Common Questions and Answers about Fainting xanax

fainting

Avatar n tn I am now completing my second week on Zoloft. I have been three weeks off of xanax and still my panic symptoms persist. I have taken leave from work and am on my third week away. It seems that panic I experienced while driving which was akin to near fainting/black out has given me a phobia towards driving. I tried to go to work today and only got about twelve miles from home before starting back. I want my old life back.
Avatar f tn Hi, Most of your symptoms appear to be side effects of medications. Xanax can cause dizziness, fainting, weakness, muscle aches and pains, diahrrea, dry mouth, nervousness, restlessness and pounding in the chest. Please discuss this with your treating doctor. Treatment with xanax should always start with a low dose like 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg and then the dose should be gradually increased. Please discuss this with your treating doctor and please remember not to increase the dose on your own.
Avatar n tn I've been taking doctor prescribed xanax since 2005 and recently decided to stop. The doctor had been weening me off; taking .05 every other day. The problem surfaced when I decided I couldn't take it every other day so I took it daily and found myself without them. I decided to just go ahead and stop them altogether. The result has been heavy headedness to the point of near fainting. This has interferred greatly with my driving abilities; commuting to and from work.
Avatar n tn Since then, I have had several panic attacks and was put on Lexapro 20mg and Xanax .5mg as needed. Most of my panic attacks happen in restaurants and I end up fainting. It is getting to the point where I don't want to eat out anymore because I am afraid of humiliating myself and whoever I happen to be having lunch or dinner with. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it hits me so fast I barely have time to warn my dinner date that I might faint.
746058 tn?1248344665 Ok, as an update for all who followed my previous posts... I had a vaso vagul synscope (fainting upon standing) episode a few months ago. I went thru a holter monitor, echo, 2 EKG's, nuclear stress test, a trip to the ER , tons of bloodwork, an endocrinologist, and a cardiologist. I also just had a tilt table test done as well. The tilt report said i had "possible mild POTS" so do i have it or not first of all?
Avatar f tn I've been in the hospital three times in the past month for fainting spells of unknown origin. My cariovascular system checks out fine: good bp, EKG, heart x-ray, blood enzymes. My fainting spells are always proceeded by a tingling in my toes and fingers. This tingling turns into a partial numbness and then I get these burning sensations almost like I have a sunburn that works its way up to my face. Then my vision is effected, things don't swirl but sort of rock slightly.
Avatar f tn Sounds like his Xanax might be interacting with his pain meds. If he is taking too much Xanax it can cause fainting and disorientation, especially when taken with the Hydrocodone. Do you know if he takes them as prescribed. When taking a high dose of Xanax and if it is abruptly stopped you can have seizures, that goes the same for the Tramadol. If he gets 180 a month he should not be taking more than 6 a day.

Avatar n tn Is it possible that it would increase my Blood alcohol level?
Avatar f tn OMG! My 16 year old daughter had suffered a concussion also. She has been fainting/passing out and had similar work up including EEG's. We have been trying various doctors and asking Neurologist if they are familiar with the syncope and most of the time they are not when it is with a concussion. They do not rule it out, but she has been tested for seizures, epilepsy and all EEg's come out normal. Currently they are considering an overnight EED.
Avatar f tn So Doctor told me to take only 20mg of lisinopril every day. I did. Then, even more serious headaches, dizziness, and feeling like fainting, and high blood pressure. So Doctor then prescribed Atenolol 25mg per day. One week of trial. Even higher blood pressure around 170/110. So Doctor then advised that I should take both Lisinopril 30mg in the morning, and Atenolol 25mg at night.

10777943 tn?1412955415 I'm the same, I get terrible fainting spells during pregnancy. I know its not low blood pressure because I've had preeclamplsia through both pregnancies but interestingly my iron levels have been really low particularly this pregnancy. I had an iron infusion last week and haven't fainted since. Maybe get your iron checked?
Avatar f tn I had fainting spells in the shower every time with my first two. I was anemic too. the doctor had me taking iron supplements twice a day and that stopped it.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm 23 weeks with my second baby and besides dizziness I had two episodes of sweating and actually to the point of fainting.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else experinced a fainting/passing out moment? Definitely not from low blood sugar.
Avatar f tn I'm 11 weeks and I have been continously fainting at work. I'll lose my vision and hearing and just completely pass out. They keep telling me it's because I'm dehydrated but I'm drinking plenty of water and Gatorade and my blood pressure is very low. No one will really look more into it. I am very scared for my health and about losing my job over it. Please help.
