341190 tn?1295467125 Jo, I definitely understand where ur coming from. I started having fainting episodes and was sent to an electrophysilogist who diagnosed me with autonomic dysfunction. He put me on betablocker which has helped some but am no longer able to stand for long or will faint. My symptoms are so like my symptoms of a panic attack is hard to know the difference and.whether I should push forward thru what may be anxiety or lay down and get my feet up to avert fainting.

Avatar f tn You need to get the diabetes treated and get on a diabetic diet. Until you do that, you are not going to feel well. Get tested for Celiac disease while you're at it. Have your BP checked because of that headache you're having. If you still have the dizziness, it may be a middle ear problem. For the constipation, start a probiotic and consider Metamucil and magnesium citrate tablets.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar f tn Is anyone else having problems feeling really dizzy or fainting? I passed out last week in the middle of cosco and almost again in Wal-Mart anyone else having or had this problem??
Avatar f tn maybe low bp..
2086477 tn?1332611994 Some say that I get up very fast and my blood has not enough time to travel to my brain (why dont I pass out while I am on my way to the toilet then?) others say that while urinating first thing in the morning the water ballance in the body dropps (I can not understand the issue.. Does someone have the same? Does anyone knows what to do (not to do?) I have to mention that I have MS, which is a neuroligical condition.. Guess it can contribute as well.. and I am 31. Thank you in advance !
Avatar f tn Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.
4545793 tn?1394592544 So im 17 weeks and 2 days and I was reading about 18 weeks and it says theres a chance of u fainting bc all of the increased blood flow..
Avatar f tn Often in people who have this disorder, they experience loss of muscle tone which presents similarly to fainting after experiencing emotion (anger, excitement, surprise, laughter). In my case, I thought I was having fainting spells, but was actually experiencing Cataplexy, which is when your body actually abruptly enters a REM sleep cycle. Since we are paralyzed while we are in REM sleep cycles, it results in a sudden loss of muscle tone or fainting.
Avatar m tn My mother has had bouts of fainting and light headedness. Sometimes they come weekly and other times not for 2 months. This has been going on since 2007. She has been admitted to hospital on a number of occasions but each time they have not come to any conclusions as to a diagnosis. These attacks of light headedness last 2-5 minutes. She slurs her speech, gets pins and needles in her arms, and sometimes but not always faints.
10777943 tn?1412955415 I'm the same, I get terrible fainting spells during pregnancy. I know its not low blood pressure because I've had preeclamplsia through both pregnancies but interestingly my iron levels have been really low particularly this pregnancy. I had an iron infusion last week and haven't fainted since. Maybe get your iron checked?
Avatar f tn ve dealt with a lot of dizziness, fatigue, fainting, (or more normally just getting really close to fainting) nausea and vomiting. I told my doctor about this and she thought it could be related to my migraines that I've had for years. My blood pressure has always been normal when the nurse checks it as well as my pulse. But I've become more aware recently how much my position effects my symptoms.
Avatar n tn I don't know if I am in the right place for this or not, but I have been fainting since I was 13 (now 30). It used to happen for no apparent reason (not from stress) & I went through many tests (EEG, EKG, etc) before they did the tilt-table test & figured out it was when adreneline was released into my system that heart rate went up/blood pressure down. I was on nadalol (sp)?
Avatar n tn And so, there is a lot of research ongoing to determine why vasovagal reactions occur and how to diagnose them. You see, while vasovagal syncope is the number one cause of fainting in children, it is sometimes difficult to identify this as the reason because there is currently no definitive test. This means that some children end up getting a lot of other fruitless tests looking for other causes of passing out.
Avatar f tn Do not be concerned about this. I am a Muslim, our proper prayer requires us to stand in one spot for a few minutes up to a few hours depending upon how long you want the prayer to be. This is five times a day. Your exact symptoms I have experienced. They are precisely as you say and you do defi itely feel you will pass out. I cannot stand without leaning on something or without moving for extended amounts of time or I will become faint likeand dizzy.
Avatar m tn She does have asthma - but we had that check recently with everything being as it should be. The paramedics had monitors on her while she was having the episode on the way to the hospital and they said her heart was fine. You say you believe she is just fainting. What is causing her to do this? In regards to our trip - you mentioned that we should have the "necessary thingsā€ with us. I am uncertain as to what these would be. Please explain. Thank you for your help.
Avatar n tn Did they test his glucose again while in ER? What scans were performed? Are you in area where there is high heat? If yes, was he well hydrated prior to going outside? I would schedule a visit with a doctor for a full health examination which should include stress testing [heart], and an A1c test to see how well he is controlling his glucose levels.
Avatar f tn I am 18 years old, and i keep fainting. I first fainted in the shower after not having anything to eat or drink all day, which i know is my fault. However, i have continued to faint every day since which has been about 10 days in a row. I had paramedics called out to me and had tests done like blood, egg and blood pressure. My blood was fine, i have a very fast blood rate and low blood pressure.
Avatar n tn Cold chills can come from having the flu, or perhaps in your case with the fainting, could be something as simple as you not having enough protein to eat on a regular basis. Protein is like the wood in a fire, it burns and heats up a person. And if you ain't got no fire, you'll get cold. In addition, protein gives you energy, and if you don't have any, you can get pretty weak and light-headed. But there are many reasons why this happened to you, those are just my top two choices.
Avatar f tn That happens to me and its due to me havkng low blood pressure...
Avatar n tn woke up last night having severe cramping in stomach went to have a bowel movement then a bad sweat boke out and i fainted i have type 2 diabetes could this be related
Avatar n tn With two of these episodes the symptoms were quite severe, the first having slumped against my sister because of weakness and almost fainting and the second with blurred and fuzzy vision with an orange ring around it and almost fainting. Both episodes gave me a tightness or squeezing in my chest along with a building pressure. Once I feel that I am almost going to faint it passes, but I feel weak and tired afterwards. I check my BP and it will be high.
