I am scared... And if so , how can it affect the baby??? Anyone had infected dermal piercing while pregnant and their babies were born completely healthy?

FTM and I'm not sure if its OK to keep my piercings in an if not when should I take them out?! I have my nipples pierced and my clitoral hood. When doing light research about it I've gotten mixed answers, some say its OK to leave in the clit piercing as it shouldn't interfere w/ delivery since the baby comes out of your vagina but others said they had some tearing of there clitoral hood. And also, if any moms have belly button piercings, when did you remove them ?!

tattoos and piercings are a no-no while pregnant. I wanted a piercing but my artist refused. you'll have to wait :-) I'm gonna get my daughter's name tattood after she's born !!

She had a piercing on her tongue. She said she had her piercing done quite a while back. What if the piercing was bleeding or still not healed? Do I need a 3 month wait period to test for HIV?

Also it is ILLEGAL for a tattoo shop to give you a piercing or tattoo while pregnsnt because of the risks. And if there is a shop that will do it, my opinion then is they are probably not a clean shop and obviously not following state law. You could get hepetitis, hiv, or staff infection. Wait till after you have the baby.

Id be surprised if anyone would pierce you while pregnant and they obviously aren't very good business people if they do. You're at a higher risk of infection whilst pregnant as showard said. I'd wait until you give birth.

s kinds silly for me to ask this now, after all these years... but should I take my piercing off while I have an outbreak? If so, what should I do to disinfect it, just alcohol and boiling water with salt?

I got my lip pierced while pregnant.

t get a piercing at all while breastfeeding due to a possible infection. A lot of the articles I read said to wait until you're done breastfeeding. I would ask your doc though.

I personally would not allow any opportunistic infections a chance to get in while pregnant which is probably the reasoning for no piercings.

i went to a strip club a week back, i had private dance there, after the dance the stripper started looking for her vaginal piercing, she told me that she lost it while she was giving me lap dance. if anyhow that piercing pierced through my skin ... i looked throughly i didnt find any scratch on my leg. can i get hiv?

I believe the majority of tattoo/piercing parlors will not do any services on a pregnant lady. There are risks for infection which is higher while pregnant and can affect the fetus. I would recommend waiting until the baby is born. You're child is worth the wait.

hey ladies, I was just curious if other women on here have successful breastfed a child for 6+ months without losing I piercing? I've had my girls pierced for a little more than a year now and I'll be having our fourth baby on Dec 28th and I was hoping to be able to keep my piercings.

Hi there, My sister has been having the exact same experience for over last two years in episodes of vertigo setting off and when we traced back, it was the same time as when she had her piercing done on the left nostril. Its so much of a coincidence that even she suffers from the same left ear mild hearing deficiency since childhood. But despite of all tests, medical examinations, it was always attributed to being vestibular neuronitis.

Its not recommended and most artists won't do it while your pregnant. The reason being You're more susceptible to infection and because your body is so busy doing othecanr things it can take much longer to heal.

Anyone know (from experience) about nipple and clitorous piercings and wether they need to be removed or you need bigger bars ect and is a clitorous piercing safe while giving birth?

what is fainting disease, my son has fell down while standing. He has fell down 4-5 times in last 18 months.while morning school prayer. some dark shadows comes in his eyes & immediately after that he fell down. after felldown he remain unconcious for 30-40 seconds only. Today I consulted with a Neuro Doctor Puneet Syal (MD- Medicine) He told that my son may have chances 95 % of Fainting or 5% chances of Epilepsy desease and he advised MRI, EEG, ECHO & ECG TESTS.

I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.

It's not the tragus piercing that helps with migraines, it's the Darth piercing that helps with migraines :) I didn't get mine while pregnant but it's helped tremendously!

This is perfectly safe. Provided the piercing is already healed. It however may irritate your nipple. Depending on how long you plan on nursing I would suggest only putting them in at night or when your baby takes its longest nap.
