I had unprotected sex with a female around the beginning of June and shortly after I noticed a mild burning sensation when I ejaculated. I knew this was likely to be some kind of STD as a result, (I had been diagnosed and treated for non-specific urethritus 2 years earlier) so proceeding to get an appointment with my GP. He prescribed a 10 day course of Doxycycline 100mg capsules which I took as prescribed. I returned to the doctors as my symptoms persisted.
What HR was saying was that don't eat carbs or proteins alone because they burn a lot faster. You can lower the glycemic index of a fast burning carb by eating it with protein. At the same time, fast burning protein will be slowed down when combined with a carbohydrate.
You could always try what I am doing and see if you could just get through a few weeks with no carbs. High protein and no sugar is the only sure way to lose weight fast. I have tried Adipex and I feel like it did more harm than good. Diet pills aren't worth the stress they put your body under. They make you nervous and shaky and on the edge. Who wants to feel like that? Especially since you still have to diet and work out the same. There is no magic pill. If so, everyone would be thin.
No rice, pasta, white flour, sugar, or any other of the higher glycemic empty carbs are in that list, because such foods spike blood sugar and cause weight gain. Based on your food selection, an 11-day diet plan is computed for you by an online software, the “Diet Generator”, which can beaccessed from any computer at any time. THATS THE SAME WITH CARBS, THINK OF CARBS AS FUEL, SO WHEN YOUR EXERCISING YOUR BODY IS USING THE CARBS/FUEL AS ENERGY AFTER IT USES THE CARBS IT STARTS BURNING YOUR BODY FAT AS FUEL. SO ITS LOW CARBS NOT NO CARBS, BECAUSE YOU WONT HAVE ANY ENERGY.
1) Interval training cardio--high intensity (HIIT). Example--warm up with a fast walk or light jog for 3 mins. Spint as fast as you can for 30 seconds. Walk for a minute or minute and 1/2, then sprint again. Do this 4 or 5 times if starting out, then as you progress increase it to 2 minute walking periods followed by 60 secs of sprinting. Never go over 20 mins total. 15-20 mins, tops. You can do other exercises besides spritning. Step ups are great, mountain climblers, etc.
5-2 hours 6 days out of the week, add cardio for 5 days, and sometimes just eat straight protein, or straight fast burning carbs. Pantloads, which had me worried. So MedHelp.org is pretty much the only place I go for my info and so I want to share this> Viral load is million and change. Didn't test last time for this.
Eating bad carbs as bread and pasta - and sugar based products - instead of good carbs (like certain veggies) hurt the metabolic rate of burning fat for hypo patients. High protein diets in small meals daily helps stabilize the insulin and gives the body a stable environment to burn fat. NOT muscle - FAT. Hypo patients can limit calorie intake to 800 calories a day and still gain weight in large numbers.
I do have hemmoroids so I attribute the bleeding to my hemmoroids but I can't be sure because I also have stomach pains off and on when my stomach is empty. Like a burning sensation. I use to drink a lot of coffee and soda but I think that's what caused my stomach issues. I plan on seeing my doctor soon! I have some ideas like maybe H. Pylori or some type of bacteria overgrowth in my gut? I dunno but it's not normal. I wasn't born like this so I doubt if I have TMAU.
Keep up high protein levels (low fat protein will burn calories faster) and you will spare your muscle mass while burning your body fat. If carbs are kept below 20 grams a day, many many people will lose weight even if their protein sources are high-fat. But for sure low-fat protein sources only will melt it off. The losses will amaze you. My partner does low-fat low-carb when his eating gets away from him, like if goes away for a weekend with his buddies and comes back 3-4 pounds heavier.
The hospital said I need to watch my carbs, for breakfast they said to eat 2 to 3 net carbs, lunch 3 to 4 net carbs, and dinner is 4 to 5 net carbs. each net carb is around 15 carbs. so if it has 30 carbs in it, that means its 2 net carbs. I hope that makes sense. anyway. in doing this i have lost 20 lbs. So i am here for support.
YES nursing burns calories! Your body is working hard to meet the nursing demand your little one needs - that all translates to energy being burnt/calories being burnt. Anxiety860 is 100% right - anxiety can also cause weight loss. I'm a tiny lady, and this fall I dropped 8lbs I could not afford to lose. Anxiety is tough re: weight loss because your body recognizes it as a "work" chemical, so we might not feel hungry.
fatigue, fibro fog, digestive problems (the most I have is bloating/gas), or itchy/burning skin, sleep difficulties. Just to note, I do sometimes get extremely tired after I eat certain foods/ or a big meal...but I don't know if that's fibro related or some type of food intolerance or just hormones and it doesn't always happen. So I am confused on whether I truly have fibro or not? Can you have some of the symptoms with this disease but not all?
when ever i felt the burning coming on i ate plain muffins or saltine crackers to eleviate the burning feeling. its been 5 years sicne the ablation and i am having massive pvc's and its stressing me out to where i am doing the same thing, stomach burns making myself belch to relieve fullness and the pvc's. it's awful that feeling. so i am stuck going through all the tests again to see whats going on now thats casuing this. i feel you.
They need a lot of work. They need to fast. They need to drop the carbs. They need to add back the good fat. They need to add in some anti-glycating agents like benfotiamine and resveratrol. This is what works. This is what reduces their risk of converting to diabetes, and therefore has a huge role to play in protecting their brains," Dr. Perlmutter says. Eat the Right Types of Fat. The type of fat you eat naturally makes all the difference in the world.
explained that FM being an illness where neurotransmitters are irritated/ damaged, sick whatever, ( fibro fog today) that our nerve endings react in an assortment of ways, burning, itching, rash. I suffer from terrible burning to where it feels like my head and face have Ben gay rubbed all over it. I feel this as we speak. Itching is a frequent part of my daily symptoms. My friend has scoriassis from FM nerves being damaged. Her feet itch with no visible signs of any skin irritation.
I haven't been dieting, but I haven't been overeating either, and already don't eat barely any dairy and try to watch my gluten intake and avoid fast food. I am considering trying the Paleo diet, but it is so difficult to follow strictly, and I guess I am having a hard time coming to terms with it needing to be a life-long change that I may need to follow. (But it sounds like I am facing life long medication anyways....?
You can go to HR's member page and read all his old posts to understand what to take. He never gave an exact list but he explained it all over a long period of time, so it is hard to give an exact list. You could try just scanning his posts (lots and lots) to find those that would help you the most. There is a company that sells these already put in the best form and dosages and this is what we have been buying for a while now. . They seem to be working for my husband very well.
I also developed thrush as a result of the antibiotic use and the Asthma medications. Took Zantac for the severe reflux. Fast forward to 2006 and I started to have difficulty swallowing as well as a severe burning pain constantly under my right ribs. At the time the doctors put me on Zoton, but due to the swallowing difficulties I was unable to have this with out problems so I went back onto the Zantac.
TMG is in the list you provided in an earlier thread. thanks again PPC/NAC/ALA/TMG/SAme/Silymarin/Catechin/Resvera/(Curcumin?
Make sensible changes, cut out fast foods (or limit severely), include plenty of fruits/veggies and complex carbs, and look for fat free or low fat dairy products. Small changes can be sustained...many people tire of severe, limited diets and soon abandon them. Sounds like you're getting there! Happy dancing!
My knees have started to hurt again (the pain will switch from one to the other), I went to the doctor and he said my heart was irregular (that it was beating too fast and he prescribed Carvedilol), I was dizzy for like 3 weeks (kept almost fainting and I still feel like fainting when I walk around a lot), I have a difficult time concentrating and zone out a lot, it’s hard to pay attention and I don’t feel as alert as I normally would.
Hi and welcome to MedHelp. I'm going to list some symptoms of lupus and you let me know which ones you have. There are 11 criteria for a lupus dx. You must have at least 4 of the 11 to recieve a dx. They are: 1. malar rash over cheeks (butterfly rash) (74%) 2. discoid rash, red raised patches 3. photosensitivity - reaction to sunlight, resulting in skin rash (50%) 4. oral and nose ulcers 5. arthritis (95%) 6. serositis - inflamation of the lining of the lung or heart 7.
It basically speeds up how fast your stomach empties into the intestines. According to the FDA, about 2 million Americans take drugs containing metoclopramide. But does it cause more trouble than it solves? In fact, if you take it for more than 3 months (and research suggests that as many as 20 percent of patients do), you may be putting yourself at risk. That’s because long-term use of Reglan has been linked to an increased risk of tardive dyskinesia (TD).
Thanx dear i do not breast feed. i burn 500 , 600 calories at gym and will try to take 1600 calories. as for before i was overweight before but not obese as i am now. i gained weight from last 4 years about 25, 30 kg i gained.just because my way of eating and especially indian diets. u know full of fats and carbs. i am still taking indian diey just avoiding too much oils in my currys . and rice and chapati(whole wheat bread type).
It is an extremely hard diet to follow but I have found that acid DOES NOT LIKE CARBS. Cut the carbs, and the acid improves greatly. My diet consists of chicken(without antibiotics), turkey, fish, and vegetables. I get the chicken raised without antibiotics because I think that's what alot of the problem is being caused by, the antibiotics wiping out all of our good bacteria. Seems like the entire world has acid reflux and it has to be caused by what we are eating.
I just tried one new thing at a time until I was used to it. I learned a really good snack is blueberries with yogurt. I do still have carbs like bread, pasta, etc. but in really limited portions. It is true what they say about getting full mostly on lean meats and veggies. Even the water helps fill you up. Then you won't be craving other things so much. Believe me I have been there! I have lost about 40 lbs since June.
