Common Questions and Answers about Fainting yourself

fainting

Avatar f tn Please have someone drive you the emergency room now! What's happening to you is extremely serious. I had a cousin with a leaky heart valve & a tooth infection. The infection went to his heart and he had a massive stroke. Please don't drive yourself & if no one is there to take you right now to the emergency room, call 9-1-1!
Avatar n tn aw heck...no worries, just so you didn't hurt yourself!!! i had to reschedule a steroetactic biopsy because as soon as they got me in the room and i saw all the equipment and they were telling me what they were going to do i almost fainted!!!! i opted for the wait 6 months and check for changes. look at it this way, you brought some excitement to what would otherwise been a boring routine day for the staff!!!!!
Avatar m tn I am a 43 yr old male, not overweight and in decent shape. Ihave had fainting problems over the past 4 years. I used to think it was stress/anxiety issues but now I am not sure. I started going to my family doctor and the doctor diagnosis was vasovagal syncopy. I have been tested for the following and all came back normal: EKG's 2x a year Eco- cardiogram CT scan Blood work 1x a year Heart Monitor for 2 weeks - of course i did not faint when I had it.
Avatar n tn Drink an gatorade before you play with yourself, your body needs them more so then since you are cosuming a lot of energy an electrolytes. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn It has been going on for over 1 year. Lately I have been fainting and falling alot (very embarrising since I am in High School). Just recently I have also been getting severe leg and back cramps/spasms. I am having a hard time sleeping at night getting only about 3 to 4 hours of sleep. This has also been going on for over 1 year. I have seen several doctors, who have run MRI's, CAT scans and they all have done blood work. Everything always comes up normal.
Avatar n tn For several months I have been experiencing bouts of almost fainting combined with a thumping heartbeat which I feel in my head as well as my chest. Sometimes this is combined with shortness of breath. This can happen when I am sitting down or when I am standing up. When it happens I feel the need to stop whatever I am doing and wait for it to pass. I find this very distressing, as I am not sure what is going to happen. I am a 40 year old woman, do not smoke, and am not overweight.
Avatar f tn So a few times in the past it had happened that I've smoked and ended up fainting. Every time I hadn't had a regular food diet that day, was very tired, etc. Usually when it strats to happen I get very light-headed then I feel woozy - then I faint. Last night the same thing started to happen, however I started to feel as if I could not breath at all, I went outside for air and my body really felt like it was on fire. My neck and my scalp especially.
Avatar f tn Although overdoses are rare with this drug, it does not always take a large amount to overdose or go into cardiac arrest. Consider yourself lucky and hope you never pick up this drug again. I promise, you have no idea what is to come if you continue using. I hope your feeling better now. Let us know how you are and stay safe:) Good luck.
Avatar f tn Drink lots of water because now during the summer is when we mommys get dehydrated more often and also drink gatorade it helps to keep yourself hydrated.
Avatar n tn Nause, room spinning feelings, vomiting and fainting. I had severe fainting feeling that lasted seconds intermittently over a few months. Now mainly over that. Saw an ENT(ears, nose and throat specialist). Easy cure for me. Also had the same symptoms as yourself after banging my head(unexpectedly). So I too know how your symptoms can be severe. Mine was a positional dizziness. So this situation was one cause. There are others that the specialist should be able to diagnose. Hope this helps.

Avatar n tn Hello AlanK We are volunteers here & not medical professionals. We do have a lot of experience with Type 1, however. I have read that in the years leading up to a diagnosis of diabetes, some individuals experience the condition of hypoglycemia. Some folks have chronic hypoglycemia, in which their bodies respond to glucose with an oversupply of insulin. In others, this condition seems to be present for a while before diabetes develops.
Avatar f tn I am a 29yo male. I've never had any significant health issues. However, when I was 16 years old I was diagnosed with 1st degree atrioventricular heart block. I've never really noticed any symptoms and I understand it is common among active people and athletes. However, my mother was diagnosed with 3rd degree AV heart block and had a pacemaker put in at 33 years old.
211940 tn?1267881266 And about 20 years ago I had the problem of fainting and near fainting for several months. It was mainly associated with the change of positio, going for sitting to standing. There are several different heart conditions that have this problem of feeling like you are going to faint. Have you been seen by a cardiologist to eliminate those possibilities? Remeber that just because we have MS that doesn't mean we will not have anything else wrong with us.
Avatar n tn And later that night I did return to the bathroom successfully three times. What is the cause of my fainting and is it dangerous, should I be worried? Or is it because the tea was too old?
Avatar f tn I have always been prone to fainting due to being anemic so easily.. When I got pregnant it got worse and I fainted more.. I started taking iron capsules and pre natals with iron..
Avatar f tn I had one the other day. Not sure if it will happen again. But i heard once uou faint it will happen again. When i fainted theyncalled 911.
10777943 tn?1412955415 I'm the same, I get terrible fainting spells during pregnancy. I know its not low blood pressure because I've had preeclamplsia through both pregnancies but interestingly my iron levels have been really low particularly this pregnancy. I had an iron infusion last week and haven't fainted since. Maybe get your iron checked?
Avatar f tn I had fainting spells in the shower every time with my first two. I was anemic too. the doctor had me taking iron supplements twice a day and that stopped it.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm 23 weeks with my second baby and besides dizziness I had two episodes of sweating and actually to the point of fainting.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else experinced a fainting/passing out moment? Definitely not from low blood sugar.
Avatar f tn I'm 11 weeks and I have been continously fainting at work. I'll lose my vision and hearing and just completely pass out. They keep telling me it's because I'm dehydrated but I'm drinking plenty of water and Gatorade and my blood pressure is very low. No one will really look more into it. I am very scared for my health and about losing my job over it. Please help.
