fainting while pregnancy

Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.

I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.

I'm the same, I get terrible fainting spells during pregnancy. I know its not low blood pressure because I've had preeclamplsia through both pregnancies but interestingly my iron levels have been really low particularly this pregnancy. I had an iron infusion last week and haven't fainted since. Maybe get your iron checked?

I read that it could be part of pregnancy....my advice would be to just take it easy for a while and if things don't get better Exp if it happens again call your doctor.....

Low blood pressure, low blood sugar, lack of protein, dehydration are all likely culprits. Fainting is quite common during pregnancy but is something she should mention to her doctor.

Is anyone else having problems feeling really dizzy or fainting? I passed out last week in the middle of cosco and almost again in Wal-Mart anyone else having or had this problem??

Did u try finding out the reason?? I know fainting can be caused by many things during pregnancy but some can lead to more complex situation.. U ahould consult ur doctor as it could be due to high or low blood pressure or dehydration etc...

Today it happened in a long line at the store, I was waiting about 10 minutes in line and I started getting woozy and weak and my vision started to black out. I made it to a chair and fanned myself for a few minutes and it took a while to go away. Is this normal? I've heard of the dizziness being common, but my vision really starts to turn black and I get light headed. Both times I have had plenty of fluids and protien in my system so its not that.

Thr dizzyness and stuff is because the body produces wayyyyy more blood while your pregnant (eventually during pregnancy you'll have 4 LBS!!

Keep peanut butter crackers on you and something to drink. I have to due to my hypoglycemia. I have always had it but it gets worse with pregnancy. I also have heard many women getting it during pregnancy and then it going away after.

Im 17 weeks and 2 days and I was just reading about my future 18 week and it mentioned since of increased blood flow there are chances of fainting has anyone fainted before or am I being paranoid lol

This is my third pregnancy and I've had fainting spells with my previous two nor while not pregnant. However, recently, I started to blacked out and sat myself quickly to the floor so i wouldn't hit hard and slowly began to recover. I didn't completely faint but did lose control and was sweaty on my neck even in air conditioning during the episode. It was a different feeling from being light headed or dizzy(i have experienced those but not this pregnancy) and scared me to death.

Theres a thing called head sparing where blood doesn't go to your head like it should while youre pregnant and can cause dizziness. My doctor said to always call if I have fainted or go to the e.r. also the heat from the shower and or dehydration, and high blood pressure (or way to low blood pressure) and a sudden rise or drop in blood sugar can all cause dizziness/fainting. I would at least call your doctor and let them know what happened even if you arent going to the e.r.

what is fainting disease, my son has fell down while standing. He has fell down 4-5 times in last 18 months.while morning school prayer. some dark shadows comes in his eyes & immediately after that he fell down. after felldown he remain unconcious for 30-40 seconds only. Today I consulted with a Neuro Doctor Puneet Syal (MD- Medicine) He told that my son may have chances 95 % of Fainting or 5% chances of Epilepsy desease and he advised MRI, EEG, ECHO & ECG TESTS.

My doc sed eat protein nd less Carb customer my body releases tons of insullin nd causes fainting. My friend fainted during pregnancy for being anemic nd iron deficant.

Hi everyone, Last time i was on here was about 2 years ago, well so much has happened, firstly i was fitted with a loop recorder to try and find out what was happening when i fainted then my 17 year old daughter told me she was pregnant, shock wasent the word, i got used to the idea and was actually looking forward to it, she then found a lump in her breast when she was 8 months pregnant and had to go for a biopsy she obviously wanted mum with her so i dragged myself along, just as they were cut

I'm 18+4 today I went to payless nd was feeling fine. I got up to the counted and suddenly I'm dizzy, really hot and shaky my ears start ringing and my eyesight goes black, next thing I know I'm on the floor with my best friend leaning over me asking if I'm okay. I agree to go to like a medexpress or urgent care. This happened to me several times with my first pregnancy and my doctor told me it's something that I should call about and be seen right away. It could be a problem with blood pressure, blood sugar or a sign of something else. That said, with me it was a problem with blood sugar levels. Drinking lots of water, eating steadily all day with plenty of healthy calories, and not overdoing my activity mostly resolved it.

It's possible, but it's difficult to say. Abdominal cramping isn't usually a sign of symptom of pregnancy. Neither is fainting. If it's been at least two weeks you can take a pregnancy test with first morning urine. If it comes back negative, wait a week or so and retest. You can also make a doctors appointment and discuss with them what the problem could be.

I fainted at 20wks last pregnancy and ob sent me to ER. Was low blood pressure and not drinking enough water. Baby was fine but was important to get checked as there can be reasons behind low blood pressure such as internal bleeding so worth calling your doc.

So im 17 weeks and 2 days and I was reading about 18 weeks and it says theres a chance of u fainting bc all of the increased blood flow..
