fear

Avatar n tn First of all, I absolutely LOVE your username! You MUST get a picture to go with it! JS has given you the only advice there is, and as usual, it IS the best. I'm rather suprised I don't have this same phobia as my older brother use to pee on me when we were kids! He sure got a lot of laughs out of it......at least until I whacked "it" with a stick and then he didn't think it was so funny anymore! When you wrote that anything that is wet, you assume it's urine.........
Avatar f tn mine is my little fur baby for sure
535822 tn?1443976780 I rather like black cats. You know what the deal with black cats were, don't you? They used to believe that witches kept black cats. That's what started all this fear of black cats. Poor kitties.
Avatar f tn I don't get it, what exactly do you think your cats are going to do to your new babies? I have a dog & I'm not going to treat him any differently just because my son will be around (he's never had lots of attention jus average so I don't fear of a jealous attack).
534013 tn?1250201049 Rules for introducing cats to dogs: 1: Hide all copies of the Old Testament. There should be NO references to biblical catastrophes involving "Cat's and dogs" ie; "It's raining cats and dogs", "Cats and dogs lying down together", etc... don't let them get any ideas!!! 2: Lock up Knives. Be sure all cutlery (knives) are locked securely in drawers. 3. Local and Federal Law Enforcement. Inform your local police and homeland security of the situation.
Avatar m tn //avmajournals.avma.org/doi/pdf/10.2460/javma.239.6.773 That's it, out of the whole US and PR, there were only TWO cases of rabies transmission to humans in 2010. That should illustrate for you how rare it is. And, the numbers continue to decrease. Obviously, it goes without saying that drinking to excess to the point of blackouts is VERY unwise, for a whole host of reasons.
Avatar f tn - Toxoplasmosis gives mild symptoms in people, sort of flu-like. I have owned cats all my life and always cleaned their litter box, and after forty years of this, I got an antibody test to see if I had ever had toxoplasmosis (because I wouldn't know, frankly. It might seem like a mild flu.) And guess what, after years and years of cleaning cats' litter boxes, I have NEVER had toxoplasmosis.
Avatar f tn What kind of wild cat are you feeding? I noticed that you are from India. What kind of cat do you have? Is your mom making your cat stay outside? I've asked a lot of questions and didn't give you much of an answer. LOL-Sorry, I will be able to help you more if you give me some more information!!!

646410 tn?1247251853 One of my 3 cats was the runt of the litter. His brother has groomed him more than he has himself from day 1. They've been with us for over 7 years. Ricky's always had problems with the litter box, has intermittent diarrhea, and we're assuming he's the one that relieves himself right outside the litter box. Is his problem a fear of discomfort from illnesses or is it possible he's claustrophobic? We've tried going with an uncovered litter box, but it is SO messy.
Avatar f tn I had cats with both of my sons, never had any problems, my family had cats when I was born with no problems. Cats tend to not want to be around babies, they're too noisy. I have been around animals my entire life and worked with them for several years and never heard of any cats sleeping on, or trying to smother babies in any way. I would not get rid of them.
Avatar f tn The apartment I was in allowed some story cats to come in and out. We fed this skinny, young looking cat and when I went to sleep it ended up coming over and cuddling on my legs while we slept. When I woke up and was petting it, he grabbed my arm and nipped me. I immediately pulled me arm away and washed it with soap briefly. I don't think it bled, I saw no blood after I washed. And the red mark that it left completely cleared up with a couple of days.
Avatar f tn I've always been extra careful with all animals while pregnant because of the fear of germs and etc. but I think you'll be okay, just wash your hands really well after petting them.
Avatar n tn I woke up Friday 4 a.m. with hives over my body, from head to knees. I decided to go to the ER in fear of progression. I was afebrile, may ANC was 320. When discharged from the ER I was given prednisone, diphenhydramine and zantac. Assuming this is an allergy driven event, I would like to know when my immune system stabalizes, does the allergy go away? ;) Thank you ahead of time.

6712392 tn?1393708678 My cats have no fear of foil lol I tried that before and I just come home to them laying on the foil.
595125 tn?1219834270 What you descrive is a panic attack when you have this intense fear, then you become afraid of the fear and so on until it becomes a vicious circle. You came to the right place! You should browze a lot of these threads as you will quickly see that you are not alone in your fear and anxiety and you will perhaps learn from how others have coped with it.
Avatar f tn She has no fear of people, not even a little bit. This is why sometimes I wish I knew anything about her past. I know nothing since she is a rescue. I have always had cats that were at least a little shy when it came to people, but she shows no fear of them.
414635 tn?1272217693 We just got the nursery done this weekend and set up the crib (and the bassinet is in there for now) and on one of my many trips to pee last night one of my cats was standing in the bassinet. We have an older house so the dooe needs to be kept open for heat to get in. What can we do to keep the cats out of the crib/bassinet?
Avatar n tn ve had her for 10 years, and there are so many cats in need of good homes it is hard to find a good match. The reason i consider it is because i fear that she is unhappy. It seems unhealthy to hide away all day.
976897 tn?1379167602 There is evidence of cats being buried with people from about 8-10K years ago. So, it is assumed that they had been domesticated by 10,000 years ago. I address this very question at my internet radio show on PetLifeRadio. Look for the Cattitude channel.
Avatar n tn I'll be six weeks along in a couple days. I have two beautiful dogs and one cat who must think he's absolutely hilarious. My cat has jumped on my stomach once or twice and I just am so scared that he's going to make me have a miscarriage because the little **** comes out of nowhere!!! My dogs occasionally put their paw on me when they need to tell me they want to go outside but it's not too hard like the pressure my cats entire body weight is. Has anyone else had this fear?
Avatar n tn I would also have the doctor do an x-ray or MRI of her skull to see that she does not have any kind of a tumor. Does she like other cats? After spaying and some time for her to settle down from the operation, you might consider getting another cat. She might be too isolated and not have enough to do.
874521 tn?1424116797 ve learned here, I hesitate to even pet a cat on the street while walking for fear they might have ringworm or any number of things.
Avatar f tn Cats spraying urine is a common problem but have no fear...we are very good at dealing with it. First off good job bringing this to our attention early. Too often a well meaning cat owner comes into my hospital and explains there cat has been marking his territory for years and now they cant handle it...by that point it is often too late. Call your veterinarian and explain you were recently there and forgot to mention this problem, hopefully they wont need to charge you for another examination.
4928337 tn?1362751166 Dont keep them in just bc she gets upset. They say cats like to cuddle up to babies bc the smell of the milk and if your cats are affectionate then there is a big chance they will try to lay with the baby and that is not good at all. I have a cat in the house but she wont sleep with my son or go near any babies. She hasnt once tried to go in the babies stuff and only sleeps in her own bed.
