Avatar n tn Did they test his glucose again while in ER? What scans were performed? Are you in area where there is high heat? If yes, was he well hydrated prior to going outside? I would schedule a visit with a doctor for a full health examination which should include stress testing [heart], and an A1c test to see how well he is controlling his glucose levels.

Avatar f tn She is tired a lot and extremely pale all of the time which made me think of being anemic. Her doctor said all labs are within normal range. She is usually on her period during the times she has fainted. Can someone suggest a specialist to take her to because I still feel there is something wrong. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

Avatar f tn Hi, I’m 22 and I started my periods when I was 14, they were fine easy periods with no real cramps. Some when in the next year I started fainting on the first day of my period including sometimes throwing up. During the next few years it got worse, to the point I would faint then have to stay lying down for over 10 – 20 minutes at a time. During that next 10 hours I would throw up continually until I would fall asleep with exhaustion.
Avatar f tn I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done. But if it's just once in a while just try and be safe and bring it up at your next doctors visit.
Avatar n tn That is too high even while working out. Is she pushing herself hard on the treadmill or jogging along at a reasonable pace? And fainting isn't good either. Do you think that was related to anything else like being overheated, dehydrated or sick? She should see the doctor and explain what's going on. They may ask her to wear a heart monitor for a day or two.
492869 tn?1285018933 I've actually fainted twice and fortunately was not injured. Two other times I prevented myself from a full faint by lying down immediately. I knew what was about to happen and prevented it. Do you get pre-syncope warnings or symptoms? Knowing what these are could maybe signal you to sit or lie down so that you dont fall and get injured.
Avatar f tn I need some advise when i have a period the pains are so painful ive tried taking everything but nothing helps can i have some advise on what to occure it please
Avatar n tn In others, this condition seems to be present for a while before diabetes develops. I visualize that as a time period in which the beta cells are under duress and are spurting & sputtering along, a bit out of whack. While it may be interesting to know precisely what was going on during those years, it's terrific that you've achieved good enough control to not experience blackouts with diabetes.

Avatar f tn I'm 20 years old and generally in good health. I was recently put on cipralex for panic attacks and anxiety. However the first day of my period I fainted and have continued to feel very dizzy. When feeling hot the dizziness tends to get worse. My periods are usually quite heavy, however I have never fainted before. My blood pressure is usually normal to low. My doctor said it could be a combination of the medication and heavy periods.
Avatar f tn So I had sex with my boyfriend while on my period. Avatar n tn I started fainting when I was 5 (30 now), due to anxiety... I have fainted at least 60 times in my life since, it's so frustrating. The first time I passed-out was when the monkeys came and took Dorothy and Toto in the Wizard of Oz, crazy I know ~ since then it's ranged from fear of needles, watching other people get injured, getting my ears pierced, seeing a bear rug as a child, the list goes on and on.

917177 tn?1243354247 Is it normal for one to experience lightheadedness and fainting during menstruation? It's happened to me so many times before, typically as soon as my period/cramping starts I'll feel lightheaded, sweaty, and I'll fall to the floor and sit with my head on my knees. Occasionally this happens in the shower, or upon standing up if i wake up with my period, or even if it starts while I'm seated during a class.

Avatar f tn I am 53 and in menopause and I have actually fainted now while driving. My heart was racing and I had a hot flash and then I lost consciousness for 3 or 4 seconds. Went off the road, through a fence and into a field. Very luckily, no one was hurt. This happened a year ago. Had tons of tests done on my heart, blood work, etc. Nothing found. Now, a year later, I'm starting to get the dizzy spells again (not vertigo though, I've had that before).
Avatar f tn maybe low bp..
