Avatar n tn Hi i am a 24 year old nursing student. i wanted to ask for some advice. i am being seen by a cardiologist due to reacurrent faints. i have had an echocardiogram ecg which came back fine i am now to have a 24 hour holter and tilt table test. the cardologist believes fainting is just due to low blood pressue.. i have been refused my nursing placement due to these faints even though i was cleared by occupational health.
408496 tn?1269603350 I was just curious if anyone is or has tried to concieve while nursing. My DS is almost 6 months old and I have had AF twice since birth, but it is irregular (which is normal for me b/c AF was irregular prior to concieving baby number 1). I was just wondering if there are any tips besides the normal stuff for TTC - like any special considerations, is it harder/easier, etc. thanks!
Avatar n tn Hi there! I am pretty sure that I'm pregnant, but it hasn't been confirmed by a doctor yet. I'm nursing my 6 month old and I'm not ready to stop that yet. Has anyone nursed a baby while pregnant?
Avatar f tn As long as you and baby are happy, and you have no medical issues preventing it,there is no reason to stop nursing even after baby comes. A few nursing support groups to help with tandem nursing I found are the La Leche League (LLL) and breastfeeding mom talk.
1841589 tn?1319711519 However, unless you want to be BFing 2 babies at once, I would try to make sure your baby is weaned before the next one is born. Some people do tandem nursing, but not my thing. Nursing one is enough work already...especially a newborn. Good luck!!
Avatar n tn what is fainting disease, my son has fell down while standing. He has fell down 4-5 times in last 18 months.while morning school prayer. some dark shadows comes in his eyes & immediately after that he fell down. after felldown he remain unconcious for 30-40 seconds only. Today I consulted with a Neuro Doctor Puneet Syal (MD- Medicine) He told that my son may have chances 95 % of Fainting or 5% chances of Epilepsy desease and he advised MRI, EEG, ECHO & ECG TESTS.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar f tn When he was in his 70s, I often left work to go get him, clean him IF he had defecated in his pants, return him to his house, and then I would return to work. Even after he was 83 and had entered a nursing home, he would have the cramps and faint. The nursing home staff were obliged to call for an ambulance, and at this age, he certainly soiled his pajamas or pants each occasion. Now to my husband, who had NEVER had any sign of vasovagal syncope.
Avatar f tn Hey all! I'm still nursing my 15 month old about 4-5 times a day, I am about 5 weeks pregnant and I feel extremely drained/fatigued! I never felt this tired with my first. Anyone have any advice or know of a good way to boost energy safely? I'm drinking lots of water and trying to eat a good balanced diet and going strong on the protein. But still want to sleep all day. Any advice??
341190 tn?1295467125 Hi everyone, Last time i was on here was about 2 years ago, well so much has happened, firstly i was fitted with a loop recorder to try and find out what was happening when i fainted then my 17 year old daughter told me she was pregnant, shock wasent the word, i got used to the idea and was actually looking forward to it, she then found a lump in her breast when she was 8 months pregnant and had to go for a biopsy she obviously wanted mum with her so i dragged myself along, just as they were cut
280369 tn?1316702041 It only came out if I squeezed. So anyway, this time around I was nursing when I got pregnant and my son just stopped about 9 weeks ago and my milk dried up within 3 days. I then noticed that just a little bit of what I thought was colostrum was just coming out and only if I would squeeze it. Anyway....I noticed today that nothing is coming out anymore. Is that normal? Will I just start producing milk once the baby is born or will the colostrum come back later in pregnancy?
647365 tn?1292472212 My RE will reluctantly start me on a medication protocol most likely this week but has asked that I refrain from nursing 2 days post implantation as nursing may cause uterine contractions. There are studies that suggest that nursing does not negatively affect outcomes. Anyone have any info?
Avatar f tn I know you have to take special BC without a certain hormone cause your body is producing it while you nurse but is the pill the only option when your nursing? or are there other methods for while nursing?
7177914 tn?1399518500 So my doc did to take the Evening Primrose Oil to try and help soften things up. But the smallest bottle had like 90 pills in them. I doubt I'll use all of them and have heard that it's a good supplement to take all the time including while nursing... But I've also heard it can dry you up... sigh does anyone know?? I'll of course be asking my doc as well but would like to hear if anyone has any personal experience with it?
Avatar f tn I do not use any form of birth control and I know it could be possible. Has any one else gotten pregnant while nursing and how did you know. I have gone up to cup sizes in about the last 3 to 4 weeks, I am extremely tired, my breast hurt and nipples are tender when my daughter nurses. I had one time spotting about a week ago and took a test the day after the spotting and it was neg. I was told it could have been implantation spotting so it would have been to early anyway.
Avatar f tn maybe low bp..
Avatar f tn Though that is because I have seriasis, a skin condition that has covered my brest a fewmonths ago. If your friends brest are bleeding while she is nursing. There is a problem and she should see a doctor right away.
10228675 tn?1423881456 I'm curious the best place to buy Nursing tanks from? Before pregnancy i was a 38F.. now that bra is way to small.. so im looking for a nursing tank that my boobs will actually fit in.
Avatar f tn Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.
4545793 tn?1394592544 So im 17 weeks and 2 days and I was reading about 18 weeks and it says theres a chance of u fainting bc all of the increased blood flow..
Avatar f tn My mom worked at a nursing home while pregnant with my brother and she had to quit so she wouldnt miscarry it is very hard wrk she had to lift people and all. If u are going to be a nurse then it may be ok but if not u may want to be truthful cause if your not and u can't do the work u will have to tell them and if it is in trial period u could be fired for not being honest to begin with about being able to do it.
Avatar f tn I'm curious about conceiving while still nursing. We have an almost 12 month old, and have been trying for the past three months to get pregnant again. I have had regular cycles for me (about every 35 days) since November and am curious how long it took other moms the second time. I'm concerned that I may be having cycles without ovulation, and we really want another baby soon.
492921 tn?1321289896 I just saw another post from you. Looks like Kaelynn is only 7 months old. It may be a little while before you can conceive again. My DH and I are extremely fertile but I wasn't able to conceive until my baby was 15 months old. I had only been trying for a couple of months but like I said, I could tell by my temps. My progesterone was just too low. And I don't have any progesterone problems whatsoever. Everyone is different.
