face your fear and put that away.
377493 tn?1356502149 Our province’s new impaired driving law will help to reduce the number of drinking drivers on our roads – and that means fewer deaths and serious injuries. Drivers who are criminally impaired or refuse to provide a breath sample will receive the harshest penalties. And, these drivers will still be charged with a criminal offence. Tougher consequences at the .05 to .08 level are designed to discourage drinking and driving – before drivers reach the criminally impaired level.
Avatar f tn I would like to know how long after taking Sumatriptan/Imitrex could any drowsiness side effect be considered to have worn off for when I get a migraine away from home and have no reasonable option to get home without driving myself. 394991 tn?1214255907 s not like I feel completely normal while driving, but fear that I will all of a sudden have a panic attack. I have no fear of this; these weird feelings are already and always there. I also HAVE tried densitization--baby steps. Sitting in the car, pulling out of the garage, driving around the subdivision. This did not work. I appreciate your trying to help though.
Avatar m tn fear of HIV; of committing a hit-and-run; psychotic illness; making a catastrophic mistake; making something bad happen if I don't follow compulsions; and some other smaller ones. From onset at 18 for about six months, I had it very bad. Then, I managed it well until about two months ago. At onset when I was 18, I had some depersonalization symptoms, which have not returned. I take lexapro 10mg daily, and it really works.
5739386 tn?1378836460 the pain could cause you to lose control of the vehicle. I drove 9 days after my c section but I had been off of the pain meds for two days at that point and wasn't very sore when driving.
1074864 tn?1256932915 You are not actually fearful of driving or travelling itself, but rather the fear of losing control if you have another panic attack. This is because when we have a panic attack, the first thing we want to do is to retreat to our "safe place", which for most people is our home. The further away from our comfort zone, the more uncomfortable we feel.

She then drove forward and her vehicle went between some trees, airborne, over a nearby dock and landed on a boat in the water. Avatar f tn Becoming accustomed to the larger vehicle will make driving a smaller one much easier. You might also consider having a full opthamological evaluation, to include a test for depth perception. The depth perception test is very important, Lack of depth perception is directly related to anxiety while driving. Use your rear view mirror frequently. Try driving alone for a while. The presence of a passenger adds to anxiety.
Avatar n tn I too struggle with panic attacks and the fear of them returning. Have you talked to your dr about this? You might want to consider talking with a therapist. I do know that if you let the fear take over your mind it is only going to get worse. The best advice I can give you is to talk to someone and try to face the fear. Get back in your car and go for a drive even if it is only around the block. Each time you do it it will get easier. You have to take your control back.
