Avatar f tn I was later told that I was found between the tub and the toilet(no where I sat),with my eyes open and unconscious. I remember flashes of events and I remember telling that I am fine but I was not able to be fully conscious. It lasted for about 15-20 minutes. I was told that sprinkling water and slapping my face made no effect on me.What could be the reason.I am 28 year old female and had experienced nothing like this before. Can a low pressure cause this?
Avatar f tn Sleeping with eyes partially open isn't exactly rare. Sometimes people are born with the tendency, sometimes it's the result of some kind of injury or disease, and most of the time, the cause really isn't known. In fact, people who do it usually don't even realize it (after all, you're asleep, right?) until either they see a photo of themselves or their bed partner tells them about it. I didn't know I slept with my eyes open until my husband told me.
Avatar n tn I can feel the width of my headband compressed on my skull I think there is nerve damage because my eyes are droopy and my right I is slanted down. It is as if I cannot open my eyes fully without extreme pulling and pain I always had big eyes and now they look dehydrated and small and very glassy and raccoon like. On muscle relaxents but due to Hiatal Hernia pills don't work like the shot did. Will this go away. My skull is wider now and feels like no blood is in it.
Avatar n tn In the meantime her regular neurologist will be looking into whether she actually has real seizures or pseudo-seizures and of course what is going on with the fainting. The eyes are just a small part of a more complex overall sitaution. Michael Kutryb,MD Kutryb Eye Institute 407 S. Washinton Ave. Titusville, FL 32796 321-367-2020 www.kutrybeye.
Avatar n tn My name is Amber and I am 19. When I was 17, I came down with an ear infection known as "swimmers ear" ever since then I have had a balance disorder where very often, at least once a month, I get really dizzy, the side of my face that was effected by swimmers ear swells slightly and is sore to the touch, my jaw is tight and i get a migraine with an aura. Smells bother me, they are so unbearably strong that I am nauseated and cannot eat. Light and bright colors hurt my eyes...

Avatar n tn 1. See an Eye MD for a complete eye exam. Tell him/her that you want to be sure you don't have "exposure keratitis". 2. Use a stronger lubricant at bedtime first tye 'Genteal Gel, if that doesn't work use Refresh PM an ointment. Be sure you don't sleep under a fan or have an air vent blowing across your face.

And if I stand up everything starts spinning in my head. I don't know what could be wrong with me. Does anyone have any clue? Avatar n tn So, I'm 16 years old and I faint. I usually get dizzy, my vission goes blurry then dark and I studder my words when the "attack" is happening, then I fall to the floor.. This happened once over the summer and it felt as if my head kept banging against the floor. I could see out of the top of my eyes as if i was looking up. Weird thing is, I felt as if i was thinking but I couldn't move or talk or move my eyes.. The "attack" lasted about a minute and I could get up.

I felt dizzy off and on after that but when I started working a job in the ER as a PCA I started having issues with it more frequently. My mother who was a trauma nurse manager there hooked me up to a monitor shortly after one of my episodes and my heart rate was 160bpm plus. I had only walked maybe about 5ft after sitting down when this occurred.
